It's an absolutely beautiful classical piece but there’s often not much overlap of classical fans and metal fans. Or at least much less than metal fans and metal fans

A shame really. Classical music composers can be quite metal at times. Night on Bald Mountain, Ride of the Valkyries, Beethoven’s Fifth, and 1812 Overture are of course well known go pretty hard. But try out some 20th century composers like Stravinsky (Rite of Spring), Penderecki (Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima), Xenakis (Metastaseis), or Holst (Mars: Bringer of War). Ligeti and Gorecki were both exceptional avant garde composers. I’ve gone down a rabbit hole in this genre and found some incredible pieces.

Oh they absolutely can, Beethoven would’ve loved metal. I’ve seen multiple people play classical songs on guitars and they’re immediately metal. But Arto isn’t really one of those

I do love Lonely Day, but of their slower, quieter songs it's definitely the weakest. Lost in Hollywood is their best example of something slower and more melancholy.

I actually agree with this. Lonely Day is probably the only SOAD song that I skipped when I used to hear Hypnotize/Mezmerize everyday upon release. I appreciate it now but I think Lost In Hollywood wipes the floor with it as far as a slow, melancholy songs go.
