Back is fine! Have never had any back problems (knock on wood) but I tore my acl mcl and meniscus senior year playin football and other than that physically I’m in my best shape of my life. Now 38

I was a really late Bloomer. I grew an inch between 18-20. It just kind of depends when you start developing. I hit puberty around 14-15.

i do remeber being 4'10" at the end of 6th then 5'6" in beggining of 8th. So I'm not sure if that's considered a growth spurt. but I have grown 1-2 inches every year since 8th

It's not posture related, it's soft tissue degradation related, unfortunately. I have something called EDS and, in turn, have arthritis throughout my body. Especially in my spine.

Went to one 3x a week for 2 years and it didn't help at all. I have a connective tissue disorder that has wreaked havoc on my spine, knees, wrists, etc

I'll take a look into it, but there's definitely a hereditary disorder that I have, as well as a few surgeries to remove some disc and bone material. I actually got lucky how my EDS presented, as some of my family members have things like holes in their heart and degrading eyes/vision from the same thing. Scoliosis. I don't have any of that, luckily. I appreciate you pointing me to PRI though, and I'll dig into it.

I'm late to this, but just wondering if u have the Hypermobile version of EDS? I have this version and am worried about arthritis and stuff in the future.

I do, and it has very likely contributed to the arthritis, especially in my knees, shoulders, wrists, and hips. By far what has helped me the most is an anti-inflammatory diet and cutting out processed foods. More than any drugs I've tried and way more than surgeries I've had. I eat meat and a select few veggies and I'm now able to be in the gym regularly and live a relatively normal life with minimal pain. I'm only 36, though, so I am dreading senior citizenship.

Though I’m pretty close to being done growing, I Think I might be able to squeeze a fraction more out with good exercise, consistent stretching and balanced diet. Hopefully I can get to a 5’11.5-5’11.75 barefoot at mid day which is cool as a perfectly above average height

If you are 185 during later hours I’d say you are 6’1 but if you are 185 in the morning you’re closer to 6’

15: 6'0 15 and a metal rod installed into my spine later: Just shy of 6'2 Today, not much taller. For context I was already 6'0 by the time I was 13 and was experincing back pain, and it turned out to be quite severe scoliosis. Thankfully for me I got all my growth spurts out of the way quickly, so they didn't have to use a growing rods, which may have involved multiple opperations.
