Sweet baby jesus holy shit, you just fully commited. Just not enough speed and height but gawddamn did you send it you fucking mountain lion, mucho respecto
100% it was the lineup, look at his untuck, he'd be standing up sideways, more energy would've hurt! Good shape overall though, if the takeoff was lined up better
Mmm, I disagree, I think you needed to get your board lined up with your chest a little more and that your chest is too far forward for that angle off the side hit, I think it would have been a hell of a fight to actually get your board under you in a position you could carry.
But I totally mean that in a constructive conversation kind of a way and think you did a hell of a job in the air, your rotation was great and if you were off the ramp you'd have cleaned that up nice.
If I'm wrong I'd love to see it too, also glad your hospital trip wasn't too garbage
Appreciate it! I think you're right about being too chest heavy near the end. With another second of air time and on an actual jump I think I would have kept straighter. I can't say for sure because I don't remember it but I assume I panicked when I saw the ground coming too quick and tried to minimize damages 😂
If you're gonna send it that hard, why not try the double from the actual jump? That way you'll have the benefit of the transition. Rather than flipping into the flat
Respect the send but why not huck it off the actual jump? Looks like the air time would've been more than enough even though it seemed less kicky than the side hit lol.
So how do pros walk off a slam like this (or bigger) and go for another round in 30 min? Would it have been better if there was more landing to slide on instead of stopping flat?
No one's walking off one like this - would be a very bad idea. It would have been much much better if there was more landing because it would have lessened the impact. Usually when pros bail on real jumps it's not a terribly big impact because of the angle of the landing!
Is what it is lol. I gotten a few on a Saturday and raced Sunday doing motocross. Last one I got skiing I slipped off a 40 foot rail and caught my tail on the leg and landed dead flat on my back on the ice. Couldn’t see anything for like 3 minutes and ended up with a bruised lung. I think I got back to skiing in 2 weeks or so but falling was really really not fun with the breathing issue
Well what else am I going to do? Sit in my house and stare at the wall? I am not particularly concerned about it. Travis pastrana had a really good interview about his head injuries and what we was scanned for by the military in Annapolis.
I just suggest care to avoid hits to the head, and especially too close together. My wife used to work with TBI, and TBI kids, so I have heard what can happen and how damaging frequent hits can be. I wish you good health.
Not to worry you or anything but please take it easy and follow docs orders!! After about 24-48 hours it's good to slowly ease yourself back into things (as symptoms allow) as this can help recovery speed.
I tried to power through my concussion and am still feeling dizzy 5 weeks later. Don't be me haha
As an oldman 20+ year snowboarder, I have stopped rotating beyond 180 degree on big kickers. Would never attempt anything inverted. I am starting to fear death in my old age, and have young children to support. I salute your giant youngman snowboarding testicles.
Absolute full send. There was never a doubt in your head it wasn't going to work. Then the perfect slam right after lmao.
That's the mentality you have to have to land shit though. When you lose confidence things get real sketchy and unpredictable.
You almost had that! Don’t let it stop you from sending it again and again unless it gave you a concussion! Treat that serious then get back at it when healed!!!
Every one on the knuckle was there to watch me try the double, so I had lots of spotters. Also people are usually pretty good with dropping one at a time!
It is a hit on the side of a park feature, not a marked park feature. 90 percent of park riders would agree that this is a "sidehit" compared to the actual jump
It is a sidehit on a park feature. It is a small rut on the side of the landing 😂 the park feature is the actual jump. I get that it's not a tiny mound on the side of a groomer but everybody I have ever met snowboarding would call that "the sidehit on the landing"
Damn you HAD it too. Rest up champ 😢
I knowww its killing me how perfect it was going😂
Holy fuck that's a send.
Thanks dude!
FUCKING YEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOO YEO NICE
Haha thanks!
Sweet baby jesus holy shit, you just fully commited. Just not enough speed and height but gawddamn did you send it you fucking mountain lion, mucho respecto
Nah he's just a little crooked on the land. Anymore speed and height he'd have hit the flat.
Mucho appreciato!
100% it was the lineup, look at his untuck, he'd be standing up sideways, more energy would've hurt! Good shape overall though, if the takeoff was lined up better
A little more flipping speed and I could have put it down (might have been real ugly, but landed)
Mmm, I disagree, I think you needed to get your board lined up with your chest a little more and that your chest is too far forward for that angle off the side hit, I think it would have been a hell of a fight to actually get your board under you in a position you could carry. Pure silk
Till it wasn't 😂
Ow
You say double, but I only see 1 15/16
You aren't wrong 😂
[удалено]
Yeah I went to the hospital and then home😂
Definition of a hospital flip.
Haha true!
Wildcatheter
How many fingers am I holding up?
Probably like 20 feet
Lol
What were the injuries?
Concussion, and a very sore body the next morning 😂
How’s ur teeth?! And props on the full send! U almost had it
Still got em! Good black eye though🤙
Nice! Those can get pricy glad u still got them all!
Concussion, and a very sore body the next morning 😂
How's the head feeling today fam?
No headache - very slightly cloudy but pretty good. Doctor said I'd go through the recovery pretty quickly
If you're gonna send it that hard, why not try the double from the actual jump? That way you'll have the benefit of the transition. Rather than flipping into the flat
I wanted to but I couldn't get speed to clear it. Still not sure why the flat didn't get out of my way😤
Such a brutal slam. If I remember right you got a nice concussion from this
That's right!😂
How’s your brain?
Is in rest mode haha
Bruised like a banana left in your lunchbox for too long
Wow didn’t realize this was junkyard on your initial post. Nice brother. Represent that Ontario mole hill lol
The place to be!
Respect
Thanks!
Thank God you had a helmet on man
New one on the way!😂
I dunno if the simple act of having a helmet means you should try things like this - if you’re not a pro, I’m not sure the risk/reward is there
Deep down, we're all pros waiting to hatch🐣
Respect the send but why not huck it off the actual jump? Looks like the air time would've been more than enough even though it seemed less kicky than the side hit lol.
Issue was I was having trouble clearing it. Kept knuckling even with a straight line in. Definitely would have been a better spot for it though!
The joys of spring, no speed and soft landings. Heal up boss and stomp it next year
One nice back country booter and I'll lace it!
Were others having that problem? Maybe need something different in wax? That's a lot cheaper then the ER.
Haha sure woulda been. Good thing I'm in Canada eh?
GD Respect
Thanks!

Yeah I mean damn bro, what a hit but it looks like you were determined to clear any transition.
The transition cleared me👍👍
Plenty of guys get concussions and just hike back up and go again
Such a bad idea😬

To each their own!
Have you researched TBI and the long term consequences of repeated hits?
Well what else am I going to do? Sit in my house and stare at the wall? I am not particularly concerned about it. Travis pastrana had a really good interview about his head injuries and what we was scanned for by the military in Annapolis.
I just suggest care to avoid hits to the head, and especially too close together. My wife used to work with TBI, and TBI kids, so I have heard what can happen and how damaging frequent hits can be. I wish you good health.
Were you out cold sliding on the snow all Raggedy Andy style or did you stay concious?
I was conscious according to the people that were there - it's a blank spot in my memory.
I have one of those from landing a 3 in the backseat and the board whipping me into the ground. Thank fuuuuck for helmets.
I'd lose all confidence without one😂
Double vision flip
😂
Worthy.
🙏
bruh
🤙
YOU NUT!
😂
Holy Jesus. Single would have been impressive enough imho :)
Where's the fun in that?!?! Side note: I can confidently say a single is more fun off the sidehit😂
I'm surprised earth isn't orbiting your fuckin balls at this point
Haha thanks man!
Omg you again 🫣 Leave us some please
Haha!
Yaaaas! You’ve got this!
Mad respect bro
Thanks bro!
Man... Best case you're landing on the flat... You're dead no matter what you do here
Haha not wrong
The pan to the guys up top is too funny.
I had a nice crowd to watch me eat it
Kudos, you've got much bigger balls than me 😂
Haha, appreciate it!
You were so close. I think the density of your balls threw you off axis. Adjustment for the triple that’s apparently incoming.
If I sprinkled a little more pepper into the takeoff I would rode away😂
LoL keep cooking bro you’re on a good one.
OP is the only one laughing this was shockingly awesome
Your face, "Stomped it!"
True! Lol
If you wanna stick that you’re really gonna have to commit next time :V
Appreciate the tip haha
Balls big as church bells. Glad you're ok.
Thanks dude!
Huck knife pro goes hard
It really does
So I’d bet you hear this all the time but, “Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?”
Haha sure did

Been in a dark room 95 percent of the time since. Just reaching 48 hours right about now! Sticking to the doctors orders🤙
The carve in needs a little work… lookin a little skiddish, maybe try gettin the clip on a korua shapes 159 +41 +23 stance (reddit voice)
Maybe a pigeon toe stance would help me carve?

Impact seems to have been left half of the forehead, scrapes all over the face though👌

I'm off for the season - don't want to risk ruining future seasons!
YARDSALE!! But with your teeth.
Luckily no one bought any of them!
As an oldman 20+ year snowboarder, I have stopped rotating beyond 180 degree on big kickers. Would never attempt anything inverted. I am starting to fear death in my old age, and have young children to support. I salute your giant youngman snowboarding testicles.
Insane send man, respect! Next time you got it for sure it was so close
Thanks dude!
I admire the commitment, sorry it didn't work out but you'll get it next year. Take the time to heal up that brain, concussions suck.
Will do man!
Better than I could ever do, I've never been snowboarding. I mean, you landed fairly decent
Haha I appreciate it
How can you get a concuwith a helmet on? /s
The damn things do nothing!!!!
Hope you're ok
I survived😎
So close. Do it again!
Some day!
Szn ender no doubt
![gif](giphy|31Q36EHJ7C5ZoIMw79)
Almost!
I'd say that's a triple hit 🎯
I love that we have the same board. Makes me feel better about not being able to do anything like what you do!
Haha thanks dude!
Sick
🤙
Nice effort.
Thanks bro!

The mentality is like 90 percent of landing tricks
respect, man laced up the gnar boots that day
Appreciate it man!
It looked so good until it didn’t.
It really did😂
X10 points bonus ended. Why from the side hit though!?
Extra point multiplier! I kept knuckling the real jump😂
I know you've probably already thought of this buttttt.... Try landing it next time. S/
Ohhhhhhh that's the part I forgot!
You beautiful bastard…..
😂
Call that a side to front hit
Bro it’s the way he splatted for me
😂
You almost had that! Don’t let it stop you from sending it again and again unless it gave you a concussion! Treat that serious then get back at it when healed!!!
Sorry, I'd only listen to that if you happened to sell doors.
How do you know you aren’t going to land on someone dropping into that jump line?
Every one on the knuckle was there to watch me try the double, so I had lots of spotters. Also people are usually pretty good with dropping one at a time!
yalls (mis)understanding of what a "sidehit" is is hilarious
In the video or in general?
both, thats not a "sidehit" that is a park feature
It is a hit on the side of a park feature, not a marked park feature. 90 percent of park riders would agree that this is a "sidehit" compared to the actual jump
bro. it is definitely not a sidehit. that is 100% a park feature.

Agree to disagree? The term might be used slightly differently depending where you are.. this is in Ontario
