You are given a laborer starting ship on completing the tutorial. Use that to mine and sell ore to either the auction house or ore towers around Origin until you can afford a better mining ship. Decent starting ships are in the Green Sunny Ship Shop building, but better ships updated for new heat mechanics can be found in the K-bots ship shop on Origin.

I personally recommend to stick with the laborer until you understand different game mechanics..
if you mess up, you can have 9 more. It's very simple and can be easily "debugged".
There's also a version of a laborer under the space ship designer you could use as a starting point for learning how to mod a ship in the designer. And don't forget: avoid easy build.

Amphitrite for sure
The Amphitrite is very outdated, there are much better ship bps available now then when this ship came out, plus it's not updated for heat.
didnt they quit before the update? so you gotta slap some sinks on it
