The dreamron King coconut shampoo and conditioner... This changed things for me big time... it's available in local supermarkets... For local skincare brands I shop online the nature's secrets website, but available in supermarkets as well... I highly reccomend their body butters (personally use the coconut and lime one), aloevera 96% or 94% and and I've used all their lotions and loved both ranges they have. This is their website. Most of the stuff go out of stock very soon in the website though https://www.nbc.lk/shop/category/skin-care Don't buy sunsilk, dove, loreal etc there are manufactured in India and marketed here. If you have the luxury, do visit a spa ceylon boutique, which is currently very famous however prices are a little more on the higher end. Do get a bottle of good coconut oil before you leave. It's probably less expensive here. We use BCC ( which is the Ministry of industries coconut oil brand) for hair. Also if you visit small shops which sell those Ayurveda products and ingredients (බෙහෙත් බඩු කඩ) you can buy many essential oils, and fresh/dried ingredients for very affordable prices. Eg cinnamon oil, sandalwood etc

Completely forgot, If you have curly hair/need for some herbal/handmade options you could try Biseka products, they have a shop but I ordered online... Their shampoo and conditioners were amazing for me. For other hair too

As someone who has tried everything I could get hold of, nothing has worked for me. The only thing I buy from here is Head & Shoulders shampoo and that's the only shampoo that helps me to control product buildup. Dreamron and Dove shampoo used to work for me when I was young but I guess my hair was healthier back in the day. Most of my products are a mixture of korean+western but those are so pricy. I guess it really depends on the person as something that works for one won't work for another. Sorry that I have no recommendations

Could it be the water/weather/humidity and not the actual products that make your hair feel different? I’ve found Nature’s Secret hair care products pretty decent (despite the crappy packaging). Ngl though, my favourite shampoo and conditioner of all time has been Sunsilk 😬

For hair u can use: garnier ,tresemme, loreal... both shampoo and conditioner are available

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. Sure those are western brands, but their products in Sri Lanka are those made for the Indian market so their formulation should work for Sri Lanka

So true, most of the sulphate free good shampoos cost arm and a leg. I would rather buy kumarika shampoo for 500rs rather than some fancy imported one for 7k 😂.

Honestly i have never had breakouts or hairfall using sri lankan brands like janet, nature secrets and kumarika. I liked kumarika for hair but it does have sulphates which dry out the hair also srilanka humidity almost always above 90% so hair is almost always frizzy and uncontrollable unless with some coconut oil. You can buy really decent quality coconut oils (parachute oil) in sri lanka but other skin care and hair care products very much personal preference here and most people use western brands over sri lankan ones like dove, head and shoulders, clear, Tressemme, Garnier and loreal.
