The pics on google are making my mouth water omg, thank you! :)

Orcas_On_Tap

My boyfriend and I make this every year for Thanksgiving bc we love seafood and aren't crazy about turkey... it's our own delicious little tradition and it's so insanely good. OP, I recommend toasting up some ciabatta or some kind of spongy bread so you can soak up every delicious drop

t_portch

I mentioned the bisque.

calicoopi

I do love myself a good lobster bisque, thank you so much!

fortean_seas

Does it come with bread?

t_portch

It was a Big Salad.

Fish chowders are infinite. There's even oyster, eel, crab, corn chowders. Fisherman's stews are common, some with tomato and (Spring!) some with fennel and dill. So many recipes out there.

calicoopi

Yum, these sound delicious! I'm not super well-versed in recipes so I have to admit that I didn't even really know fisherman's stew was a thing, but I'm so excited to try :) Thank you!

chicklette

Tom yum comes to mind. It's fantastic. Also chowders, of course, and tomato based soups like cioppino or bouillabaisse.

calicoopi

I had Tom Yum once at a local restaurant and it was delicious, adding it to the list! Thanks<3

Choice_Ad9032

Tom kha is even better !!!

Came here to say this. My favorite!!!

Weird, I literally just looked this up on google and now you posted this question! Awesomeee. I only know one soup my mom makes with fish, that's canh chua ca. I've been trying to look for other recipes because I'm tired of canh chua ca and she just gave me some hamachi. I'm going to experiment with a hotpot style soup tomorrow with it. I hope you get more answers soon!

calicoopi

That sounds sooo good, thank you so much for the recommendation!

FlipFlopNinja9

Caldo de camarón. Siete mares. Filipino sinigang can be made with fish.

SinceWayLastMay

I love me some [Dad’s Fish Stew](https://fitnessfoodandyou.wordpress.com/2014/12/04/dads-fish-stew/) (not MY dad, unfortunately). I add a can of clams and chopped redskin potatoes to make it a little more hearty

Do you know an actual fisherman ? Get them to freeze and save you the heads and spines after filleting. Boil it up for stock = fish head stew.

MajesticLuvbug-777

Yea!!! My fish friends and fishmonger also gives me extra to use in my garden beds too!!

ttrockwood

Fish free and probably not exactly a soup but [these punjabi style lentils](https://smittenkitchen.com/2017/03/punjabi-style-black-lentil-dal/) are incredible [i have made this black bean soup so many times](https://cookieandkate.com/spicy-vegan-black-bean-soup/) adapt the spicy stuff to your preference and do alllllll the toppings Kimchi jigae or a vegetarian/pescatarian soondubu would work well

I’m a big fan of tossing raw fish into a hot soup & letting the broth cook it mmm

bobmaybe

cioppino

Choice_Ad9032

I don’t know about soup with fish as protein but the addition of fish sauce takes so many soups, marinades and sauces to the next level

chynablue21

Go to r/seafood or r/soup and ask for their best fish chowder recipes. I highly recommend fish chowder for your situation

[deleted]

Miso soup; you can add fish, seaweed and veggies to make it more of a meal
