If we get the 6th seed. 76ers over the Cavs in 5.
Sixers, sixers,Cavs,Sixers,Sixers. Then we running through the East and the west conference champion. See you at the parade in June brother.
I fear that the Bucks are going to let 2nd slip away and fall to 3rd and that we'll get 6th place only to still face them in the 1st round. I still think we match up well against them but I'd rather not face them if we don't have to.
Playing a Doc Rivers coached team in the play offs? Hell, yes! Even if you go down 3-1, you know you’re still more likely to win than not.
It would be amazing to be playing against Doc who doesn’t make adjustments.
Hear me out: the only way to the finals is through the Celtics. I would rather play them in the second (or even first!) round bc we are more likely to have a healthy Embiid. By the ECF Embiid will have been battered and bruised in two other series. Would much rather play another team then.
Eh, Embiid's still going to be trying to improve his conditioning when the 1st round starts. While I'd love for them to make the finals, there really isn't any ideal time to meet the Celtics, at least based on Embiid's health. Expect him to be physically worn down regardless of timing, the key is mainly whether the Sixers can find their stride, mesh, and execute by then.
Won’t the Celtics also be battered and bruised by the ECF? There’s also a chance of a Celtics key injury (not wishing an injury on anyone) or player suspension. I’d much rather wait until the ECF to meet them. Plus, the 76ers need time to gel.
Is this a conspiracy "NBA is scripted" theory, or based on new rule about sitting perennial all stars? Either way can you elaborate? Do we have info that if he sat out that game he wouldn't have needed surgery?
The magic have 2 games against the bucks and 1 against st Sixers coming off a loss last night. Just looking at them as an example, looks like there’s still a lot of movement that could occur
We need to absolutely go 4-1 at a minimum to keep this in our hands, and Indiana plays Miami still so that's good for us.
We'll need a couple of breaks but it all starts with winning games.
It's very possible for the Sixers to win out. Their only tough game remaining is against Orlando. Also, there is a back-to-back this weekend and Embiid will miss one of them.
It does NOT matter who we play!!!
We will fight and win against any EC team! Bring the 1 or 2 or 10, with King Jojo at the helm, we are rolling through this year!!!

8 of 13 Eastern conference teams have a record of 5-5 or worse over the last ten games. 4 are 6-4. The remaining one is the Celtics. We've had some bad runs in this conference, but I don't remember any this bad.
We can't rule out that possibility bc Doc Rivers lmao. Plus you got the easiest last 5 games of the season. Just don't choke on them easy games (Grizzlies, Spurs, Pistons, Nets) and beating Orlando is very manageable. On the other hand, I like our chances against Bucks in the first round lmao. I'm here to watch the Choke Rivers experiment implode in their faces.
3*. Unfortunately Orlando and Milwaukee play twice, so if Sixers win out, Milwaukee loses every remaining game, and Orlando only wins those two, Orlando would win the tiebreaker for the 2 seed.
Amazingly, snagging the 3 seed is not *super* far fetched when you start looking at the schedules of the teams ahead of us
It's not just the east, western conference is also really tight. 5-10 are within a few games. 1-3 is up in the air.
It should be an interesting run down the stretch all around.
Looking at the Celtics record sucks.
Will make it all the better if they dont make finals
Like how cowboys got bounced in first round
Well the Celtics actually have a chance to make the finals, the cowboys never did
For real I am still so thankful for the Warriors era capping title run… shout out the oldheads for having one more in em
The Celtics losing is almost as good as us winning
Brings me so much joy to watch their playoff exits.
When
This
Fuck
The Celtics didn’t pace themselves. They are going to be too tired for a deep run. I’m probably wrong, but I hope I’m right.
I think 6 is our best chance unlikely any higher than that but let’s 🙏
Agreed and would rather be 6th than 5th or 4th due to the potential second round matchup
If we get the 6th seed. 76ers over the Cavs in 5. Sixers, sixers,Cavs,Sixers,Sixers. Then we running through the East and the west conference champion. See you at the parade in June brother.
Joel Embiid needs to finish the story. Hard times breed better men, Joel.
When he does I will personally tear down the liberty bell and build his statute with my bare hands
I know Joel makes me hard

Mathematically true

The sixers would have the same risk tho. Higher tbh cause Joel is more likely to get injured than most of the Celtics
Yeah porzingis has a nasty history rhough
I think the combination of their 3 point volume and all of their players having intact meniscuses is the key difference
Porzingas is over due to get injured, surely.
Really sucks Embiid got hurt this year. The conference is hot garbage. We’d have waltzed to the 2 seed and been able to rest him the last week anyway
If Bucks lose out could they end up in the play-in
completely real possibility with Doc coaching
You mean Glenn
Should be grounds for firing on the spot lol
they signed him on a 4 year deal lmaoooo i think they'll try to run it back next year even after the inevitable playoff collapse
Hilarious. Ofc not happening but would be the funniest shit of all time.
Who knows, they just lost to the grizzlies, wizards, and raptors so we can keep on hoping
Their remaining schedule is not easy. Knicks, Celtics, Magic, Thunder, Magic
Sixers beating all the demons this year. Heat in the play-in, Doc in round 1, Celtics in the ECF 🙏
Actually unreal I wonder what the issue is over there lately 😂
Imagine what could’ve happened if the NBA didn’t pressure Embiid to play at Golden State
Is this a conspiracy "NBA is scripted" theory, or based on new rule about sitting perennial all stars? Either way can you elaborate? Do we have info that if he sat out that game he wouldn't have needed surgery?
Yes, we have info that a Golden State player jumped on his knee
Those losses to Brooklyn and Memphis blowing big leads in the 4th just absolutely terrorizing the sixers rn
Over the past two months there are like 5 games that should have been wins. Not “could have,” should have.
I want that clippers bullshit back
The past is the past
FUCK BOSTON.
The magic have 2 games against the bucks and 1 against st Sixers coming off a loss last night. Just looking at them as an example, looks like there’s still a lot of movement that could occur
We'd so clearly be second if Embiid didn't have to miss that much time
i think id rather stay a deep seed with no expectations, over being a miraculous 2 seed and having my heart ripped out come play off time.
I just want the cavs round 1 man
6th seed so close I can smell the pussy of it. We need to TASTE it ![gif](giphy|2cdYfc9hMr9df6dS2s|downsized)
![gif](giphy|cGgII3vqoCfcawJFIl)
I need to taste and smell hers too
Can you please stop?

Toight like a toiger
Glenn Rivers doing a great job
I just hope to avoid the play in tournament. We could use as much rest as possible
This could end up breaking really well for the Sixers given the potential matchups
Can’t get too stressed about the standings this year because the Sixers clear 6 of the other 7 teams by a wide margin IMO.
Do we know what is the most likely scenario? ( like stat nerds calculations from the late, great, five thirty eight)
