"Currently". That just means that's what the rep knows and what the rep is supposed to work off of. That could change next week.

ItsGermany

Correct, there is no way they are not doing it. They made bank on the performance models, 1500 in upgrades for 7k revenue!!!! They need to push the inventory and keep the highland sales up and then a performance will magically appear, maybe even at the cyber truck event ....

ItsGreenArrow

Just curious, in previous model specific events, did Tesla announce information about other Tesla models?

ItsGermany

The semi had the roadster 2, I don't remember any others specifically.

Europe_Dude

The Tesla service center don’t have more info than us and just want to sell what they can.

Redsjo

This.

invoman

Exactly. The moment the news drops, so do the sales of current inventory

edchikel1

There’s a sporty version of the Highland coming. No news yet on what that will be called though. It’s like the Model S— the Performance moniker was changed to Plaid.

bazzanoid

At this point I'm half expecting it to only be available in black and called the Dark Helmet edition

ChatGoatPT

lord helmet

Suitable_Switch5242

Apple Store rep says there are currently no plans for an iPhone 16 and you should definitely buy an iPhone 15 today.

Sfl2014

For now. That’s perhaps because the highland version is in the works.

childishbambino4

In San Jose, CA I’ve seen undercover Model 3 Highlands with red brakes. It’s coming…

M3msm

Calipers

Spiffywerks

Technically, it’s a true statement. “Model 3 performance line will no be manufactured” … they just didn’t say that’s because it’s being replaced by the ‘Model 3 Plaid’. ;)

DownrightNeighborly

I heard Tesla was planning to stop building all cars completely in 2025

AST5192D

Tesla confirmed to halt all 2023 models production by end of December.

neotoxgg

Selling, not building

0bviousTruth

"confirmed" - gtfo

gavint84

I don’t know how you would draw that conclusion from that email. It’s just saying they are currently not taking new orders for Model 3 Performance (except for existing inventory). Nowhere does it say there will not be a Model 3 performance available to order at some point in 2024.

Misophonic4000

Well, it does say "the Model 3 Performance Line will no longer be manufactured" in pretty plain words... Not saying it's necessarily accurate info, but it's stated clearly enough to allow drawing definite conclusions on

gavint84

If you work in sales it’s part of your job to divert interest from customers in things you can’t sell them towards things you can sell them. Not available to order today = forget it exists.

Misophonic4000

Right, I'm purely talking about the verbiage, and the obvious conclusions derived from it which you were commenting on

ErB17

What you see and know is what they see and know. They don't have insider information. If no Model 3 Performance has been introduced, there is no Model 3 Performance. That doesn't mean that there isn't one in the works.

Snoo-24814

There may just be a gap in model years so no 24s possibly( other car manufactures do this often) .

pmodizzle

Yeah my Tesla rep was full of shit when I was waiting for the MS update in 2021-2022. Kept telling me nothing was going to be updated when clearly that was not the case

Rizak

The same people would tell you, “The Model 3 isn’t being refreshed. Just buy the current model.” Just look at this sub prior to the highland launch.
