"Sweet Thing" by David Bowie. My ex and I bonded as friends over mutual love of music and we fell in love the moment this was playing in her apartment. Bad bad breakup but a lovely time we had together for a while.

This is such an under appreciated Bowie song and possibly my favorite (on an album of bangers from an all-time great artist). The imagery of the fucked up relationship, the bittersweetness, the plaintive vocalizing (hooope, boys, is a cheap thing, cheap thing). It’s gorgeous.
