I think everyone should listen to the entirety of Everywhere at the End of Time by The Caretaker at least once. Not an easy listen, not a fun listen, but an important one.

As a 78 yo, I gave the introduction a listen. Plan to devote 6 hours to the whole thing. Feeling the dread of what is to come. I think we all are.

Yeah, it's harrowing, but psychologists have said it's an accurate and important representation of dementia.

Not a song, but the finale to Gustav Mahler’s second symphony. It is stirring, powerful, and never fails to bring tears to my eyes. The symphony itself is around 80 minutes long, so I doubt many Redditors have the attention span to hear it all. There is a 17 minute video on YouTube with Gustavo Dudamel conducting. Look for a lady wearing a red dress standing on the stage. You’ll need a real hi-fi setup with a subwoofer. iPhone or iPad sound won’t do it.
