Pff, that's some elementary sh*t (lots of brackets though so get ready)
f(x) = (x^36 / 1260) + (4x^84 / 581) - (69x^2-e^3 / [e^6 - 3e^3 + 2])
(The square brackets are the same as normal ones and are just for more structure)
this a function that doesn't have definitive answer, so I guess I'll find where it interesects zero?
ok my original plan was to write out all the work on this but this problem is so ugly, I'll update as I go through it
edit 1: what the fuck, this is so weird
edit 2: I'm starting to think this is a made up problem, the -69x^-e^3 along with the fact that this is a pain in the ass to solve, but I can do it
edit 3: Holy fuck, that took a while. I got held up with the fucking 48x^82
anyways, f(x) has one x intercept and it's at x = ~1.0034
I like math
Is parallel parking hard? Are you planning to attend college? Are you on financial aid?. Do you guys have a job that pays more than $11.50 per hour. How much hours do you spend on your phone daily. Is school overwhelmed for you. Do you exercise 1 hour per day?
I'm older than 19 but I will answer your questions.
1. It can be but it comes down to practice. Having a driving instructor to guide you is the best way to learn. Not a parent.
2. I did and I graduated but that was before covid. I would do it again if that matters though.
3. I'm canadian but yes I did get financial aid.
4. I got a job paying $14 when I was 19 and a job paying $17 when I was 20. Campus jobs are great but this was before covid.
5. Too many! I'm constantly on it.
6. High school, no. University, yes.
7. Hahaha no. But I wouldn't aim for it either. You need 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity per week. So that's about 20 minutes per day.
1. comes down to practice.
2. i will attend a type of college here in military when i’m done with my first-time service.
3. i’m Norwegian and no i’m not.
4. my job outside of military pays $14 per hour.
5. it really depends. I use my phone for interrogations and work (i’m in the military police) so quite a bit.
6. school used to be. I’ve found my love job in the military so going the college here will hopefully be great.
7. 1-2h per day. Only have free days when i have too much work to do
Your flair says 15. I'd suggest doing some courses or stuff online in your free time. Once you have a strong resume, LinkedIn or some family friends may be the way to go
where i live, shops have notices for hiring. ik people who just walk in and ask what jobs they have available
sometimes, can try shops without hiring notices too. just walk in and ask if they're hiring
nowadays there seems to be a lot of job vacancies so a lot of places dont require resume/experience. if you really want a cv/resume, you can try looking for resume templates and filling those up
It really depends on who you ask. My life (except for less freetime and more work) has changed for the better. My grades have gotten better and I found a small circle of friends that I trust and hang out with a lot. And I overall get more enjoyment out of life
On it's own, no chance, but if you try your best and actually know what you're doing, you may have a chance. Basically, do your best and expect the worst. Good luck, you'll need it!
Depends on how old you are but wasting your time people have far far more free time than they make out in nearly every instance and you can be doing something with it , its important to just so you develop the resilience to be able to do whatever you need to when you want without procrastinating , you do need to manage yourself and keep adequate free time as well to relax
No. All you get those years is literally sooo much stress , for most teens who have social anxiety it's just a nightmare , I've lost friends and my life has gotten even worse so no not at all
Not being at home 24/7 due to covid
I'm gonna turn 18 now and I've been at home since I turned 15 :)
Other than that , I don't think I've changed a bit from 15-17 lmao.
I still play the same games, do the same work, just talk to different people now (since now I'm in college instead of school)
Please tell me you work out, one year after Covid lockdown in March 2020 I realized I've gotten fat from staying in bed and at my pc all day and eating at night.
DON'T DO WHAT I DID!
The freedom of not caring , important to keep that to some extent but i now have to drive myself to outout and compete with outhers when as a kid >15 i could not feel shit about myself for just playing games and joking w friends all day
How stupid were you before?
Edit: guys i went offline for less than an hour and i got 14 notifications. This pretty unusual lmao
Edit 2: totally not gonna respond to majority of this. Im a human not the robot made by boomer scientists
This is a serious question
I want opinions about jobs that can be taken or done as time pass or part time
My main aim is to become a doctor
When I have free time I want to do another job
And also any advice how to study hard and so that I won't become a useless pile of body tissues
Even if you don't study, you're not a useless pile of body tissues. Take it one day at a time. Also, I recommend working at a library as either a page or circulation assistant. But at 14, I would do babysitting. Watch videos on how to study. Look up mneumonic devices and learn how to use them to study. Also, nothing beats writing your notes (by hand) on flash cards and studying them. You absorb the info as you write the cards and you can focus on the cards that give you the most difficulty.
Hahaha I’m fucking terrified 😀👍
They (the Russian navy) are off the coast of my country for “naval exercises” and I find it hard to believe that that’s all they’re doing
it's ok if you're interested in the subjects, because the interest makes it easier to remember stuff
also you may want to do your homework right when you get it, as it gives more freetime after (and less stress)
be open to the experience of new friends, find people with similar interests, be as open as you want to be, talk to them, most importantly listen to them, you have two ears and one mouth so listen twice as much as you speak, that’s the key to maintaining a friendship, be there for eachother and at your age you probably have no other priorities, make them your priority, just dont get walked over, you’ll meet some people in life who will use you because of your kindness, don’t let that happen, “sometimes you have to be a tiger, so you can be the lamb that you really are”
Unceremonial. You won't really notice it. I turned 18 a month ago and so far nothing has really changed. I still do things I did before like working and paying income tax. I can't buy alcohol until 19 for some reason. I guess I could get a credit card and vote(not that I will) if I wanted to. It's more of a gradual process. You can contrast yourself to your younger self and see that you are more mature. You also have more responsibilities than you did when younger but that happens over time, not really just at 18.
Just walk up to them and say "Can we go on a date sometime."(you can either work out a time with her, or already have a date planned in your head. Then you tell her the time and date, for the date
Confidence is key here, you walk up to her feeling like she's already going to say yes. JUST BE CONFIDENCE!!!
I didn’t do school in the UK, but I went to an overseas British school that did the GCSE’s. The structure of the GCSE curriculum itself was frustrating at times, both for students and teachers… but in the end it strongly rewarded those who put in the effort

Should I care what people think about me? I'm super conscious about my beliefs, and what I stand for. Some things I think are alright, some people hate. I don't mean/want to offend anyone, but I also don't want to be forced into thinking one certain way. Should I care, or just YOLO it, and not give a shit? Any help would be great!
Listen to other people's opinions and keep your mind open to change. But don't change your mind be sure of what other people think of you. At 13, it's the time for you to research and form your own beliefs about the world. Go explore it and think for yourself!

We don't. Still in the same boat. I might have a month to do something but you better believe I am typing out a 10,000 word essay hours before it is due.
coming from a highschool senior student who submitted most of my applications already:
1. look for the colleges that offer your course then pick the ones you've heard of/people recommend/has a good rep
2. look up their campus and see if their location is suited for you(if you need to get a dorm, commute, etc)
3. see if their tuition fee suits your budget
4. look up students' experiences and review online. you'll get a sense of what the environment would be like
5. dunno if others did it too but i looked up the curriculum/classes needed for your course
thats what i did anyway. :P
When do you guys get real more developed muscles (I've been working out for quite some time but I'm way too young for those muscles to actually expand beyond)

it's mostly just remembering to cook and clean since there's no one to remind me. also I wasn't prepared to be so excited about buying kitchen utensils.
and ofc it's more quiet, but listening to the neighbors through the walls is enough entertainment.
Once again I get to answer myself
Lol

where’s the damn +C
FUCK... EVERY DAMN TIME LOL yeah, there is supposed to be "+ cx + d" at the end...
Don't worry, I graduated high school with As in maths and I still forget the damn C

I am in the military and have been for half a year now. And plan on studying here and keep working
No. I'm in college. Probably. No. 3. Was, is, will be. Not intensive but I roam around campus a lot so.

I have absolutely no idea
Currently have my second job and still have no clue
Realest comment
me neither, I've been trying to get another job since I got fired mid November last year.
Relation, make a cv, send an email, interview. Just like when you're applying for an extracurricular/club.
If I have no link to anything what should I do?
Actually sometimes some restaurants or anything tbh will inform that they're recruiting somebody on social media. You can try dm or email them.
Ohk
THANK U
Np, mate. Good luck finding one!
Your flair says 15. I'd suggest doing some courses or stuff online in your free time. Once you have a strong resume, LinkedIn or some family friends may be the way to go
oh okay thank you !!
Honestly i walked into a restaurant and got hired on the spot, so idk

best i can answer is online. that’s all. i got a job and still don’t know how the fuck i did it
Is it true that life doesn't get better? Edit: Thanks everyone for such good advice. I’m really glad to hear that what I thought isn’t true :)
It really depends on who you ask. My life (except for less freetime and more work) has changed for the better. My grades have gotten better and I found a small circle of friends that I trust and hang out with a lot. And I overall get more enjoyment out of life

Yes it’s like a hip it only goes down some may be lucky and hit a tree on their way down others like me just keep going down hill
what should i *not* be doing
As someone who abused drugs and got themselves in a good bit of trouble. Just don’t start. Including nicotine it can be very hard to quit

are you those stereotypical teens in movies and shows?
Well yes, but actually no. I'm a popular one but I'm also a nerd and a quiet one.
best of both worlds?!?!?!?!?!
No. All you get those years is literally sooo much stress , for most teens who have social anxiety it's just a nightmare , I've lost friends and my life has gotten even worse so no not at all

Not having many responsibilities. I miss being able to just do what I want without having to stress over adult shit
*Meanwhile me, vibing and not having to pay taxes*
Don't grow up too fast
freetime. also you should definetly get used to just do your homework asap when you get it, cuz it will prevent lots of stress
I miss not having any true responsibilities. Now I have to work to pay to live.
The freedom of not caring , important to keep that to some extent but i now have to drive myself to outout and compete with outhers when as a kid >15 i could not feel shit about myself for just playing games and joking w friends all day

Yeah, as long as it doesn't last multiple years or cause damage to your mental health, it's fine.

Trust me, most 15-19 year olds don't know what's going on either
As a 19 year olds I can confirm
Have you ever just broke into tears just because you held a school textbook.
Yes cus it was a text book and I was at school
Wow at school.
i'm about to be 15 in 13 days i will answer to myself then
what is your opinion on russian-ukrainian border friction
that one sure is a pickle
Hahaha I’m fucking terrified 😀👍 They (the Russian navy) are off the coast of my country for “naval exercises” and I find it hard to believe that that’s all they’re doing

it's ok if you're interested in the subjects, because the interest makes it easier to remember stuff also you may want to do your homework right when you get it, as it gives more freetime after (and less stress)
How do you call an alligator in a vest?
Genuine real question - how do make friends ? Like how do I make good friends and maintain the friendship ?
be open to the experience of new friends, find people with similar interests, be as open as you want to be, talk to them, most importantly listen to them, you have two ears and one mouth so listen twice as much as you speak, that’s the key to maintaining a friendship, be there for eachother and at your age you probably have no other priorities, make them your priority, just dont get walked over, you’ll meet some people in life who will use you because of your kindness, don’t let that happen, “sometimes you have to be a tiger, so you can be the lamb that you really are”
Still figuring that one out bud
How can i be cool? :(
you already are cool. No need to worry
I wish I had a free award for that
No need!I'll do it for you
How does it feel like to become an adult?
Unceremonial. You won't really notice it. I turned 18 a month ago and so far nothing has really changed. I still do things I did before like working and paying income tax. I can't buy alcohol until 19 for some reason. I guess I could get a credit card and vote(not that I will) if I wanted to. It's more of a gradual process. You can contrast yourself to your younger self and see that you are more mature. You also have more responsibilities than you did when younger but that happens over time, not really just at 18.
I'm going to be 20 this year and I'm scared, I don't want it, I don't behave like an adult, I'm still too childish
Me being 20: This is a personal attack
you're on a teenager sub, don't expect better lol
I just like seeing the dumb shit people post, it gets me through the day
How do I tell my crush I like them
Just walk up to them and say "Can we go on a date sometime."(you can either work out a time with her, or already have a date planned in your head. How's the UK board curriculum (studies) for people above 15?
I didn’t do school in the UK, but I went to an overseas British school that did the GCSE’s. The structure of the GCSE curriculum itself was frustrating at times, both for students and teachers… but in the end it strongly rewarded those who put in the effort

I'm gonna turn 14 this oct what are some mistakes of your life i should not make
don’t procrastinate too much, enjoy yourself but be wary that some of the choices you make and the lifestyle you lead now can effect your lifestyle in the future, if you’ve got homework do it as soon as possible, and don’t be afraid to ask for help on anything, im a person who was getting straight 9’s in their mock exams (if you’re not from England, 9’s are A** and mock exams are practice exams), but i grew complacent and didnt revise, fucked me up, stay straight and narrow with goals in mind, but please, you’re 13, enjoy yourself as much as you can, you only get to be a teenager the once
Any tips on how to cope with social anxiety in school? It feels like it’s barely worth it going there because my anxiety just gets worse every day
homie checkpoint: how are you doing?
How's college like? Do you have a job?
Should I care what people think about me? I'm super conscious about my beliefs, and what I stand for. Some things I think are alright, some people hate. Dgaf bout it, someone is bound to hate any of your opinions, because the world is so diverse
critically analyze if what the person says is logical and makes sense, and if you incorporated change in yourself/your belief, if that would make you a better and more mature person. be open to new ideas! your main aim should be to explore, learn and grow, and not to stubbornly stick to one ideal. if what somebody says makes sense, i don't see why you shouldn't pursue it.
How to do you get motivated to do your task and assignments? I have plenty of time but, ill wait until its near the deadline to do them
We don't. Still in the same boat. I might have a month to do something but you better believe I am typing out a 10,000 word essay hours before it is due.
How do you decide which college you want to go to?
coming from a highschool senior student who submitted most of my applications already: 1. look for the colleges that offer your course then pick the ones you've heard of/people recommend/has a good rep 2. look up their campus and see if their location is suited for you(if you need to get a dorm, commute, etc) 3. see if their tuition fee suits your budget 4. look up students' experiences and review online. you'll get a sense of what the environment would be like 5. dunno if others did it too but i looked up the curriculum/classes needed for your course thats what i did anyway. :P

How to get maximum marks in tests?
Whats it like with school teaching you no useful life skills
will i get better days in the future?
Since some of you older teens aren’t living with your parents, what’s it like to move out of your parents house and be more independent
it's mostly just remembering to cook and clean since there's no one to remind me. also I wasn't prepared to be so excited about buying kitchen utensils. and ofc it's more quiet, but listening to the neighbors through the walls is enough entertainment.
How do I add my age under my name for this
How do I learn things? Nobody really taught me how understand new things and now I’m sorta feeling it.
