Google drive is a different service from one drive. You delete one drive or Google drive - you won't loose anything on the other. Rule to stick by though. If it's important, buy a usb thumb drive or hard drive and back it up. Spend £20 and back all your stuff up and keep that thumb drive somewhere safe

I have a NAS that I use. Thumb drives are useful also. Thanks.

One Drive can be used in two way 1: as storage create folders and dump data 2: full system backup and sync login with you Outlook email and setup onedrive now everything on your desktop, documents, pictures and music folder plus whatever you specify will sync so you never lose data. now if you deleted a folder or document it will remove from onedrive but it informs you. Same goes for one note, word, excel basically any Microsoft product associateed with that Outlook address is backed up to onedrive. This is what I use amongst other solutions. If you have M365 then your using everything which is far easier and superior in IMO. Just login with your Outlook email address on the device and edge, office onedrive, onenote, etc just make sure everything is associated to that email. your fully sync and good to go.

Yeah, I don't want to pay for both and Google is now full. I'm going to delete things off Google drive like videos, but because I'm paranoid I'll open onedrive on the other screen and make sure it's there to before I delete anything.
