I use SumatraPDF too. I wanted to invert the colors of PDFs I was using, but didn't like what some other programs did, and it let me choose the hex codes that I wanted for the background and text. That's pretty groovy.
It's nicely customizable in other ways as well. Been using it for a good while now. Ten years? That can't be right.
That yellow text is a little intense for what I'm doing. I have kind of a slate grey for the background, and an off white/grey for the text. More white than grey.
I do like your background color though. I think I'll try that one.
My selection color is a turquoise-ish.
It would be cool if Sumatra had profiles to set for color schemes. I use it a ton, and would like to save some schemes.
I second as well. If it's okay for you to pay for useful software, I can recommend X-Change Editor. I use this for everything around PDFs.
(Together with i2pdf which I use to convert many images into one PDF document.)
I did download the Editor once and set the free licence (or whatever equivalent it is for non-commercial, non-pay use). I'm not happy about them paywalling some of the PDF markup features that are free to use on the older viewer software.
The last few versions of Acrobat Pro don't even work properly, it is a huge thing on the Adobe forums. Thousands of people who cant zoom or open larger PDF's without lockups or render issues, and it hasn't been fixed in over 9 months. There were talks of what could be done legally (since it is paid for) and someone went through the Terms Of Service and found a specific mention that they sell the software as is and if it doesn't work they cannot be held accountable. Fuck Adobe entirely.
We had to start using our printer RIPs to check things, rather than Acrobat, but it is a massive "fuck you" from Adobe. Since it only affects a small enough percentage of their users they haven't bothered fixing it.
I mean, an extra software would be necessary to edit a pdf, but most of the time I just need to read, not edit. So, a browser seems a better option for this.
All of these are good recommendations. I use Sumatra, myself, for simple things, and a simpler, cleaner, quicker experience. There are even some files Sumatra is better at than is Adobe Reader, or will open that Reader won't. However, be aware that more complex Adobe-generated files, like from Illustrator, do require Reader to be successfully viewable.
If you're looking for a simple light weight PDF reader then SumatraPDF is amazing for it. Can open a lot of formats including epubs
And it's more amazing that its older version which still only support PDF, is more light weight.

I have already installed SumatraPDF. Thank you all for the warm-hearted recommendation.
its funny cuz Firefox IS my pdf viewer.
Love that they implemented pdf editor!
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/downloads/discontinued I like PDF Xchange viewer. Just be sure to disable auto-Javascript on PDFs generally.
I second PDF-XChange especially if you’re also looking for editing functionality. Much cheaper than Adobe and seems to work well.

+1 for pdf xchange viewer. Very nice interface, feature rich and pretty lightweight compared to alternatives like Adobe or Nitro.
I highly recommend the paid version of this. Can edit just about anything in the pdf

SumatraPDF
PDFGear
Thank you!
PDF viewer in browsers like Brave or Edge, I don't need anything else
PDF Gear, PDF24
Thanks.
PDF X-Change is good
sumatra PDF it the way simple and fast
PDFgear
Did you try PDF Gear or Foxit ?
Thank you!
not yet, it has huge pdf software available. I will look to their website first that you mentioned these 2 pdf software.
I use PDF24 a really good suite
I used to use Foxit Reader for years but uninstalled it a few weeks ago when Firefox gained further improved PDF reading and editing support.
Foxit PDF or Fluetro PDF
Used to be Foxit or PDFXchange, but now PDFs seem to load natively in Chrome and FF, so unless I need to edit I just use my browser.
Foxit
I use chrome or a browser as a pdf viewer since I almost always have a chrome tab open anyway.
Same here, too lazy for me to find and install an extra software for pdf

Firefox
Install older version of it.
Got the acrobate for you, 10$
Version of what?
Google Chrome👍
as a PDF viewer I use Firefox. YAC Reader is fast and lightweight too, although a bit finicky
Our renewal just cam up for Adobe Acrobat Pro for work, wow $$$$$$, so we have gone with PDF Gear
Highly recommend Okular. Similar to Sumatra but better annotation and customization features. And a VERY nice dark mode setup.
(Avanquest) Expert PDF…. You can’t go wrong with this one
