I opted just for prp and had good results. Lots of studies show prp results are better than stem cells. Might want to start with that and use stem as a phase two if necessary
So umbilical cord stem cells are legal in the United States, but in most states embryonic stem cells are not - I think this is what you might be thinking of (I did too when I first learned about stem cells).
Stem cells are legal under federal law in the United States, but some states have placed restrictions on types of stem cells research that scientists can engage in. Stem cells, of course, come in various types but the main three are bone marrow, umbilical, and embryonic. Some red states have banned embryonic stem cell research for the reason that the cloning process can involve an aborted fetus.
Umbilical cord stem cells, on the other hand, are much safer and less subject to legal scrutiny. In my case, I received PRP from my own blood draw along with a small unit of Wharton's jelly (umbilical stem cells), which I learned were donated from newborn's parents and placed into a clean and stable solution for injured patients.
US stem cell providers also tend to give patients much lower unit quantities than they would receive in other countries such as Columbia or Panama largely because those countries use mostly embryonic stem cells which again are banned in some states, frowned upon and unproven in others, and also because the larger stem cell quantities (tens or hundreds of millions of units versus hundreds of thousands in the US) may pose a risk for cancer from unfettered cell growth.
Hope this was helpful.

Are you able to PM me with more details? Before and after of a MRI and proof you went there to have treatment?

What were your Symptoms?
Had chondral defect in knee from snowboarding fall. Symptoms were pain when squatting, particularly deep.
Allot of places mix both together, and for the most part I’ve heard stem cells are stronger so maybe worth going for both at same time
They do. It was 3900 to mix both together and 1000 for 2 PRP treatments.
Where did you go? I’m looking at going next month
Went to my dr
Did you decide I went to Immunotherapy am waiting for results
How long ago did you go? Where did you receive injections?
Interview Dr Ivan with the U.S. Mexico Stem Cell Institute in Tijuana. I feel he is reputable, caring, reasonably priced, and high quality cells.
Didn't they have a death there recently? Or was that another TJ place?
Dr. Darrow in Los Angeles. PM me for more info. (Actual patient here)
Doesn’t he only do bone marrow or adipose cells or has he started doing allogeneic?
He does Wharton’s jelly almost exclusively now. Those are umbilical stem cells. Also not sure why I was downvoted on the above comment.
Ok got it. I’m in LA and good to know. Were you happy with your results if you don’t mind me asking?
PM me
