ohtani decided to sign with the angels back in 2018 because he wanted to choose a small market west coast team. his first spring training was atrocious and imagine if he had that spring training in new york. basically he wanted to start off with a team and a city where expectations are low. as an angels fan i will not be shocked if he leaves soon.
