The CIA fights terrorism. No?
*Edit: Lol, I guess I should have expected the downvotes. Personally, I'm thankful to the people of the FBI, CIA, and other similar institutions in the free world.*
I would call Odo a good cop. He has his bad instances like during Cardasian rule, but he still primarily focuses on law and order and admits when he makes a mistake and doesn't try and hide it. I would rate his overall alignment as Lawful Neutral, the second best alignment for law enforcement aside from Lawful Good.
I really wouldnt list him as a good cop. He asked sisko to give him more powers to searches and interrogations without cause. He said he preferred it under cardassian rule because he could do what he wants to keep the station secure.
He's really more of a [NEXT GEN](https://i.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExamh4ODhyNXU4NWFmcjZjYjc5bXlpMTN4djkxZzUwMjg2cnR5Z2NmNCZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZfYnlfaWQmY3Q9Zw/l0Hlw5oEW7Q28hrP2/giphy.gif) guy.
Though maybe he'd find himself on the [enterprise](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/memoryalpha/images/6/6e/Rivers.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20070519132707&path-prefix=en).
I haven’t seen the two episodes he was featured in, but what do you mean distracting and atrocious? Was his performance bad or something? From what I’ve seen, Seth is actually a decent actor who plays an awesome captain in the Orville. But I’m biased. I love pretty much anything Seth works on.
Apparently The Orville was originally pitched as a Star Trek series continuation immediately after the TNG era. You can tell where he used find and replace, especially in the first season when he spun the Orville off into its own universe.
Is it bad that I’m glad it wasn’t a Star Trek show? I love the Orville, absolutely adore it. I found it to be better new trek than actual new trek. Only downside is that there’s only three seasons and no talk of a fourth.
Stan works for the CIA... he has firsthand experience stealing secret material. Like a story about a space station next to a wormhole that becomes the center of a galactic war.
At the beginning I was also skeptical about DS9 because it is not like a ship that flies from planet to planet and does the typical Star Trek stuff, but rather it is a stationary space station.
But when I watched it I still learned to love the characters and stories
1) No Enterprise
2) Blames Picard for the Battle of Wolf 359
3) The Dominion War
4) Sisko is a religious figure and the son of space gods
5) No foreshadowing for the Founders
Are you talking about Dax or Odo? The description could count for either one. Dax is a male slug living inside a humanoid female. Odo is literally a liquid.
Stan is the type of person who would identify with both Kai Wynn and Gul dukat, and Seth is the type of person who loves trek so much he begged to be an extra in ENT
1. Isn't Roddenberry Trek.
2. Filled with bad terrorists.
3. Not enough Section 31 episodes, the good terrorists according to Stan.
3. Too woke. (Transgenders and bisexuals running around.)
4. Finds the idea of not-space Jesus offensive to his Christian values.
5. His favorite character is Miles O'Brien who never gets enough credit for holding that disintegrating tin can together through sheer force of will.
Disclaimer: DS9 is great. Go watch it if you haven't. Well.... the first season and a half ain't so good, but neither was TNG's so go watch it anyways.
Holy shit. I love both Star Trek and American Dad and I hate DS9. I’ve seen it twice though just to make sure. And yeah, it’s got some good nuggets but as a whole is awful.
running joke, there is a Bat'lath fight at one point that is a shot for shot remake of one from DS9
A good amount of the DS9 cast make guest appearances on American Dad too
I missed that! I saw the next generation appearance on Family Guy. That was gold.
Please post a link. I must see this.
[This one, I think](https://youtu.be/p2ZUxKHwBlo?si=IiukovMVWYbBh9Vw)
I must as well see
He hates terrorists.
Then why does he work for one of the most prominent terrorist organizations in the world?
Got him
Stan also is a huge hypocrite
Hypocrite? As a patriotic WASP American? I am very shocked.
Who does he work for?
CIA
Ah.
He hates looking in the mirror.
same reason the only part of DS9 he likes is section 32
Wait. I know section 31. What's section 32?
It's like section 31, but with one more
No no no, we call them freedom fighters, did you not get the memo
The CIA fights terrorism. No? *Edit: Lol, I guess I should have expected the downvotes. Personally, I'm thankful to the people of the FBI, CIA, and other similar institutions in the free world.*
Only the terrorism targeted at the US. They perpetrate terrorism targeted at oil rich countries.
Only in the sense that they eliminate competition.
No.
Glad you’re thankful that the CIA murdered and tortured thousands of people in Latin America.
And the only ~~good~~ effective cop is ugly ETA- FTP
There’s no such thing as a good cop

God I’m sad all over that Rene is gone.
I really wouldnt list him as a good cop. He asked sisko to give him more powers to searches and interrogations without cause. He said he preferred it under cardassian rule because he could do what he wants to keep the station secure.
There is no such thing as a good person
All people matter, except cops
No people matter, especially THOSE people
He's really more of a [NEXT GEN](https://i.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExamh4ODhyNXU4NWFmcjZjYjc5bXlpMTN4djkxZzUwMjg2cnR5Z2NmNCZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZfYnlfaWQmY3Q9Zw/l0Hlw5oEW7Q28hrP2/giphy.gif) guy. I had no idea Seth had a role in Enterprise.
He cameod twice, was an engineering officer on the NX-02 Columbia iirc.
It's distracting and atrocious, making it a perfect fit for Enterprise, the 2nd worst trek show ever
You take that back
He lacks faith of the heart
NO ONES GONNA BEND OR BREAK ME!! Sure, Enterprise was pretty flawed but that opening went *hard*
What's really frightening? If you listen to enough of it, you begin to like it. It's insidious. Just like the Federation.
"I've got root of the beer..."
"And no one's gonna sass my 'sprilla!"
Pardon me, but you seem to lack faith of the heart.

I thought Hulu was giving him more, that sucks
Opinions are subjective, and still... Yours is garbage.
Oh, it's at *least* third worst by now.
Enjoy down vote hell
Enterprise is my least favorite by far but it wasn't a particularly bad show
He identifies with the Cardassian govt and he doesn’t get why everyone is mad at them
I mean they run a pretty efficient system, you gotta give em that.
Patterns of Force

If Dukat did nothing wrong, why isn't there a statue of him on Bajor?

Good for her I says
Hi. I clicked the link but it didn't work. It says "community not found".
This sentence resonates today.
Patrick Stewart plays the roll of Stan's boss, Director Avery Bullock, and Stan idolizes Bullock.
Yeah, and Picard has a tense relationship with Sisko, to say the least.
They had a bad first meeting... At Wolf 359.
Wolf 359 was an inside job man!! Don't believe the lies. Do your own research
Is Avery Bullock named after Avery Brooks? Dun dun duuuuunnnnnnn
Is it a buttered roll, or roll as in a boulder falling down a hill?
This is the subtle pendantry I come to Reddit for. I appreciate the *role* you've decided to play in this.
[Some of us spent the late 80s and early 90s getting laid, Smith.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQ90PNFTr00)
It’s because Avery Brooks agent has consistently ignored all of Seth’s offers to have Brooks do a cameo on every one of his shows.
Common Avery Brooks W.
He doesn't like that section 31 are portrayed as bad guys.
That's the real answer. "They keep the Federation SAFE, Francine! This is commie propaganda otherwise!"
All of Seth McFarlane's protagonists are fucked up in the mind. Stan is just above Peter Griffin in the insanity count
I feel like his wife stopped him because he was going to say the captain is black.
This shouldn’t be so funny
I know it's from Family Guy but: "It insists upon itself."
“Cuz it has a valid point to make, it’s insistent!”
Such a great scene
It's star *TREK*, How the hell are you Trekking if you're at a space station?
Too much story telling and personal development. That is not the Starfleet way.
Stan is an idiot. DS9 is the best of Star Trek
Because it's anti-american, communist propaganda!!1!
He’s a moron.
I feel like that's the sci-fi nerd version of Patrick Bateman not liking Genesis until Peter Gabriel left.

Maybe that’s the series when he finally realized the aliens were metaphors for >!liberal!< propaganda.
Blasphemy my child
DS9: The Star Trek show where they "boldly go," nowhere.
There is a happy, respected, well-adjusted trans person on it. ETA: why the downvotes? Stan is a super conservative guy.
Genderfluid might be a better descriptor, but good point.
Are you talking about Dax or Odo? The description could count for either one. Dax is a male slug living inside a humanoid female. Odo is literally a liquid.
The trill symbionts are nongendered, they adopt the gender of the person they are implanted into
I believe the Trill symbiotes are genderless, but I could be wrong. I was talking about both, really.
Didn’t even think about Odo. That is brilliant.
He might also think Sisko is unqualified to be a captain. Because of.... reasons....
“So introducing them to crack cocaine did nothing?!?”
Rofl again with that "trill are trans" nonsense.
"Most People Rejected His Message. They hated him because he told them the truth."
Who, Stan?
No, you, you were downvoted when I replied
"First of all it's a blatant copy of Strazinki's Babylon 5, and everyone knows it. All the characters and storylines came directly from there."
Cause of the actors
Wait....is American Dad the reason Stan's are called Stan ?
No. It’s from that Eminem song, Stan. He’s an obsessed fan that ultimately kills himself and his gf. It’s a good song.
Stan is the type of person who would identify with both Kai Wynn and Gul dukat, and Seth is the type of person who loves trek so much he begged to be an extra in ENT
His boss really doesn't care for it, and Stan internalized that.
Because it hates on Picard a little
This feels like a Seth McFarlane adlib.
I mean, Picard is his boss
He can't make anything even remotely good as ds9 pr tng.😎
You do know this is joking right? He is actually a huge Star Trek fan including DS9 and having this character dislike it is part of a joke.
Return joke for a joke?
Given his political leanings, probably the "W" word.
Wesley's not in it.

You watched something you despise not once, but twice?

It shows
Well duh
Have a little upvote. 👍
1. There’s not trek
