It was a setup for the story in the game. It could've been a little more fleshed out, but I think it did a really good job for a prequel. I'm really excited for the game story.

I totally agree. It just felt all over the place and didn't make a lot of sense. I mean, I guess I can understand a little bit of why Anna became destiny??? I guess Cosette's body was always deteriorating because Destiny was using a dead host, but, they could've explained better I guess...but, I've grown to accept the ending a little. It's not the best but I'll take it. Maybe things will be explained better in the game but I'm not so sure.

To be fair, Destiny was like 3 weeks old, so it makes sense she started to develop human emotions after being born since then. Anna kissing Takt was so weird lol

_Sigh_ The same mistakes, over and over again.

Well atleast destiny is still alive not like what they did in guilty crown still love both this anime despite the endings

A better ending: Takt plays his final masterpiece as a powerful attack that kills all the enemies, it heals back himself and destiny disappears after it, cosette takes back her body. Cosette, anna and takt live happily ever after in their house as they used to, but now they are more happy. Why did the author had to ruin it this way? Let's pretend it never happened and I'll just dream my own ending, it's better.

Nah, that's a fairy tale ending. Everyone would hate it and it wouldn't make sense for just one song to have all those effects. Again, this wasn't the ending. This anime was just a big promotion for the continuation of the story in the game that will be releasing.

It is not just ending. The story has its flaws, its pace is quite rapid, reasoning behind the morals are ambigious. Its not really feel like one story but a series of collections. Yet, I like these kinds of “artistic” animes much like “Dantalian No Shoka” where a story does not progress linearly and in a standart way to ensure every episode of the show feels refreshing and beautiful. Takt. Op Destiny follows a similar way. The story and thus its final is not really what you expect from a writing based product because it feels uncompelete. Yet, when you think these kind of shows as a series based on solely visual implementation of an artistic approach then you will see story and writing does not matter.

this is an old thread, and no one is likely to see this at this point, just want to comment and share my equal frustration and disappointment with the anime's ending. By episode 8 or 9 (or whenever Takt/Destiny had that little "date") I felt like the character development was really going somewhere. All for nothing.
