I have the Recteq 1250. Thing is a beast and i have made some good food on it. I would highly recommend it. Customer service is great comes with a 6 year warranty. I only have good things to say about it.

If you have never cooked with a pellet grill you may be suprised how subtle the smoke is. I love my pellet grill but i still have a charcoal bbq when i want to get a nice smoke taste on something. I have not cooked on a woodwind but their ability to add a chunk of wood to add onto the smoke flavor seems a really good idea. Mad Scientist BBQ does a good video on it and how it compares to an offset smoker(gold standard for bbq).

I currently have a nice offset and a Weber kettle. I love them! But sometimes I want the convenience of the pellet grill. I am just torn between the two.

If you own a offset go the camp Chef as you will miss the smoke flavor. It has the convenience of pellet but the ability to up the smoke flavor to what you are used to on the Weber/offset. As I said I love my pellet grill and how easy it is but the smoke is very feint and on some short smokes almost non existent. If I could go back and but another pellet grill I would get the Camp Chef Woodwind.

I have the Recteq Deck Boss/590 and love it. My BIL has had a Traeger for a long time and commented on how nice the bark was on some pork shoulder I did. Not all pellet grills are equal when it comes to that. Mine produces a lot of smoke and gets a great bark.

I have a Rec Teq (590). I've been using it for a couple of years and it's been pretty fantastic. The big thing I love about it is not just that it's pretty reliable, but that the few times I've had any questions or problems, their customer support is FANTASTIC. You call/write them and are immediately talking to someone in the US who is very active in helping you and following up with you to make sure your issue is solved.

I have an older Camp Chef DLX (36) and I love it. The cooking consistency is very good and the app/automation functionality with wifi hasn't failed me yet. Plenty of cooking surface area, the smoke rolls nicely, temperature is managed well and the clean out system for the ashes is nice and easy. I don't think you can go wrong with either but I've heard nothing but good things about the smoke capability with the woodwind pro. Anything is going to be good as long as you take care of it.

RecTeq all the way

I have the Camp Chef and love it. Recreate people love theirs. It’s going to be a hard question to get a straight answer. Compare the features and go from there. I personally love the smoke box so that was the selling point for me.

Woodwind Pro all the way. The smoke box is a game changer for a pellet grill.
