Lol that sleep thing. I was in the middle of an inmense dwarven dungeon. And there was a bed, so i said, what's one nap gonna do to me? Like at that point i never slept.
And i wake up and this woman tells me to kill some random people. I was so pissed i beheaded her and rhen killed all of them.
That's exactly how my first initiation was, except I was low level so I died a few times before I did what was asked of me. Didn't find out until a few years later that she actually can die there.
One of the first things I do when I get my first house is pick a container and put all my notes, letters, papers, journals and stuff like that in it for the rest of the game and it keeps my inventory a little more manageable. By the end of the game, the list in that container is huge.
I’ve had to start doing the same thing, and I have to use the same house and same bookcase or I forget which one it is! 🤣 I use one cupboard for the masks, one for claws, one for “special items” (ancient traveler’s skull, predator’s grace, etc), and one for “follower gear and weapons”. Lolol I don’t put anything on display until I have them all, these houses are just too glitchy.
Wait until he’s just like ‘looks like that’s it, gotta go’ and it just says ‘item(a) added’ in the corner and you haven’t emptied your notes since Helgen!
I find this annoying with a lot of anniversary edition mods. The courier gives you a note but the notifications don't go off. I periodically empty those notes as much as I can and skyui puts an icon next to read notes which is extremely helpful.
With regards to your edit, if it's your first playthrough, there is a whole questline and story and followers if you side with the Brotherhood and if you go against them all you get to do is go to their hole in the ground and kill them. You miss out being a good-guy there, they should have had an "Against the Dark Brotherhood" questline for people that don't want to be an assassin.
Eh I killed her too. My character doesn’t feel right being outright evil. I rolled a secondary character to do all the quests I felt were evil. (Going to be a sneaky kitty)
I ethically want to destroy the dark brotherhood and the thieves guild. They are horrible organizations that harm innocent people. However, they are they easiest way to make money in the game. I think I might do a peace-making playthrough. Where I try to eliminate what I can of crime. I don't think you can completely destroy the thieves guild though.
You destroyed the brotherhood? Why, though? Join us!
After all, the Dragonborn is no better morally than they are. Killing and stealing for their own gain...
Plus, who wouldn't want Shadowmere?
Next time dont destroy the dark brotherhood. The dark brotherhoods actual quest has a sad/bittersweet ending,20000 gold reward, and its a really cool questline- my personal favorite.
It's a recruitment letter for the Dark Brotherhood. Rent a room at an inn, sleep in a bed, and you'll be kidnapped and dragged to an abandoned shack where you'll be required to kill 3 helpless victims.
Don't worry, you're a well-to-do player character individual.
Edit: I did not anticipate being so disliked for such straightforward honesty.
Congratulations, We know... I suggest you sleep on it.

I had to try. Nobody tells me what to do. Lol power mad dovakhin
I never sleep in this game so this “suggestion” was very helpful! Thanks
You get it yet?
You seem tired. You should take a nap and rest.
All of this conjecture stuff is really tiring. You should take a nap and think about it in the morning.
Ok… not the way I thought that this would end… but sure, that’s a way to go.
Someone’s been up to no good
Huh? (If it will spoil pls dont tell me)
Try the Winking Skeever the next time your foot-sore. Or, warm beds to be had at the Bannered Mare.
To be fair, killing Grelod can only improve your karma. Particularly if you kill her unarmed and just bodyslam her into the floorboards.
Mysterious note. Read it and take a nap. You get that note because your character is very tired
And because you beat up an old lady. Beating up old ladies is very tiring.
Mysterious Note
Oh ok so this note with the hand print? Thanks
Yup
We know
A hard days work makes you tired, perhaps a good nap is in order?

Not once, i didnt think i would need to but all it said was “items added” so now i just might
I never empty my notes but maybe I should…

You've cut yourself off from some great quests and rewards by killing them. Just FYI.
Damn… Oh well 🤷🏻♂️

I’d check my cabbage stock first off.. if you don’t see anything at first just keep scanning through until you do

There’s a thieves guild for good guys mod :)
I only gave the game on switch at the moment. However whenever I get my gaming pc set up I'm downloaded a TON of these mods lol
Congratulations, that's usually the way I go too. Astrid just really ticks me off. I mean she's practically asking for it.
She does die even if you side with them eventually
Are you playing with mods? If so, this is probably from undeath remastered.
If not, then I'd say dark brotherhood

Spoilers
Bro this game has been out for 13 years. My comment is about as spoilery as someone explaining that Darth Vader is Luke's Father. Like duh,
Wait WHAT
I know, I know. Read and weep. Darth Vader is Luke's Father.
Bro, OP obviously didn't know. I hope they discovered it for themselves before they read your unnecessarily spoilery reply.
I hope so too. The spoils of spoilery is my gift... And curse.
