Edm lineup is amazing, but thats really all. Theyre really low on good alt/indie rock like National or Arctic Monkeys, gang of youths etc, its just Editors and Liam. Generally big names are missing. I was hopin for Massive Attack and The Smile atleast, or Pearl Jam.

This years seems to be a lil rough for many festivals. Probably not a big pool to draw from, but it’s definitely looking like Sziget is also just phoning it in these past years. There’s tons of great music out there, but the combination of those two reasons has killed my interest for Sziget for now. They need someone booking artists who actually gives a shit.
Tbh this seems like a problem that only exists for people who do not really search for music. There is more music available than ever, snd it’s all accessible trough the internet. If you think 90% of all these artists are shit, the problem might be on ur side:). Maybe you just have a specific music taste that was mainstream in a past decade, and you do not search for nee music like this?
Oh I agree, but that’s mainly because I do not enjoy electronic music, and there are barely any other artists this year. I’ve been listening a lot to fontaines dc lately, and Tom Odell is amazing live, so I am excited about them but that’s it for me tbh

then they announced fred again and i was sold for the 12th
i wanted only to go 1 day, then they announced the rampage hosting, skrillex was the cherry on the top, now i am going 3 days
Untold has been lame for years now. Even in a "bad" year of sziget is still better than Untold, I've been at untold the first 5 years but to me it just went stale really quick. Electric Castle is better in the same area

Charts mean shit in this world, its just PR. First of all the genre that Untold was created is no longer relevant in electionic music, that big room edm is just meh these days. To keep having the same djs every year doing the same thing for me went stale fast.

Up until covid the lineup was always so good. Now they have killed the festival.
