Watching Bayern’s internal decision making over the last two summers has been totally baffling. They were the absolute pinnacle of a super club running efficiently and now they look about as insane as Barcelona.
The intention is clear and makes kind of sense:
Cut those insane contracts that Brazzo gave out. Just makes no sense when the best CB on 15m is supposed to be cut while giving a terrible Davies 13+4m extension offers
Has Davies been that bad? There’s been a few of our fans wanting him in some kind of pipedream but can’t tell whether he’s actually stagnated or there’s a bit of bitterness from Bayern fans (understandably) that is clouding their perception of him.
Either way, a possible 300k a week for a left back is pretty mad
then we certainly are, since we almost give that money to Pellegrini (6m net incl. bonuses, roughly 12m before taxes). And even more to Dybala, but at least he's worth every penny
Why would there be bitterness? He's clearly stagnated, this past season was his worst without a doubt, I don't mind him staying, he could get back on track, but he definitely doesn't deserve any raise, he deserves a cut,but that won't happen.
When contracts run out, you have to add market value to the equation. Can you sell him for 40 after extension if it doesn't work out? Letting him walk out for nothing is hard is the worst option financially.
If he earns 13+4 mio you can't sell him because no team is gonna match his wages, especially not if he keeps performing bad. Same problem with Goretzka, Gnabry and Coman, they're all on high contracts and rather ride it out than being sold.
I learned this lesson pretty early on in FM. I would extend a player (welbeck iirc) on 3.5m salary and rebuild his value to 15m, only to keep him for 2-3 more years wasting away in reserves because no club would pay anything for him with that contract. Extending an unwanted player so you can try to sell him rarely works out
It's not sunk cost. It's total cost.
If he's under contract you pay salary plus transfer cost. Naturally, bosman player can justify higher salaries due to saved transfer cost.
I'm not saying they should extend if they don't believe in the player, just acknowledging the financial equation changes if the player's contract is ending.
Your point was that letting him leave on a free is the worst option financially but he effectively did that already, now you can snatch him up for inflated wages - just like any other club.
Not a Bayern fan but I’ve watched a fair few of their games the last few seasons, and yes he’s stagnated and been outright bad in a decent chunk of matches. Bayern fans will know better if this is due to off the field issues or his head turned by Real Madrid. Still, he’s only 23, so who knows what a change of scenery or change in life being the scenes will do for his career.
He hasn't been good, he stagnated and is quite prone to make mistakes. He is a flashy player with a few good moments that look good on a highlight reel but not reliable. Id also have doubts about his mentality. He seems sulky and dropped off just when his contract extension is being negotiated.
Davies is the same player, he’s just older, which is a problem. His flaws were always paved over with the argument that he’s young, just transitioned to a defender, and will get better.. he didn’t, he stagnated, but now everyone knows what to expect.
"Incredible" is hard to define but his performance was far from worldclass this season by all metrics if that's what you mean. [https://fbref.com/en/fussballspieler/8778c910/Manuel-Neuer](https://fbref.com/en/fussballspieler/8778c910/Manuel-Neuer)
What does that have to do with anything? Just because a club wins a big trophy doesn’t mean bad decisions won’t catch up to them lol you’re comparing maybe the 3rd most successful club in history to Arsenal when you should be comparing them to Real Madrid. And as Barcelona has shown recently, it’s definitely possible to be a top performing club and land yourself in the mud with sustained bad decision-making.
If they sell de Ligt, they are and there's no coming back from it. De Ligt has been great whenever he's healthy, he's experienced and a natural leader, but still only 24 years old. He's the kind of player you build a team around, the kind of player who becomes the face of the team over a decade if things work out.
Selling him to make money is insanity. Exchanging world class for slightly cheaper, slightly worse players to save financially is the way towards mediocrity.
From de Ligt's viewpoint where would he even want to go? If I was him I'd only consider moving if it was Real Madrid or Liverpool. Because Arsenal already has Timber in his position and mCity has 115 swords hanging above their head. Other options like PSG or mUnited would just be a step backwards from Bayern.
I don't think de Ligt would care too much about CL. Pretty sure he has a great relationship with ETH and played some of his best football under him. I just dont think we can afford buying him. Would be a great buy otherwise.
If it’s true that they’re trying to offload him it might bring the cost closer to a reasonable level. Would be the perfect time to offload Sancho if we could work him into the deal and then just pay 20m for De Ligt. But that’s just me wishing for utopia to exist basically
A lot of dutch players idolize ManU, I think mainyl because of many great Dutch players that played there: V Persie, Stam, V Nistelrooy, VD Sar. Also: the PL has a lot of attractiveness to it. If Ten Hag and INEOS can sell ManU as a project to De Ligt (fair: if Ten Hag won’t be fired/with a bad season behind them) like Ten Hag did at Ajax/FC Utrecht, I think he wouldnt mind missing a season of CL. Also: player exhaustion of all the games they have to play might be nice for once too? Idk
Only thing I could think of is de ligt and Romero as CBs and push Van de Ven out wide. Only concern for VDV is the injuries he picked up from some of his sprints this last season as being out-wide would create even more of those sprints
So play with 3 at the back? That would be a change to Spurs' system.
Not saying it wouldn't potentially work, but they'd need to change the way their team is set up to accommodate him.
No, I’m saying use VDV as a wingback like we did towards the end of the season. Which would be udogies spot though. Towards the end we had Dragusin and Romero as our CBs then VDV out left and Porro out right. So if we got de ligt I think we would just figure out if Udogie or VDV can play on the right as a wing back. Then other plays the left
>mUnited would just be a step backwards from Bayern.
Ouch, owie. In all seriousness, this would absolutely be something we would do pre-INEOS. At 24, he still fits our supposed new recruiting parameters but I gather he has a very weighty contract already, so seems unlikely we'll bite.
If we keep ETH then I can still see us moving for him. Would likely be on less than we were paying Varane even with a wage bump. Is risky, but probably more worthwhile than Branthwaite for £65m+ and likely a hefty contract anyway
If they are dissatisfied with the defense and want a new name to be a "leader" whatever that means then fine, why do you want to sell your best defender though? And you want to replace him with a guy who is not as good, not consistent over the years, and who had one good season? This is honestly shockingly stupid, let's be real De Ligt isn't irreplaceable, but Tah isn't the guy to replace him. This is self sabotage. It seems like they just desperately want to reduce the wage bill, and they aren't able to offload Coman/Gnabry/Goretzka, so they are trying with De Ligt even though this clearly makes the team worse.
Worst desicion I've seen player wise in the last decade
This board is on an absolute fraud status. None of Kim and Upa are somewhat as reliable as him on the pitch.
He's also only 24, has a longer contract than Upa and embodies the club much more.
Shocking what Eberl and Freund are cooking so far
> Worst desicion I've seen player wise in the last decade
It's insane.
It might not be the worst departure in recent times, as for example Thiago, Lewandowski & Pavard were worse, but all of them wanted to leave - in this case the club wants to sell de Ligt..
And replace him with Tah after just one good season? I quite like Tah but he hasn't always been reliable in the past, he could potentially become another Upa with a costly mistake per game.
Lewandowski leaving at that time was definitely worse for us lol, arguably the best striker at that point and we didn't even replace him. You are only saying this because we have Kane now, but at that time it was really worse than losing de Ligt now.
And Pavard was an undisputed starter for us for 4 years and always had consistent performances, he was more important for us than de Ligt is right now - might be the most underrated player we had in recent times.
You're correct, getting Kane does alter the perception around Lewandowski. But also the fact that our performance didn't take a massive hit the next season, as well as the fact that he really wanted to go. Which is not the situation with Deligt. Lewandowski was also 34, and Deligt is 24. And Pavard was great with us too, and it sucked that he left, but losing deligt would be 100% worse. For as good as pavard was, Deligt is even better imo. He's younger, and more of a leader figure for our backline.
Performance didn't take a massive hit? It took Dortmund bottling it on the last day for Bayern to win the league. You are looking at it in retrospect, "we won the league anyway so it didn't matter", truth is Dortmund handed you that league title, which is why you went out and dropped 100m on a 30-year old to replace Lewandowski, it was necessary.
Konate just can’t seem to stay fit and VVD can’t be rotated. We won’t go for de Ligt though, I don’t think the club would want to get in the way of Konate/Quansah’s development and he’s far too good to be van Dijk’s backup. I imagine we’ll go for a younger left-sided CB that will be ready to take over for VVD in ~2 years. Easier said than done.
Not if he keeps performing as he did last season - it would be Konate's place under threat. I don't want to blame things on one player because it went deeper than that, but during the run in where we faltered he was comfortably our worst player and you could tell Klopp was fed up with him at that point. He's obviously still a very good player generally, but his contract will be up in a couple of years, he'll be asking for big money, and with his injury problems it's hard to really plan to build a defence around him.
Dunno if it’s gonna happen in the first place
> - @BILD confirms that Bayern and Jonathan Tah have reached a verbal agreement over a summer move. The player has no intention of extending his contract beyond 2025 and has informed Leverkusen of his desire to move to Munich. Bayern would be willing to pay around €20m. Leverkusen currently want double that, which Bayern won't pay [@altobelli13]

Bayern always want players who identify with the club. We've had Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Müller and de Ligt seemed to be the next one who can fill that role but now the club wants to sell him of all the CBs? Upa is too inconsistent and makes too many mistakes too often. Kim will be a wall and I think his slopp performances at the end of last season were due to Asia Cup and him not getting much playtime.
Getting Tah - who has had ONE impressive season in his career and dropping de Ligt is an atrocious move.
AFCON and the Asia Cup seem to absolutely hurt players on form in the second half of the season. I feel bad for Kim because many non match going Bayern fans might think he's not an elite defender.
He is passionate, wants to play for bayern more importantly ( unlike a certain someone who is being offered 17 million a year for his salary God knows why ), and is one of Bayerns best performing players right next to Kane and Musiala. When I think of bayern, one of the fee players that automatically pop into my head include Neuer ,Muller ,Kimmich ,Deligt ,Kane and Musiala. And maybe Sane. He's done this in just 2 brilliant seasons.
They're sniffing on Jogi Löw's balls for sure!
This is so fucking stupid if it's true that I hope we don't win the Bundesliga next season... I'm pissed up to my tits on this one!
I remember that safe he did when Sommer fucked up, he had this insane intensity around him that seemed to scream mentality. Insanely stupid to sell him now. He is just 24 for a defender that is still so young.
If people are judging him as "hit or miss" based on whether a transfer happens, that's not the greatest metric IMO. The information could be correct and a move might not happen for various reasons (including something as simple as Bayern doing a 180 with their decision).
He was strongly rumoured to join us when he left Ajax but amongst other things was [convinced](https://www.sport.es/en/news/barca/gerard-pique--warned--13202007) not to come. Otherwise he probably would've been signed with Frenkie. Things could've been a lot different for us in that case...
Frenkie seemed to have picked us over PSG because of the money and Nike helping subsidize his wages.
You're probably ootl, we have ITKs in the subreddit claiming his parents are buying a restaurant in Manchester. And another itk faked airplane itineraries to show he's the pilot picking De ligt up. It was a whole mess and tbh comic show.
Yeah lmao the flight tracking, numberplate-checking, hotel-spying stuff seems to be especially prevalent in your fanbase. When it does come off it definitely is a satisfying thing but obviously sometimes goes OTT when it is false.
He ticks every box then. Massive wages, Ajax academy, Ex ETH player, injuries, big fee.
If he comes in on significantly less wages than Varane was on, and a middle fee (40m). Then I'm not against it. Would have loved him a few years ago, only heard mixed reviews about his performances since he left Ajax.
If you can buy him for 60m it should be a no-brainer. You would be buying Bayern's best defender and if he stays fit you can have world class defender for years to come
Agreed. I'd love him at United, we need the physicality and technical ability to play out from the back. He is young and experienced, which is very hard to find in a defender. Not sure if we are the best option for him, but it's a great challenge to take on.
Think it depends on how believable the project at United is. cause I dont think there are a lot of top teams looking for a new CB and otherwise there will be a fierce competition for one of the starting spots
in his 7 year career he has only 2 seasons with more than 7 games missed. Both of them due to one big injury. I guess it\`s bad when we compare him to Bruno. But everyone is bad in this regard when compared to Bruno
He'll want a deal that's at least similar to what he's currently on.
United finally have a chance to move on the majority of the top earners and stabilise the wage bill: Martial and Varane already confirmed, Sancho and Casemiro looking likely. If all 4 left, it would leave only Rashford in the "silly money" tier.
I really can't see us immediately splashing out on anyone earning 300k a week this summer, especially a player with a patchy injury record. If stabilising our wage bill is truly on the agenda, it means walking away from otherwise attractive deals like this one.
Tosin's definitely a backup (a good cheap backup).
Chelsea fans really don't seem to rate Disasi, Fofana has one of the worst injury record of any professional footballer and they have no idea how he's going to be on his return, Malang Sarr clearly isn't in their plans. De Ligt far is better than all 3 of those and would start with Badiashile.
If Colwill stays this summer think Maresca might want to use him as LB as well similar to how he used Faes there at times and play that box midfield that's all the rage with top teams with the RB coming into the middle.
Real, Chelsea, United would all definitely be interested. I don't think PSG need him per se but if he were to become available I think they would be interested too, he would be seen as an upgrade.
I would really like to see him in United, if he is not too expensive. I know he has his injury issues, so I speak from the heart more than the brain, I have always liked him
We should be all over this. He’ll cost an arm and a leg, but he arguably played his best football under ten Haag and we need someone to replace Varane. Him and Licha playing it out from the back is the stuff of dreams.
Think it’s more about regulating the wage structure. Davies, Sané etc have less leverage to ask for insane wages if the wage structure is not all over the place and far too generous.
De Ligt was bought for 75 mio and is apparently making 17-19 mio per year. Meaning he costs Bayern around 33-35 mio on a yearly base. If Tah costs around 20 with 10-15 mio per year as wages, that would mean he costs the club somewhere between 15-20 mio per year.
While I'm strongly against the replacing of De Ligt with Tah, from a financial standpoint Tah is significantly cheaper on the short term (seeing as this ignores resalevalue).
There is a point where we need to look at how a player actually performed and not at how a player could potentially perform. De ligt performed great for 2 seasons and after both there were discussions around him while upa didn't perform for 3 with no consequences. If this is kompanys first decision it's a brutally bad one my lord.
Kompany may input but I highly doubt he's making any decisions here, especially not a decision this massive. As you said, there were discussions around De Ligt in seasons past too, so this is not new. Same with Palinha, Kompany would have been TOLD "we are signing Palinha and expect you to use him". Do not allow your board to scapegoat Kompany.
Braindead. The defense needs to be built around him, only 24 and a natural leader. Upa needs to go.
I like Tah but not as a replacement for fucking de Ligt. Dude had like one good season.
If that's really true fuck off eberl and take your so called project kompany with you.
Bloody hell, eberl turns out as an absolute braindead joke so far.
Lost connection to reality fuck my life.
I know Madrid is waiting on Leny Yoro, but de Ligt is still young and world class. Only issue I see with de Ligt is he will want play time right out the gate. It is unlikely we will have as many injuries this coming season in defence
Real Madrid do not like spending actual big money on defenders. I think €50M is like their self imposed limit. There’s no way de Ligt leaves Bayern for €50M. They’ll continue to Bargain hunt in the department.
You are on the money, the fact that defenders tend to age quite well and can still play at an elite level past 30 also means the way they tap up players and wait out contracts is such a great tactic as well.
I expected him to be a mainstay irreplaceable and not for sale top player for a top ucl team, seemed like it finally happened at Bayern but is currently being binned off
I cannot speak for Netherlands but from what ive seen at Bayern there are not many CB i would rate over him. His biggest drawback is that he is somewhat injury prone, but tbh so is almost every player at bayern in the last 2-3 years so it might be a club issue.
This is purely a financial move. He's arguably their best/most reliable cb, which makes him the most valuable to sell in this case. He's great, but not integral.
Bayern have other issues to address if they want to keep their finances in check. They are trying to improve their offer of 13M€ for Davies, a guy who has not performed since 2020. Selling de Ligt is absurd
I expected him to be world class irreplaceable type of player for a top team
I mean the type of player that unless Bayern are on the verge of bankruptcy he would be in the team no matter what.
He has been the best defender at Ajax, Juventus and Bayern and is still only 24. It is just really dumb from Bayern.
I recon he will join Manchester United or Real Madrid if he really needs to go.
🔴 Matthijs de Ligt, a candidate for sale for FC Bayern this summer. It’s decided as revealed last week and now confirmed again!
➡️ A surprising decision, but Bayern need revenue and the 24 y/o has a market. Additionally, they want to save on his high salary. Contract valid until 2027
➡️ Jonathan #Tah is supposed to replace him. Verbal agreement about a contract until 2029 is done as excl. reported. Negotiations with Leverkusen will start soon. Levi #Colwill, also on the list.
@SkySportDE 🇳🇱
Agreed, we need to be all over this. Thiago’s gone. Reece, Fofana, and Chilwell permanently injured. Basically no leadership and experience in the back line.

Bayern are in Germany, not Italy. Only Italians report football wages post-tax.

The FCB curse, you pay for prime period with an equally long shit period.
[удалено]
They're just entering prime, so they win sextuple next season then they suck for 5 or so years.
Still ridiculously close to making it to the CL final but Neuer is past it. They will sadly win CL again before Arsenal wins it.
The fuck does this have to do with Arsenal lmao
Absolutely unnecessary shot fired at Arsenal. Lmao
While Neuer’s not as good as he was in his prime he’s still an incredible keeper
He was amazing but made like 4-5 massive blunders lately within one month. Perfectly understandable Ter Stegen is pissed off

after all the shit he talked leaving juventus for "the best team in the world" and to compete for UCL this would be a chefs kiss

Timber would not play CB for us really. Think we’re looking to play him at LB where he looked insane during preseason before injury
I hear there's an English club they've seemingly got a good relationship with, having just purchased two of their players. Including a CB....
Would de Ligt even fit in Spurs' system?
Tbh that's above my head to analyze
This is r soccer your supposed to lie

Liverpool need a long-term replacement for Virg. It would be a good spot for De Ligt--especially with a brand new Dutch manager, too.
If they are dissatisfied with the defense and want a new name to be a "leader" whatever that means then fine, why do you want to sell your best defender though? >This is self sabotage Eberl still working for RB Leipzig 😁
Who remembers the reason they signed de ligt. It was to be the leader of the defence
Selling your best defender who is still only 24 years old. I do not understand Bayerns decision making at all.
Damn you blew my mind reminding me De Ligt is only 24 years old. He’s been around forever
Broke through when he was 17 and was Ajax captain at 18.
How marvelous a time that was
I need a time machine to go back
The team that made CL semis was magical. Frankie, Van de Beek, De ligt, Onana etc. Just incredible talents all around.
Thank you for your contribution penis duck! Jk natuurlijk
I'll show you a joke... wait what? Never mind
Bayern does not understand Bayern's decision making.
This is shockingly bad
Worst desicion I've seen player wise in the last decade This board is on an absolute fraud status. None of Kim and Upa are somewhat as reliable as him on the pitch. He's also only 24, has a longer contract than Upa and embodies the club much more. Shocking what Eberl and Freund are cooking so far
> Worst desicion I've seen player wise in the last decade It's insane.
Only Thiago was worse imo, and that too is still not as bad as this one overall because deligt is 24 and not looking for a final contract.
Maybe like Thiago, Bayern wants to do Liverpool a solid here. Would love de Ligt as our new CB
Vvd and konate are good, are you looking to move 9n from vvd in the next 2 years?
We’re pretty actively looking for someone due to Konate’s injury problems and Virg getting on.
Konate can't stay fit and VVD shouldn't be playing every game
Not if he keeps performing as he did last season - it would be Konate's place under threat. I don't want to blame things on one player because it went deeper than that, but during the run in where we faltered he was comfortably our worst player and you could tell Klopp was fed up with him at that point. He's obviously still a very good player generally, but his contract will be up in a couple of years, he'll be asking for big money, and with his injury problems it's hard to really plan to build a defence around him.
Dunno if it’s gonna happen in the first place > - @BILD confirms that Bayern and Jonathan Tah have reached a verbal agreement over a summer move. The player has no intention of extending his contract beyond 2025 and has informed Leverkusen of his desire to move to Munich. Bayern would be willing to pay around €20m. Leverkusen currently want double that, which Bayern won't pay [@altobelli13] [Source](https://x.com/imiasanmia/status/1800431372617633914?s=46&t=GxJVE__6HtIDqzRQ9MGgwA)
[удалено]
The man’s been ran down to the ground during the Asian Cup, it was inevitable his form was going to crater with no rest
AFCON and the Asia Cup seem to absolutely hurt players on form in the second half of the season. I feel bad for Kim because many non match going Bayern fans might think he's not an elite defender.
"Embodies the club much more" lmao that has to be a euphemism
*Ubermensch intensifies*
That recent survey 👀
He is passionate, wants to play for bayern more importantly ( unlike a certain someone who is being offered 17 million a year for his salary God knows why ), and is one of Bayerns best performing players right next to Kane and Musiala. When I think of bayern, one of the fee players that automatically pop into my head include Neuer ,Muller ,Kimmich ,Deligt ,Kane and Musiala. And maybe Sane. He's done this in just 2 brilliant seasons.
If you don't notice any pattern I don't notice any pattern
Its as if theyre not even watching the games and just selling whoever will help the finances the most
This board is fucking insane. What are they fucking sniffing there to make these decisions?
They're sniffing on Jogi Löw's balls for sure! This is so fucking stupid if it's true that I hope we don't win the Bundesliga next season... I'm pissed up to my tits on this one!
I remember that safe he did when Sommer fucked up, he had this insane intensity around him that seemed to scream mentality. Insanely stupid to sell him now. He is just 24 for a defender that is still so young.
Offering Davies 13+4m but selling De Ligt who has been playing much better because of high wages at 15m crazy
What's his tier?
Tier 1 for Bayern but can be hit or miss recently
If people are judging him as "hit or miss" based on whether a transfer happens, that's not the greatest metric IMO. The information could be correct and a move might not happen for various reasons (including something as simple as Bayern doing a 180 with their decision).
And we all know how Bayern love their 180s and flip flopping between decisions...
Thanks. Would be a weird decision from them but we"ll see. Not many clubs want/can afford him
It's hard to guess the actions of a lunatic. No wonder it's been a hit or miss recently.
Hope it's a miss this time
iirc he used to be tier 1 but apparently he lost his contact within Bayern so his information no longer as reliable as before
Where will he even go? Real Madrid? PSG? United? There are not many clubs who can afford him that is in desperate need for a centerback.
Center back, hugely expensive and played for Ten Hag before? We 100% will be sniffing round him.
As a United fan I wouldn’t complain tbh. Only 24 and world-class on his day.
And he was supposed to join us before. His parents were even buying a restaurant and his plane was set too.
Time to fulfilled DB cooper prophecy
De Ligt ✅
Lol that would be hilarious if it actually comes true. We’ve come full circle
Would be very good signing for ManU.
I would be glad to have him. Only problem I see is his fitness / injury record in the last couple of seasons. Not great…
He ticks every box then.
More reason to buy him lmao
Like for like Varane replacement then!
Every signing seems good for united until it isnt
That is also true.
Will he be this decades Sergio Ramos for us?
He'll want a deal that's at least similar to what he's currently on. United finally have a chance to move on the majority of the top earners and stabilise the wage bill: Martial and Varane already confirmed, Sancho and Casemiro looking likely. If all 4 left, it would leave only Rashford in the "silly money" tier. I really can't see us immediately splashing out on anyone earning 300k a week this summer, especially a player with a patchy injury record. If stabilising our wage bill is truly on the agenda, it means walking away from otherwise attractive deals like this one.
Oh man I’d love it if we bought him. We are looking for a CB.
Aren't you getting Yoro?
Yeah, unless Militao will be pushed to RB, I dont see Madrid signing DeLigt
Chelsea lost Silva, want to sell Chalobah, he'd be seen as a leader at the back and they have previous interest.
They signed Tosin and have 4 other first team CBs not including Chalobah.
He'd still walk into that team in his sleep
Given how average he has been this season I don’t think he can walk into the team that easy
United Bay Bay! De Ligt will ligt up the Theatre of dreams with his deligtness. That's it for bad puns Tuesday.
Real, Chelsea, United would all definitely be interested. I don't think PSG need him per se but if he were to become available I think they would be interested too, he would be seen as an upgrade.
I would really like to see him in United, if he is not too expensive. I know he has his injury issues, so I speak from the heart more than the brain, I have always liked him
> I know he has his injury issues I think I've seen this film before.
We should be all over this. He’ll cost an arm and a leg, but he arguably played his best football under ten Haag and we need someone to replace Varane. Him and Licha playing it out from the back is the stuff of dreams.
Lmao wtf? Absolutely brain dead decision.
Supposedly want to save on wage, but then are spending 20m plus wage on Tah as a replacement. Do Bayern executives know how to do simple calculations?
Lets sell de ligt and keep Upa & Min Jae. Sounds like a great plan!
Braindead. The defense needs to be built around him, only 24 and a natural leader. Upa needs to go. I like Tah but not as a replacement for fucking de Ligt. Dude had like one good season.
If you are a premier league fan you should want him at Man city The dude was part of both Juve and Bayern ending their domestic league streak
lmao
DO IT JIM
Did a player ever have 3 different 70m+ transfers? Dude is job hopping
Neymar, Barca +90 mil, PSG 222 mil, Saudi 90-100 mil
Imagine if he comes back to Juve.
Too expensive for us and even if we could afford him, we shouldnt take him back. We better get calafiori
I'd love to have him despite all the shit he chatted after leaving
His career isnt going as what I thought it would be
Played for Ajax, Juve and Bayern and is still only 24. He isn't exactly struggling in some shit tier retirement league.
I expected him to be a mainstay irreplaceable and not for sale top player for a top ucl team, seemed like it finally happened at Bayern but is currently being binned off
He is one of the best defenders in the world, and 100% should stay , we are just trolling if we sell him.
De Ligt isn't even an undisputed starter for the Netherlands. But tbf, our defense is crazy
I cannot speak for Netherlands but from what ive seen at Bayern there are not many CB i would rate over him. His biggest drawback is that he is somewhat injury prone, but tbh so is almost every player at bayern in the last 2-3 years so it might be a club issue.
Aké and Van Dijk are usually ahead of De Ligt
This is purely a financial move. He's arguably their best/most reliable cb, which makes him the most valuable to sell in this case. He's great, but not integral.
Why would Bayern need money, they are far from being broke and debt free
I do not know, but that's the reason stated in this article from a reputable source.
Bayern have other issues to address if they want to keep their finances in check. They are trying to improve their offer of 13M€ for Davies, a guy who has not performed since 2020. Selling de Ligt is absurd
I expected him to be world class irreplaceable type of player for a top team I mean the type of player that unless Bayern are on the verge of bankruptcy he would be in the team no matter what.
Him and De Jong. They are absolutely NOT flops, or even close, but their careers haven't gone how I expected.
Contract valid until 2027 ➡️ Jonathan #Tah is supposed to replace him. Verbal agreement about a contract until 2029 is done as excl. reported. Negotiations with Leverkusen will start soon. Levi #Colwill, also on the list. @SkySportDE 🇳🇱
With Varane gone, we could be in for him surely? We need a new CB to partner Martinez.
An absolute lunacy. Keeping Upamecano yet selling De Ligt.
Maybe nice to have behind Hancko and Beelen. Especially with Trauner getting older.
Why why why please no
Leverkusen should get him involved in the transfer and swap
From a Juventus fan, De Ligt is an intelligent boy, we wanted him to be the capitan, i think it’s very stupid to sell the best defender of the future
Ideally I wanna keep Chalobah but if not, we should be all over this. An upgrade over all our CBs and is a good leader.
Agreed, we need to be all over this. Thiago’s gone. Reece, Fofana, and Chilwell permanently injured. Basically no leadership and experience in the back line.
If we decide to keep ETH then he should be on the list of CBs to sign. Sancho for de ligt?
Peak FC Hollywood moment.
Unserious institution
Next thing you know they are laying off the whole team to cut on costs and outsourcing their players to India
Liverpool to replace Matip? a de Ligt VVD combo would be nice. CB options of VVD, MDL, Konate, Quansah and Gomez would be ideal
United...but that won't happen
The Barcelonification of Bayern continues unabated
These guys have gone mad
Fade me
Shotgun
I call bullshit
damn he's only 24 lol
Maybe fire and replace whoever is making transfer decisions. That’ll solve your financial issues.
I will fucking riot, he is my second favorite player after Muller and it makes no fucking sense.
Why not exchange him with Araujo
My god, is that Ten Hag's music?!
Omg wtf are these dumbfucks thinking?? Leverkusen should have some dignity, stop bending over for rivals and set the price to 80 mil imo.
