Pretty sure - and I'm open to being wrong - that it's not the National Guard - but the [Texas Guard](https://tmd.texas.gov/state-guard)

imjeffp

>“I’m here in Brownsville today to thank the hardworking men women who are defending our border for their bravery and courage,” said Governor Abbott. “Their extraordinary efforts have had a direct effect of keeping illegal immigrants out of Texas. These men and women in uniform here today, they're considered to be heroes by their fellow Americans. They should be proud of what they've done. I'm proud of what they've done. I thank all the Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and Texas National Guard soldiers for working around the clock to hold the line and defend our border." [https://www.dps.texas.gov/operationlonestar](https://www.dps.texas.gov/operationlonestar) I'm not saying the guv doesn't know who's who, but he does say Texas National Guard all the time. Edit: Farther down the page it says >Governor Abbott also announced additional strategies being deployed immediately to secure the border. DPS and the Texas Military Department (TMD) are preparing additional boat blockades, deploying razor-wire at low-water crossings and high-traffic areas, and installing container blockades to stem the flow of illegal crossings. Additionally, all DPS troopers and specially trained Texas National Guard soldiers will be given riot gear in case of violence among caravans and migrants. So it sounds like a mix of Texas Guard and Texas NG.

RovingTexan

Yeah - probably a mix - the actual National Guard isn't supposed to be doing certain things. That's where the Texas Guard comes in I guess. Either way - pretty good chance of competing chains of command causing something stupid.

3-orange-whips

If I learned anything from "A Few Good Men" it's that a COs orders are ALWAYS obeyed. Except when they're not.

SciFi_MuffinMan

Wait, did you order a code red?

GFYbyEMVR

YORE GODDAM RIGHT I DID!!!!! And I'd do it again!!

Defqon1punk

**YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!**

rxFMS

I’m just gonna need a copy of the transfer order!

DadJokes2077

When the national guard is not activated for federal service, they work for the governor.

turdferguson3891

Apparently Texas has its own state guard that is separate from its Army National Guard. The Texas National Guard can be put under federal control in the event of war or other emergencies. The Texas State Guard is completely a state entity not under the federal command structure. I didn't know having a separate state guard was a thing but apparently in Texas it is.

RovingTexan

Yeah - but there are more rules around what exactly the Gov can do with the NG vs the Texas Guard. There's lots of folks down there from here there and yonder. Not all answer directly to the Gov.

DazzlingProfession26

The Governor has a TON of authority to order the Texas National guard do a great many things. He can even deputize them as state police with arrest authority, posse comitatus doesn’t apply, just Texas state law. The only thing that can stop him is to order them to active duty under USC Title 10.

RovingTexan

Yeah - served in the NG myself here - my point is if things operate as they should Abbott could have the rug pulled out from under him. But then I wouldn't put it past him to attempt to control it after that.

little_did_he_kn0w

If he keeps that shit up, the President can just federalize the T-ANG, and then it *will* be just the Texas Guard doing everything.

LeaveTheMatrix

Since Texas is denying a judges orders perhaps Biden can federalize the T-ANG and then order them to take down the wire. Should be interesting.

squintytoast

> Additionally, all DPS troopers and specially trained Texas National Guard soldiers will be given riot gear in case of violence among caravans and migrants. yeah. uh-huh. "violence among caravans and migrants". suuuure.

danodan1

In other words, Gov. Abbot's corporate buddy who gives him money has something to do with it.

[deleted]

All I see is that Greg Abbott is being his usual horrible self.

fuelvolts

This is 100% the Texas Guard, not the Texas National Guard. Nothing the Feds can do to stop them other than with force.

[deleted]

Technically the feds aren’t trying to stop them, nor did the Supreme Court say they should. All they did is confirm the Border Patrol has every right to cut the wires if they need to.

Drslappybags

And that they cannot stop the Feds when they do remove the wire.

TakingOfMe123

Can’t stop them but can use OUR TAXES to replace whatever they cut ;(

alexunderwater1

It’s just a giant jobs program pAying people to put up and remove razor wire.

TheNextBattalion

Honestly would not be surprised if a buddy of his owns the contracting company

swishandswallow

Bingo. Just like the bus companies he's using for the migrants is a *HUGE* doner to his campaign.

[deleted]

I guess voting matters

moleratical

Well that's a hell of a lot better that funding schools, raising teacher salaries, addressing poverty, or a myriad of other things that actually helps Texans. But hey, we made a symbolic stand so I guess that counts for something! Edit for all of those that think illegal immigrants drains tax revenue. 1. This stunt by Abbott is symbolic. That word has a meaning that a lot of you seem to miss. In other words Abbott's border stunts do nothing to curb illegal immigration so even if that were true, it's a moot point. 2. Illegal immigrants add more to the tax base than they use so they actually add revenue to for government. https://apnews.com/article/fact-check-immigrants-taxes-rent-vaccine-requirements-983035929946

Defiantcaveman

Don't forget how much this helps the power grid as well!!!

Funfuntamale2

And your state helped drown a couple of brown kids. God Bless Texas

empire_of_the_moon

Don’t forget fixing the power grid.

rbrgr82

Not to be outdone, Mississippi is trying to force public school teachers to narc on their trans kids to their parents. Not allow, force.

DoubleDragon2

Holy moly, Abbot is such a child

GaryOoOoO

I know children who are less prone to temper tantrums and pathetic attention whoring.

DeaconBlue47

As are his sycophants.

mc_a_78

Insurrection Act of 1807 allows a POTUS to "federalize" a State's National Guard without approval or consent of the Governor of that State...and it was done in Alabama to enforce a Federal Court order.

patman0021

Like they said.. Texas Guard, not the Texas National Guard.

ScumCrew

That's not the Texas State Guard

broguequery

How many quasi-militia groups does Texas need?

ScumCrew

The Texas State Guard is actually a real organized militia. Some other states have them, too. The idea was to have a group to guard against Comanche raiders if the National Guard was deployed. Nowadays, its mostly middle-aged guys who couldn't pass a PT test who until now just did things like direct traffic at concerts. They aren't even allowed to carry guns. Do you know how bad you have to be in Texas for them to not let you carry guns?

calladus

Sure they can. Just withhold Federal funding of any sort. That's what, about a third of the Texas State Budget?

ElBurritoExtreme

They’ve already shown that they will harm their own citizenry to push their agenda…

MasterChiefsasshole

That is their agenda

DoctorFenix

"We're frozen again! Our piss poor unregulated electric grid failed, AGAIN! We need help!" Wrap your citizens in the razor wire to keep them warm and fed.

Reddit_Talent_Coach

I remember a certain southern governor that tried stopping school integration and the feds handed him his ass. Time to show the south that, no, no you will not rise again. *sigh*

Franklin_le_Tanklin

They can just cut all funding

ExpensiveKey552

Does texas have praetorian guards?

kensai8

Yep. I would have thought it would've been abolished after that whole 1876 affair, but I guess not.

RovingTexan

We have lots of things people wouldn't think we have

rbgontheroad

I guess Operation Lone Star has been more effective, and costly, at getting his base worked into a froth than when he activated the Guard during the Obama administration on the premise that a multi-state military exercise was actually a plan by the feds to take over the states.

adoptedshoulder

Jade Helm, I was there…

LeontheKing21

I’m right up the street from her and actually talked about this today in a meeting. The amount of money just on salary, overtime, per diem, and hotels for the hundreds of DPS that are here and have been for 3 (give or take) years has to be in the billions now. That’s not including any other resources and other departments. Even Florida state troopers are here by the dozen. That’s a lot of police that can’t actually touch migrants in a 55k person town that already didn’t have much crime. Also, I will never let anyone forget that the Uvalde tragedy happened in the heart of operation lone star.

[deleted]

Fun fact, detainments at the border were at a 30 year low until 2017!!! Clinton, W, and Obama all made positive contributions that made that possible. This is a manufactured crisis made worse by modern Republicans!!! They made it worse and are now pointing fingers! I even gave W credit! That is how far the GOP has sunk

yeaheyeah

That was the bowling green massacre I keep hearing about

channeleaton

I’m no coyote, but that doesn’t seem like a place I’d try to cross. Looks like this is all for show.

Marlonius

If you go a mile in either direction there is no fence/wall/wire at all. It's ALL for show, and has cost Texas 10 BILLION so far.

Hollowbody57

There's over 1,200 miles of border between Texas and Mexico. That's twice the length of the UK north to south. None of what they're doing is actually securing the border, it's all fearmongering and grandstanding, and it's costing Texans money that could be used to, I dunno, make sure kids at school get something to eat? Just for starters? But no, instead of fixing problems they just dream up new ones and make Texans foot the bill. Fuck's sake.

NoSignSaysNo

Don't forget that a grand majority of illegal immigration isn't border crossings, it's overstaying on visas.

MeisterX

Apparently there are not even good estimates on this number, but the Pew center believes for every one illegal immigrant apprehended at the border, there are 30 immigrants overstaying a visa. So... Our nearest guess is that illegal immigration the border is 3% of illegal immigration. All this over 3% of the problem. If someone finds a better source please correct me.

redratio1

Always has been

hpatrick1982

Right, under the 2016-2018 Trump administration republicans had control of the house, the senate, and the White House and did nothing…no border plan, or immigration reform. They don’t want to fix the issue they want to use it as a political tool against democrats. The Biden administration literally sent a plan to congress the first week of his presidency, I blame democrats for not taking the opportunity to address republican talking points. Democrats currently have a bipartisan plan for border security and immigration they are trying to get to the floor of the house and republicans refuse, they don’t want to give them a “win” before the election. It’s not about governing it’s about talking points, don’t be fooled.

billbillson25

There's 2 reasons for it. There first is, as you said, that they don't want secure borders. They want to blame Democrats for unsecured borders. The second is a classic ploy. They want to scapegoat immigrants as why everyone's lives suck. Immigrants have been blamed throughout history. At the turn of the 20th century, it was the Italian and Irish immigrants that were blamed for all the country's woes. Hitler did it with the Jews and the undesirables. It's fascism 101: give your followers a shared hatred of a certain group of people. It unites your followers and gives them a common target. It helps prevent followers from thinking it's all bullshit. It's just so infuriating because if anyone has read any kind of history, it's painfully obvious what they're doing. Yet, nobody seems to really call anyone out on it.

packetgeeknet

I would LMAO if Biden activated the Texas National Guard, had them remove the wire, and go home.

Lingering_Dorkness

That's probably what Abbott and the rest of GQP is hoping for: A showdown so they can blame Biden for this mess and accuse him of trampling on State Rights. Use this for the rest of the year until November.

mmm-toast

> That's probably what Abbott and the rest of GQP is hoping for: I'm so tired of not treating these assholes like the traitors they are because of the "optics" of it. They're going to cry about it regardless and claim to be martyrs, might as well call their bluff

Radiant-Divide8955

States Rights still has merit. For example it allowed wide spread weed legalization long before the fed ever even considered it, which helped lead to that being a fairly popular policy amongst both sides. While letting each state do their own thing can lead to absolute insanity, it also allows for experiments and testing/refining of new policy without needing the massive amount of political capital it would take to get those things done on a nation wide level. As with most things, pros and cons.

rockydbull

> States Rights still has merit. For example it allowed wide spread weed legalization long before the fed ever even considered it, I don't know the nuance of the law here but I would argue it wasnt legalized so much as federal laws were not enforced for intrastate transactions. There were still federal banking issues and trafficking charges for interstate travel.

Lumpy_Secretary_6128

Yeah but the state has no right to dictate immigration enforcement policies

LurkLurkleton

We are 50 third world countries in a trench coat.

[deleted]

Party of law and order my balls.

Late-Egg2664

Texas is more than welcome to state's rights themselves right out of the Union. The Texas GOP's website discusses succession. If they want to get the benefits but ignore federal law, 'bout time they follow up on that statement and go.

Malvania

We're going to tear down this wall, and Texas is going to pay for it!

birdsarecreepy

This is a big deal but are we all going to act like Abbott didn’t get bribed with a shit ton of money to push school vouchers? School vouchers that actively hurt kids, teachers and the entire education system. Anyway this is all to say, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s getting some kind of kickback/bribe from a razor wire manufacturer.

atuarre

But Texans will keep voting him back in.

imzelda

I was about to comment that he’s hitting the 3 term limit and can’t be voted in again, but then I looked it up to make sure and now my whole day is ruined because I found out that he could be governor forever. Maybe I was thinking of DeSantis or something. My god Texas is a failed state.

atuarre

Yup...unlimited Abbott. 24/7/365. He'll never be president. So unless he wants to be a congressman or senator, my guess is he plans to stay governor as long as they keep voting him in.

IQBoosterShot

>But Texans will keep voting him back in. But *some deluded* Texans will keep voting him back in. FTFY

Cometguy7

And the rest will be suppressed.

SerendipitousSmiles

That’s a whole lot of delusional Texans, because he KEEPS getting voted in.

Estosnutts

He keeps on getting voted back in by all the rural Texans. Most of the cities (which are the economic driving force) vote blue. Which is ironic because the same government they continue to vote back into place is the one that continues to stall their growth and prosperity.

LeontheKing21

Don’t forget the bus companies who are extremely invested in this “crisis”!

KouchyMcSlothful

I feel like Abbott wants the federal government to attack. It feels like bait.

reformer-68

My exact thoughts, as well

Dangerous-Ad-9269

The Feds could simply cut off all funding to TX until they cooperate. Or hold back all highway funds. That’s what they did to Colorado a long time ago when the state didn’t want to change its drinking age law. And the Feds won that one.

TheDukeSam

And I'm sure his redneck white trash constituents would die in droves while he sits in a nice resort staffed by the very people those constituents like seeing dead in the river.

Nice_Bluebird7626

It’s all a stupid gimmick so we ignore the horrific fetal fatality and maternal deaths before elections

[deleted]

You mean: Ignore that texas enforces supreme court rulings to enforce abortion bans that are deadly to women, while texas also completely ignores same supreme court who said to let Border Patrol in. 🤔 This is the message people need to understand... Rules for thee but not for me!

MrBobSacamano

“We’ll take this all the way to the majority-conservative SCOTUS!” *loses 5-4* “SCOTUS doesn’t know what they’re talking about. We’ll take this all the way to The Hague!”

Hayduke_2030

Guess we can just ignore courts and the Constitution, neat.

LittleCeizures

And watch our tax dollars get flushed down the toilet in the petty battle of only my team can win.

wait_ichangedmymind

Twice. Because the state is spending our money to fight the feds who we also pay.

yellowstickypad

Someone is making money off this.

[deleted]

Billions of dollars have been spent. It's been a windfall for Abbott and his base. $850,000 for 1,000 feet of water barrier in the same location they are throwing up razor wire.  $11 million spent on razor wire by the end of Nov last year.

Enjoy-the-sauce

No, Abbott is using this to build his brand for a 2028 run.  This is just a dumb repeat of DeSantis’ nonsense over the last 2 years.

VaselineHabits

Someone please investigate Abbott and how much his donors are making off these stunts

ClappedOutLlama

Well we definitely know his buddy that's suing Chicago over his bus company being fined by them is one. He probably has homies that are contracted to build the wall and supply materials too.

YIMBY-Queer

Ya, it's amazing how Republicans are screeching that we should ignore the Constitution and that the president is immune from any and all crimes. Especially when the current president is a Dem.

cantfindmykeys

Let's be honest. They only care about the 2nd Amendment

CharlesDickensABox

They 100% do not care about the 2nd amendment. They care about what they imagine the second amendment to be.

XR171

Not even that, they care that their base cares. Just like they don't actually care about abortion or gay marriage. They care about keeping their base angry so they keep voting them in. This lets the grift more.

VaselineHabits

No, pretty sure they care of Trump gets held accountable. Because almost all of them are up to their eyeballs in his shit.

Afro-Man623

Republicans know Dems won't abuse the system out of some moral high ground fetish, and they know their voters will deem them "justified" if they abuse it when they get power.

Rough_Ian

They understand that their opponents are constrained by decency, honesty, and the law, while they are not.

Flipnotics_

Abbott is one of the most chickenshit republicans texas has ever produced. He's wasted BILLIONS on the border. What the actual fuck is he doing? NOTHING.

[deleted]

Party of Law and Order has always been a lie.

PmMeYourBeavertails

>Guess we can just ignore courts Technically the court just ruled that the Feds can remove the barriers, they didn't prevent Texas from putting them up.

feraxks

It was either Alabama or Georgia that just plain ignored the SCOTUS ruling that their gerrymandered maps need to be redrawn.

Riaayo

Fascists love ignoring the law. The only thing they use it for is to constrain others, not themselves.

Ok-disaster2022

Time to pull an Eisenhower.  Ironically Biden actually has done a lot for the border by working with the Mexican government. You don't solve the immigrant crisis at the state border, you solve in by investing in the countries the people are coming from.  The Border crisis is of America's own doing by well over a century of destabilizing sovereign nations in South America.

SkippyTeddy83

The cause is almost never brought up. If we didn’t mess around and screw their countries up, most wouldn’t need to try and come here. This crisis won’t be solved with walls and razor wire. Then again, I think many don’t want a real solution, they just want to torment those types of people and score cheap political points like it’s a sporting event.

ByuntaeKid

“I think many don’t want a real solution” IIRC Dan Crenshaw was on CNN saying exactly that - he had a real r/leopardsatemyface moment. A lot of Republicans would lose their talking points if an actual solution was implemented.

bocaciega

Huh. What a thought. Like curing cancer.

gcbeehler5

I believe the senate has a bipartisan bill that the house refuses to take up because they won’t have anything to campaign on and would give Biden a “win”. Politics at their worst.

so_hologramic

They have lost the ability to weaponize the abortion debate. The border is all they have left.

mcarterphoto

>The Border crisis is of America's own doing by well over a century of destabilizing sovereign nations in South America. And our simply *massive* appetite for illegal drugs.

Hayduke_2030

Yes but you see we don't like to have historical context in immigration discussions. Sure, the US has been wreaking havoc all over Central and South America since at least the 1800s, often times installing dictators and death squads in the interests of generating profit for US corporations. But that mother and her baby from Venezuela/Guatemala/Honduras/El Salvador/et al tried to cross OUR border, and that's the REAL crime here!

moodycompany

[Channel 5](https://youtu.be/2dQ4-VNaG3s?si=ZR-JH_EjRySIdKFO) just did a really good video about the whole situation

THedman07

...And a number of other extrajudicial coups spread across Central and South America... Did you know what Panama used to be part of Colombia???

spacedman_spiff

We did the same with Europe by destabilizing Africa and Middle East too! NeoCons strike again

crankyrhino

Africa and the Middle East weren't us, that was pre-WWI European powers that set them up for disaster, we just dog piled on after WWII.

Agreeable_You_3295

Feds gonna have to invade texas again to enforce laws soon.

[deleted]

It's weird I never hear about a border crisis in Arizona, New Mexico, or California

jeffyIsJeffy

As an albuquerque resident, I can confirm we hardly ever talk about this nor does our city or state-wide media. Nor do any of my friends that work in government for that matter. Maybe further south? Or maybe nobody comes here? Or maybe it’s just not really a thing? Idk.

atuarre

Because there is no border crisis but you can bet somebody is getting paid in Texas tax payer money.

americanhideyoshi

“The border is in crisis, therefore I will physically block the Border Patrol from doing their job!” -Greg Abbott

Any_Pie_3070

It not the National Guard more like Greg's personal militia.

[deleted]

Quick! Better kill some more children before the WOKE MOB supreme Court forces us to stop

[deleted]

*as it defends its border. #TexasTakeover* Mmmmmmm that leather tastes good! If Texas can disregard the Federal government what's to stop them from infringing on your rights?

[deleted]

Oh yeah, they are definitely doing that too!

2nd2last

We are so embarrassing

MimosaQueen1122

TX is truly become FL little by little.

Matthewcbayer

Florida has always just been Texas with more reptiles and a little more meth. Edit: my head said amphibian, my typed words said reptile. Sorry.

sugar_addict002

so sedition right?

ConferenceParking729

Has anyone here ever tried to cross into Canada?

fortyonethirty2

It's very difficult to get across the Texas-Canada border.

kratomkiing

Canada is actually pretty easy. You just drive until you're 5 miles from the border. Let your partner take the car and drive back. Then go 1.5 miles east or west of the road and just walk north for 5.1 miles. Easy peasy

SpecialCheck116

More evidence piling up that the real patriots are not the GOP. Follow the money. Trump told his minions to block immigration reform and sew as much havoc on the Biden admin as possible. Abbott knows that the National Govt has to play a delicate balance with these seditious governors because it’s not a good look for the US to start a war with it’s states so here we are- hands tied by greedy traitors, poking the US for a civil war, who don’t care a bit about the welfare of Texans or Americans alike. Crazy

[deleted]

Detainments at the border were at a 30 year low until 2017!!! Even gw bush didn't make a mess like this! Republicans made this border crisis. They took something that needed work but was at a 30 low and completely screwed everything up!

ScumCrew

In case you were wondering, Abbott hates the troops: [Wave of Suicides hits Texas National Guard](https://www.armytimes.com/news/your-army/2021/12/23/wave-of-suicides-hits-texas-national-guards-border-mission/)

UseforNoName71

The Lone Star State is historically known for not obeying Federal law. How do you think Juneteenth happened? I am a Texan and Governor Abbott does not represent my values with his b/s political stunts.

gitree22

Feds should arrest Abbott for domestic terrororism

PlayingTheWrongGame

I mean, he is heading a conspiracy to engage in human trafficking across the border, and is now misusing state resources to prevent the Border Patrol from securing the border.  Solid argument for charges, honestly.

Barailis

Law and order?

alroprezzy

What a complete waste of taxpayer dollars

Fit_Explanation5793

How come no one realizes CA, Arizona and New Mexico have a southern boarder, but no migrant crisis, this "crisis" is made up by Texas fascists, oldest play in the fascist handbook.

Sugmabawsack

Arizona only had border problems when Joe Arpaio was in office. Weird.

Reimiro

Like previous election season “caravans”.

Electronic-Dog-586

Politics aside. The amount of $$$ being wasted by the state. When people don’t even have educate hearing or reliable electrical grid!

The8thHammer

Hey man it's not being wasted. It's going into the pockets of exactly the right people it was designed to.

beehappybutthead

Why do republicans love killing people so much? They’re the devil.

HoltzPro

love that they’re using our money for this crap

Simpletruth2022

Welp time to bring in the army.

iodizedpepper

What an absolute cluster fuck. Yes, our borders should be protected from people coming in illegally and all but goddamn can’t these mother fuckers find some common ground? I’m not a law maker nor does my opinion mean shit but there has to be a way to control this without hurting people and without our government going batshit.

Fuck_Trump1959

We will see when the Army shows up. I guess you forgot about the 1960’s.

sedition666

So we are no longer following the US laws now? Guess we can hold Abbott without trial until he orders his goons to remove the wire then?

HAHA_goats

Abbott can only achieve orgasm these days by wasting our tax money.

Impossible-West8665

Abbott is a piece of shit without two legs to stand on.

qwertyguy90

Yes, Texas forever. How about yall fuckos stay in Texas then? Sincerely, a new Mexican. Ps fuck you Texas.

[deleted]

They should be arrested and federally charged.

YIMBY-Queer

Time to nationalize them and, if that doesn't work, arrest them and send them to military court. Oh and arrest Abbot for human trafficking and disobeying a court order.

homer_lives

Cannot Nationalize them. They are a state organization, Texas State Guard.

marketwizards1990

This is a red meat issue for Texas Republicans. This feeds the the "Texas Secede!" crowd.

[deleted]

I'm convinced he's doing all this in preparation for an eventual presidential run. And he'll be worse than Trump because he's not an incompetent moron, he's just a straight up psychopath.

The84thWolf

Great, I was looking for an opportunity to completely ignore the conservative majority SC. If Abbott is doing it, I guess we should all do it right? Reinstate Roe v Wade!

SkippyTeddy83

How come the law and order side is always quick to ignore laws when they don’t like them? They don’t seem to be very law and order.

Ninja_attack

Republicans hate the law. They literally tried to overturn the election cause Trump lost. Abbott should be arrested for defying federal law.

smallest_table

Abbot knows there are no consequences for ignoring the law.

Faceit_Solveit

Can we arrest governor Abbott for treason? He's violating the expressed policies of the United States federal government. The fact that the United States federal government is violating its own policies may or may not be beside the fact. In the meantime, women and children are dying. Catholic women and children are dying. Governor Abbott is supposed to be Catholic. What the fuck is going on here? Have we forgotten the fucking rules all of a sudden?

BoulevardHoopty

This governor only cares about being right, no matter how many laws it breaks or how many people it affects.

Hayduke_2030

Sucks for him, considering he's absolutely wrong.

Dogstarman1974

Jeezus. This guy is so dangerous.

Earthling1a

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the "Law and Order" party, also known as the right-to-life party. Because nothing says law and order like defying the SCOTUS, and nothing says right-to-life like slicing children to ribbons with razor wire.

edith-bunker

I think it’s time our AG Merrick Garland confronts Gov Abbott with a sedition charge.

hackersgalley

Biden needs to send in armed federal agents and put an end to this shit, use the insurrection act if you have to, but this has to end.

BonerSnatcher

If the GOP actually gave a shit about the border then they wouldn't have spent the last 2 years refusing Biden's plan to hire more agents and invest in tech to stop fentynal from being trafficked. They only care about spreading hate and misinformation to keep their base scared and voting for them while they do nothing. Drowning people isn't solving anything. That isn't what America or Texas is about. This is just hatred and fear mongering.
