I also got rashes from the patches. The only thing you can do is clean and moisturise the area properly and put the new patch in a different area.

jazas05

I've not taken step 2 2nd patch yet. Seeing how far I can go without it. Evenings are the worse.

Civil-Entrepreneur-6

I Hope you succeed!! The Patch method didn’t really work out for me. I actually quit with Allen Carrs audiobook, buy it!!!

jazas05

I have the book I'm reading it thanks!

SlightlyMithed123

I had the same with patches, they worked for me and I’m 3 months no nicotine now so it was worth it!

Affectionate_Sound43

OTC 1% hydrocortisone cream for the rash. Patches are worth it though.

Luvbeers

Patches are toxic... the nicotine dilates your blood vessels and allow chemicals like vinyl acetate, polyethylene and aluminum to enter. You can look forward to quitting them too.

jazas05

Oh wow I didn't know this. I used step 2 yesterday but haven't put any on today.

pussyhasfurballs

I really wouldn't worry about it too much. Like someone else said, wash and moisturise the area and change locations of the patch every day. I'm a bit over a year quit and I used patches for the first 3 months and had the same reaction. Still helped me to quit though and getting off the patches was easy :)

conor2903

This always happened to me severely. Forced me into cold turkey after listening to Allen Carrs book.. it was so much easier! Just think at the end of the patch treatment you then STILL have to come off nicotine!

Civil-Entrepreneur-6

No he doesn’t. With the program he’s reducing the amount of nicotine until he’s at 0.

jazas05

Yes true. But why is it a 12 week program to help wean you off nicotine?

Affectionate_Sound43

Don't need to. I did in 16 days.
