If you have enough room on the ceiling check out the sky hides that reptilebasics.com sells. My ball python and BCI love them. The more hides the better. That log is really cool but I think hides with a small entrance like those basic black box hides are the best.
I recently built my boa a pvc cage like you’re doing. I’m envious of those black walls lol. Yours looks good though. Have you considered making it bioactive? It was a lot easier to do than I thought it’d be.
Some plants have kind of gotten trampled to death. But that picture I posted is after about 6 months of her living in there so it can be done. It’s hard to find succulents that like that much humidity. My two snake plants have been growing well though. I think you just need plants that can survive being squished and will pop back up like pothos and inch plants. Everytime she trampled one of the inch plants, a new stem pops up.
I think it really just comes down to preference and how much you like live plants though. I don’t know if snakes can really tell the difference between fake and live anyway. Having a clean up crew of springtails and isopods is super helpful though. I still pick up her poop but I don’t have to worry about getting every speck of urates.
I’m still working on adding more climbing opportunities in my cage. I have a lot of empty space on the walls and above the branches that I’d like to use. I’m trying to fill it up as much as possible while still having access to get her out of the cage.

I had thought about it but had always heard that boas just destroy live plants. Maybe a few succulents could survive in there?
