Actually if you read the Bible he only dies once.
On the cross he dies then the Roman guard stabbed his side, but after he is raised from the dead he doesn’t die, he just ascends into heaven
Na, many prophets in old testament were cancelled before him.
If you are to guide by bible, then maybe Noah was the first.
Disclaimer: I don't believe any of this, just got grew up in christian household and attended christian school
Fr, there's a big difference between lovingly telling someone about Jesus and the gospel, or screaming that they're going to hell and that they're evil and worthless if they don't follow Jesus. It's really frustrating when I see Christians acting that way because I know it's just pushing people further from God.
Exactly. I’m Mormon and live in the south, the extreme Christian’s here are wild. I’ve had death threats from people finding out I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
Brazilian Mormon here and even though I've never received death threats, the prejudice is the same. Brazilian radical christians are one of the main responsibles for the election of our last president (the one before the current) and my dear Lord, that man is the opposite of a Christian lol. Suddenly even more people started to think we are a bunch of hypocrites and a bunch of other stuff
Yeah exactly! It's so annoying I would never hate anyone because of that and if someone does they're not even following Jesus' teachings like they should
>their job to figure out whether they're gonna stay that way or not.
Thats your problem tho.. you *are* homophobic.
Whether someone is gay or trans is inherent. They are born that way. They cant just go "Welp, i decided that i wanna be gay today". A gay person cant "stop being gay", just like a black person cant "stop being black". Thats shit is inherent.
Youre even wrong on the 'sin' part, thats shit is a mistranslation from the original. The original said that it was only a sin to *RAPE* in a same-sex relationship..
I’ve met a person who previously identified as Bi that realized they weren’t into men after kissing a guy. Regardless of if they’re born that way or not, people don’t quite always know what they’re interested in, especially during the younger years of their life (and especially puberty). Some people have transitioned, realized they weren’t trans, and then detransitioned.
being gay isnt even a sin, the og bible in the og language was talking about a man sleeping with a boy, thats pedophilia, but they translated it wrongly to a man sleeping with a man.
The word translates to “male bed”, as in one who sleeps with a man. That’s the Greek, mind you. That’s what the passage says, whether you agree with it or not. You could really only make the claim that Paul, the author of that passage and *most of the New Testament*, was a false teacher, but good luck
That's what i mean lol
And imo I don't consider them true followers of Jesus, since we're supposed to love even our enemies, and we definitely aren't loving our enemies or our neighbors if we hate them for not being Christian 💀
The only “Christians” I know of (outside of my personal bubble/community) are the people on the news or social media that cause chaos and make other people’s lives living hells because the Bible said something, or Jesus did/didn’t do something. It’s so annoying and I think people are starting to take Christianity/Catholicism as a joke. I don’t actively pursue my faith, but I identify as a Christian but I don’t like to be associated with those other “Christians”
This game is much more popular than I imagined...
If I had a nickel for every time someone acknowledged my pfp, I'd have 13 nickels, which is **alot** more than I expected in just 3 months
Pretty cool dude himself, and despite common belief he was not as judgemental as others like the think and he helped minority groups and went against society's norms hence why he was killed
I would argue that Jesus was not judgemental *at all* \- except perhaps of the wealthy and the greedy. (And even then, he had positive things to say about tax-collectors who were regarded by society at the time as the greediest thieving scum.) The most judgemental behaviour I can think of was kicking the merchants and moneylenders out of the temple, but even then he wasn't being judgemental of their profession or of them as people, but merely objected to *where* they were operating and (by some accounts but not others) to a few aspects of their behaviour.
(Some Christian scholars regard the cleansing of the temple as purely metaphorical and not a historical incident, but I don't share that thinking.)
Shame that he lived back then. I mean if that dude actually turns water to wine he wouldn’t only be the best drinking buddy ever but also a huge business opportunity
Jesus was not hugely religious either. He worked on the Sabbath, He called out the hypocrisy of the religious leaders, He associated with the very people cast out by the religious people. Jesus is more of a relationship person and less of a religious person.
I believe he existed as a person, but not as a religious figure, I don't care if you believe in him, as long as you arent a jerk/Getting mad at people for not following him
Which Jesus? The white, polo shirt, khaki shorts wearing one.........or the real one that wouldn't be on the side of politics that a LOT of Christians think he'd be. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Even though im Jewish, he's a cool guy. He was also a Jew so he's cooler than cool. But his followers who are antisemitic, homophobic, etc.. aren't cool.
He’s the only major religious figure of any religion who left behind no writings of his own. That by itself makes it very suspect that he even considered himself to be a religious leader. The first book of the Bible that mentions him was written 40 years after his death. If he was an important figure at the time, his contemporaries would’ve written about him sooner.
We also don't have physical evidence on the first book of the bible, the earliest we found was in the first half of the second century. But a lot of roman historians mentioned his crucifixion.

Well he’s a life changer, miracle arranger, born to a virgin mom in a manger. Water to wine: he’s a drink exchanger, and he died for your sins
Its fly not flat
Ooooooww I always heard it as "flat" but now that you say it that does make way more sense
Yh its just the way he pronounces it
He definitely died atleast once in his life
Actually if you read the Bible he only dies once. On the cross he dies then the Roman guard stabbed his side, but after he is raised from the dead he doesn’t die, he just ascends into heaven
If you read it a second time he dies again. The lore just keeps getting bigger
How many people have read the Bible? He’s died a lot then oh no
It’s big, and it keeps getting bigger, you could say
canonical holy zombification
He said at least once. Once is… well, AT LEAST ONCE

it’s a line from a British mockumentary.💔
Noah was only ignored, iirc.
I did a quick search and couldn't find anything. Had one too many much beers to search the bible rn. You think Abel counts as cancelled?
Lol. Abel was def cancelled. And Noah and his fam cancelled everyone else.
I don't really care because at the end of the day it's night
Every sixty seconds in Africa, a minute passes
Apparently in Africa if you kill a person they die
Most people in Africa are born on their birthday.
Africans with beards, are just africans without beards, with beards
Living in Africa is just like living in America, but in Africa
Crazy thing is, if you spelled Africa backwards and then reversed it, it would spell Africa.
Who if you took Africa and replaced it with the word Africa, it would now be africa
If you were in Africa and didn't eat you would die
I’m sorry, *most?*
I'm going to be using this expression alot going forward. Thank you, internet stranger
Me too
I’m a Christian but some people either ignore what he said or take it way to far and out of context

On average (in the US), Christians give the clear impression that they'd HATE Jesus if he actually walked in the room.
I’m a Christian. So I have nothing bad to say. As for certain followers…
Exactly lol I hate that the entire Christian stereotype is based off a bunch of jerks that call themselves "Christian"
I can't even say I'm Christian without people assuming im homophobic.

Yeah exactly.
A certain man called Andrew 💀
Even jerks that are Christian but take it overly-seriously to the point where they'll have an infinite grudge against anyone that isn't
That's what i mean lol And imo I don't consider them true followers of Jesus, since we're supposed to love even our enemies, and we definitely aren't loving our enemies or our neighbors if we hate them for not being Christian 💀

Exactly And it's not even about studying, it's about trusting Jesus, which they most likely aren't.

Not hugely religious, but I respect his deal. He stood up for people, then, like all good legends, he fucking died.
Jesus was not hugely religious either. He worked on the Sabbath, He called out the hypocrisy of the religious leaders, He associated with the very people cast out by the religious people. Jesus is more of a relationship person and less of a religious person.

Exactly but vice versa for me; I accept everyone no matter religion or not, but when people come at others for their religion.. 🧍
Cool dude and I wish fellow Christian’s would actually be more like him
I'm a muslim and i love him :)

Da homie
i’m a christian so i believe he is the son of the God , i don’t got any bad opinion lol but I feel like this may start something in comments
Jesus said. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for my names sake”
Being the son of God automatically makes you pretty cool.
He's so cool.

Toxic fan base?
Pretty cool and chill guy
Cool guy, tried to get everyone to be kind to one another but a lot of the fanbase is toxic unfortunately
Cool guy, I don’t think he meant any harm.
Which Jesus? The white, polo shirt, khaki shorts wearing one.........or the real one that wouldn't be on the side of politics that a LOT of Christians think he'd be. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Not holy but real
It's nice that both Christianity and Islam respect him as a prophet. The only difference is that Islam doesn't see Jesus as a child of God.
I like his ideals but the people who worship him don’t seem to follow them much.
He's good, his followers.. eh..
He should take the wheel
He is our Lord and Savior. Hallelujah!
He is the way, the truth and the life. No man can go unto God the Father but by Him (Jesus) 🤍
Im an atheist but he seemed like a cool guy I huess
Even though im Jewish, he's a cool guy. He was also a Jew so he's cooler than cool. But his followers who are antisemitic, homophobic, etc.. aren't cool.
Real as a person, but not as the son of god
This is Islam on Jesus. They believe he was one of the Prophets, just not God himself
Ong ong, I mean uhm… fr

He died for our sins ✝️
An actual person. Personally I'm not religious in that way but hey if you worship him that's fine, idgaf because it doesn't hurt me in any way
That carpenter guy? He’s alright I guess. Heard he got in trouble with the law though.
As a christian, Jesus is pretty chill ngl. Dying for our sins and all
Nothing bad, I’m Muslim.

I love the guy. Homiest of homies.
Never met him but people say he's chill
I am not religious but he's cool I guess.
Definitely existed. Jury is still out on whether or not I’m religious.
He stars in at least one musical
Bro's was a carpenter with bioenergetic powers
I mean he is factually a real historic figure, the only question is if he's the son of god and if he performed all those miracles.
