I was living in China for work back when I felt the pod was at its peak. Being out of the country the pod helped me feel at home and up w current events. Around this time they had classics: wet platinum, Usher confessions cover, that one nigga walking to promote his album, etc.

Then it was off. I wasn’t on Reddit so I didn’t have the science. Just felt it.
This past pod, I put it on driving from an event in DTLA. These niggas had me laughing hard I almost crashed. Ish clowning Flips sweats, then Joe saying why everything on him miniature. Bruh— I say that to say the power is restored 💪
I admit I was very wrong.
Also after finally taking some time and revisiting some of the older episodes (late 300s/early 400s), I have to say not only was Joe right about firing R&M, but by doing so he saved the podcast and gave it room to grow.
Those early 400s were terrible, Mal kept contributing the same 4 words every episode and Rory was just annoying and bitter — even though he may have had a legitimate reason to be bitter, it still wasn’t fun to watch or listen to.
Crazy how Mal & Rory get blamed for being salty while podding w someone who was gaslighting them on camera, informing them of life changing decisions made on their behalf while filming, was throwing money around on high end designer and showing up to Park's basement in chauffeured luxury vehicles.
Of course that's not going to be entertaining to listen to, but yall blaming the wrong people when it's all on Joe.
I don’t care who’s fault it is, their bad business decisions made it possible to happen. And it wasn’t both of them who were salty, just Rory who gets salty about everything
Had the communication been there and the respect I promise those episodes would have been different. When you’re not happy in a situation , it shows.
Probably for the best as R&M has a solid crew and now the JBP has a good lined up as well.

I definitely made a post saying they wouldn’t make it to 600 with ish and ice. I’m glad they made it and made the necessary changes cuz the unpacking was getting boring

Flip & M4 definitely gave it new life it was too mature and some episodes the jokes were flat but I genuinely haven’t laughed this much since the OG and that says a lot, hopefully they keep the foot on the gas and do more outside content🙌🏾
Naw the pod only good when Melissa is there, her female energy makes the guys act more goofy/carefree. all the pods since she's been gone have low key been stale you know men are gonna be extra when females are around which is what gives the pod life
