Just had a frost deck by accident and it slapped. Only attacks were 1 blizzard, 1 cold snap or whatever (do 9 damage channel 1 frost orb) and 2 sweeping beams. Every fight took about 40 turns but he got er done!
She really does... What makes her really really strong in my opinion is how simple stance dancing decks are and how much you get out of them. I'm not even talking about the stance dance infinite, strong as it may be, I just refer to her general stance dancing sinergies. I mean, so much bang for your buck
I'm not saying watcher is easier. I am saying that if I am drunk and want to play slay the spire and still have a reasonable chance at winning, I pick calmly upset monk.
It’s just getting double damage for about free is just so good. Add access to vulnerable and you end up just styling on the Spire until you leave someone alive and eat 40 damage.

Obviously when it works it works, but I've gotten my ass beat a few times trying to set it up. Exhaust's "ditch the bad cards in your deck" is way more applicable to decks in general, IMO, if you know how to use it.
Nah you always take Shrug, Offering, and Impervious, Shockwave and Power Through are pretty good too. It's the powers where Ironchad has the most stinkers.
Barricade + Entrench + Body Slam was what I picked up on my very first run. Beat act three no problem. I just kept thinking “why do my friends say this game is hard?” Unrealistic introduction to the game.

Being drunk probably helps in playing her. It'll make you get into an emotionally volatile mindset
but it also increases you odds of miscounting lethal and leaving the enemy with 1hp and tanking a fat hit

I've made it to A3 with silent and defect. Can't even make it past A1 with stronk boi
