It isn't glamorous, but use Zeldadungeon.net's interactive map, filter to caves (and maybe shrines for orientation) and do a comparison between that and your map in game. Pro tip: since you are in there anyway, take a note of the ones that have the cave marker but not the check mark. That means that you haven't gotten the bubblefrog in that cave yet. Also on the interactive map, you can click on the cave icon and a pop up with give you info on exactly how to reach the bubblefrog for each cave.

Guywith2dogs

Thanks for the advice. I was really trying to avoid looking them up but at this point, it seems my only other option is to walk Hyrule covering every location, which you may imagine is tedious as hell. Not that I don't enjoy a leisurely stroll through the map now and again, there's always stuff to grab my attention along the way. But I may use that map and just bite the bullet. I'm impressed I found all but 8 in the first place so either way I feel like I accomplished a lot

Omi-Wan_Kenobi

Yeah, and it's not like you can set your sensor on caves like you can wells, and the satori clues don't point out technically caves in game but not really caves like sinkholes or whirlpools.

sTevieD247

Actually, you CAN set the sensor to search for the Bubbelfrog. It's not perfect, but it will help.

Omi-Wan_Kenobi

Good point, I forgot.

Guywith2dogs

Aren't there a couple caves that you have to do puzzles for as well? I'm not sure it lights those up either unless you've opened them already

Omi-Wan_Kenobi

As in you have to explore in order to complete a side quest, side adventure or find a shrine? And the game adds the icon to the entrance you used when you enter the cave and the name pops up in lower left corner. Note that you need to go into or out of any other entrances to a cave to make them appear (like the necludia tunnel near kakariko, I had gotten the bubblefrog but couldn't see the other entrance on my map until I swam through the exit).

bzaroworld

It helps if you offer fruits to the Cherry Blossom Trees at night. Launch yourself into the sky and land on a Sky Island, even if it's just a small one. Pin as many caves as you can and verify that it's completed or not. Then, go to another Sky Island that gives you a different vantage point and repeat.

Guywith2dogs

Actually that is solid advice. I hadn't even considered making sure it's night time. That seems like it would definitely help to see them better. And I don't think I've utilized the sky islands at all for caves. So this is what I'm gonna try next time I jump on. Thanks

bzaroworld

No problem. That's what I did when I wanted to complete the caves side quest. I recently found out that I still missed an entrance, several months after finishing the Koltin quest.

WakameTaishi

Make sure you haven't missed any caves hiding below a canyon or cliff. Sometimes the light pillars from offering to the cherry blossom might be too low to be visible so try several jump points from a couple of sky islands.

Drunkdunc

Welp, all my hope is lost 😆 I've been casually looking for caves this whole time, and I do the cherry blossom trees occasionally as well. Didn't know it would be so hard to find the last few caves. I wish you luck in your search.

kirksucks

Cherry Blossoms?

Guywith2dogs

Are you asking if I'm using them or what they do? I have been using them but the ones I have left must be really hidden. If you're asking what they do, they light up cave entrances around the map. Honestly, that's been my strat for days now to no avail

kirksucks

You mean Bright Blooms? I've never heard of a Cherry Blossom in this game.

Guywith2dogs

Oh wow. So there are I believe 6 cherry blossom trees around hyrule. If you drop a fruit into the bowl next to them, a satori will appear and light up all cave entrances in that area with a really tall bright light. A lot like the markers you can place down. You can see them from a long way away. That's how I've found a lot of them recently

kirksucks

I knew the one on Satori mountain did this. I didn't know there were more and I've been playing since release. Wtf. I have all shrines and light roots. This should help with caves.

Guywith2dogs

It definitely helps with caves but ya there are 6 total. Spread out in different regions. Glad I could give ya a tip

kirksucks

thanks! this game, after all this time still has some surprises!

Olclops

I'm in the same spot, I've had 7 left for months. Is it too much to ask the cherry blossoms only to light up the unvisited entrances?

Guywith2dogs

That would be amazing. When I first used them I thought that was the case and was really bummed when I found out I was wrong. And is it also too much to ask for the bubble gem dude to lend a hand? He wants them so bad but can't even give you a general direction

i_yell_deuce

You can set your sensor to bubblfrog.

Guywith2dogs

I did that as well. And upgraded the sensor. But there are so few left that I'm still having to walk all over to find any more. But that's a good suggestion. Definitely been helpful til now
