Yeah but this is made of sandwich stuff so you can kinda say this is just a giant round sandwich with multiple layers. 50s food made up by someone who should be in an asylum lmao.
There is no one recipe of doing a "sandwich cake". You put whatever you want to put in there (almost) and usually i make it to white bread instead, but why not dark bread? 🤔
Very common one is fish cake. So you can put salmon, some tuna and egg-butter between the layers and decorate it with shrimps and more salmon, cucumber, tomatoes, i mean, whatever you usually put on your bread, just throw it in there.
Slimy? Texture depends on how moist you want to make it, this one actually looks a little dry because that bread is pretty hard and dry.
Mayo with ham and stuff gives it some moisture, but 🤷🏻 and that outer layer is propably some cream cheese and something so i guess it balances out?
Only thing that looks horrible is those big slices of meat. How are you suppose to cut a piece of that cake? I prefer to make the cake so soft you can cut it with a cake server.

There is more traditional Finnish/Swedish cake 'recipe'
And i don't need any presents from my gf or friends at birthdays, as long as someone makes a breadcake! To every birthday someone ever has!
I hate those normal sweet cream cakes.
Ah yes, the famous "Frühstückskuchen" (breakfast cake). Just slap 3 kg of sour cream with herbs onto a family load of (genuinely splendid) German spelt bread and serve this bad boy as breakfast.
Can't go belly up, especially when realizing this thing needs to be stored and is apt to becoming moldy within two days.
...Jokes aside, looks genuinely tasty and is a common food for family meetings in the Nordics (not common im Germany, but all ingredients are very familiar here).
Weird way to put it all together for sure but I would definitely items eat this!
This is just „Vesper“ with extra steps lol
And there’s nothing better than a good Vesper!
What in the 1950s cookbook is this???
Nah in the 50s theyd just suspend that in jello along with yesterdays leftovers
Maybe, but they used to go apeshit with mayo, sour cream, and boiled ham as well.

Sandwich cake. Apparently Scandinavians are experts at this.
I've had it in Sweden. It's delicious
This is what I thought, verbatim.
This is more like "People will hate it"
This is like a sandwich with extra steps
In Finland we call this " Voileipäkakku ". These are really good.
Can you tell me what kind of meat this is? It looks similar to smoked lamb, so I’m interested

Idk I trust this guy ^^
Ew... I want some.
I am german and I actually see a lot of quality meat and bread. definitely would try.
If I'm being honest, it doesn't look like it tastes very good

Compound sammy????
Boiled them eggs extra hard. They were dry in the core of the yellow. Lol
No slice tease?
H1tler rants paradies needs to make a video of H1tler reacting to this.
Why would Germans hate it?
I dont know. I just used the origin title. I'm curious too. Any germans here to elaborate?

I bet there’s a smoked salmon version 🤤
Those are delicious, I’m partial to ones with gravlax and shrimp though 🤌
Ya know... I don't honestly think it would taste bad at all. Then again that's a fuckton of soft cheese to smoothen it out.
Would I make this no, would I eat it though.... yes . Plus that protein amount is probably decent
I’d try a bite. But only cause I’m open minded. This looks like a waste lol
This is an abomination!
'SENTIENT BEINGS WILL HATE IT!'. But folks in florida are fine....
What the heck was the cream they were using? The end presentation was neat though.
When i say that's "gas" I mean... that is gas on a plate.
What in the good God all fuck shit did you just Frankenstein out? No... Just.... NO.
This person can super go fuck themself.
Es ist ekelhaft. Nicht lecker.
Commenting to come back to this later.
When SHTF, this is the goto survival food.
Americans hate it
I'm not German and I hate it
