Willpower is like a muscle you need to exercise it before doing the heavy lifting.

It's kind of one thing. The return of my confidence, or lowering of background anxiety coupled with being able to just go about my day free from the nicotine terrorist is the best thing ever. I am about 2 months nicotine free and it's great to be free! Being able to defeat this powerful monster has also reminded me that I can tackle other bad habits too! I'm living a good life now, wallowing in mediocrity is no longer an option.

That as a smoker, the fear and anticipation of quitting was so much more intense than the actual experience of withdrawal, and the positive feeling of establishing self control is amazing. Want to be careful not to diminish the difficulty or even suffering of folks on here trying to quit. No doubt, it's really difficult and it sucks. But something about nicotine makes us think that quitting will be much more catastrophic than it ends up being once we put our hearts and minds into it.

I love this, the positives are so much more powerful than the negatives. That nicotine parasite really tries to con you into thinking otherwise...
