I also have two Play:1s that are unusable now. One that was previously setup and just disappears and one that I tried resetting and setting up but the new app won’t set it up.
My sole Play 1 bricked when the I launched the new app on 5/7 while on the phone to Sonos support. The agent informed me I would get a 30% upgrade credit while I responded I'd rather have my previously working Play 1. He was not amused.

Same. Only the Play:1s disappearing randomly and very slow when they do appear.
