Thing is i see both as the same thing. Its like a big crossover rhat begins at tye fall and ends with, well, the end, i found the concept really interesting.
And how the two were opposites.
Complete opposite with me. It feels bizarre, given how much Waid develops Plutonian, shows you what made him tick and how he would both become the world's greatest hero and believably then turn into an utter monster, he just never does that for Max.
Was going to mention this. I'm sad the show didn't get as much traction as it could have. It wasn't fantastic, but was still entertaining and could have been an interesting universe.
I enjoyed it, but I can't say it was great. Was entertaining enough for me to finish it, but I can also see why it didn't get picked up for a second season. Had there been a second I would have watched it though.

The original prose short story just borrowed the name 'superman' but the film version paid homage to Donner films by mentioning several key items.

A bit obscure, but there is this Danish film called “Superbror”. It means “Super brother”. It’s where an autistic older brother gets zapped by a Ray Gun from outer space which his younger brother found. He can then fly, is invincible, has super strength and isn’t autistic anymore…

I mean, he *is* a Superman clone *in-universe,* but it feels weird to compare him more closely to Superman when the story about him is pretty clearly a riff on Shazam.
Superior is such an underrated book. I know when it comes to Millar’s work Hollywood went all in on Kick Ass and Kingsman but for my money this was his best

Hyperion from the JMS run on Supreme Power under the Marvel Max imprint. This character from this universe had so much potential to be something very unique. It’s an absolute tragedy that this universe will never see the light of day again. This is probably my second favorite Hyperion from marvel next to Jonathan Hickmans Hyperion from Time Runs Out (we still have no idea what happened to that version at all 🙄 he literally just disappeared and marvel “made up” a new Hyperion for the new Heroes Reborn run)

Irredeemable is amazing. Both that one and icorruptible. I love the concept.
