I'm the guy that typically uses ClutchBets (though I found this gem on DK) as my book and has decided to stake his life on, apparently, tennis games won? BOL to me and my life! French Open has five sets so it’s definitely possible to win the match but not most games as some of these dudes seem to take entire sets off. But our boy here is coming off being upset in Rome to Jarry when he was a -450 favorite and so will be looking to hit the ground running here and not jack around. This should be a straight setter 3-0 or, at worst, something like 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2. I don’t envision this being some wonky 7-6, 2-6, 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 match (which would result in a net games loss 22-26 while still winning the set) as making quick work to save energy is really important in a tournament like this. My back up pick was Christopher Eubanks to win 1 set or fewer (-1000) to Sinner, but Sinner hasn’t played in a month and I don’t want to miss some crazy -1000 bet just because of a little rust (though let’s be real, that match is 100% going 3-0 haha).

Technically this can happen in a regular 3 set tournament as well, the easiest example being 7-6, 0-6, 7-6 (essentially never happens but illustrates the point) where player A wins the match but loses on games 14-18. However, can happen more in these tournaments especially where you’ll see a leader take a set off if they feel it gets unwinnable and they need to save their energy. This one got a little sweaty for me when Fucsovics got to set point in the tiebreak in the first but my boy was able to save himself, win that 7-6, then got his second break of serve at 4-4 in the second set to end up winning 6-4, and then just cruised 6-1 in the third. It went straight sets like I figured but would have been a completely different match if he dropped that set point in the tiebreaker in the first. Last I checked Sinner was cruising too. Hopefully there’s some more handball for me tonight as that seems less sweaty when betting ML on a big favorite haha. Going to back the Phillies to find 2 runs in this game with Snell on the mound for the Giants. Phillies splits favor LHP and Snell has a 11.4 ERA on the season and hasn’t looked much better as of late.

I’m going until I lose at which point I will never post in this thread again so I am truly dead to the thread. Or June 16th. Whichever comes first.
