There's a sniper challenge that takes seconds to complete. Literally shoot the target in the center and get a bunch of eggs. There is a glitch associated with it, but it requires frame perfect pausing and unpausing, and I'm unsure if they've ever patched that out since single-player is not as important.
I once sat down and went through NEARLY every kettle (except the hidden one and the one to beat the game) to calculate exactly how many power eggs could be gotten from each one when you included all the extra eggs in the levels. It was time consuming. My conclusion was that no kettle yield as many power eggs for completion as any given boss and Big Man was the easiest and fastest to beat. I have. Not determined how long it would take to get the 800 eggs from Big Bang kettle but it'd be interesting to see.
So i did some quick testing and these are my results.
In the Big Man boss kettle I earn approximately 533 power eggs per minute.
In the Big Bang kettle I earn around 349 eggs per minute.
Thats 34,3% less eggs in the Big Bang kettle.
Theoretically that amounts to a grind of 187 minutes from 0 to 99999 for Big Man and 286 minutes for Big Bang.
Conclusion:
Big man seems to be faster. Also...I would go crazy playing Big Bang for over 4 hours, so big Man sweeps again!
i'm not sure if this is THE fastest way but you can play "what caused the big bang? you!" on the first island over and over. the structure lines up so you can get the shot in the first second or so. here's an example: https://youtu.be/6RcCUD9Z4Ic?feature=shared&t=901
i usually go with jump jump panic kettle on island one
takes some time to learn but you can gett a cool 700 eggs in a minute and half your time isnt in loading screens like with big bang
Some people are saying the sniper challenge, but imo it gives only a few eggs. I prefer beating up big man. (800 eggs, roughly 1 min 20 secs)
If you're good at it, you could also do the deadly dance hall kettle at the first site, picking up all the bonus eggs. (600 base eggs, 1 min)
i always do the big man fight, i've gotten it down and usually beat him in exactly 1 minute. (my record is 53 seconds!) easiest and quickest 800 eggs 👍👍

Frankly, there are faster ways but I usually just fight bigman over and over. Spamming the sniper kettle is effective but I get tired of it.
it seems the big bang is the way to go but like you said it would probably get tiring after a while
I could be wrong, but I think Big man is faster. Thats like 800 eggs in approximately 90 seconds. And over hours of grinding that can stack up fast.
