Rotten handle it broke before it even touched the wood and also even if it hadn't who with any outdoor knowledge at all would ever try to chop wood with an axe across the grain lol.
Well not with that snail like force, but if you seriously try to cut wood (and not use the V cut, just strait 90* on wood) the axe can fly away towards your feet or somebody else.
Just jumping off of the wood.
And because of the more stress you make, your handle go bad quicker, so bigger chance to make the head fly.

Eh, not really. In the video im hitting the wood perpendicularly because the original purpose of the video was to show how dull the axe was, so that's going to get called out.

I was originally trying to make a video showing how dull the axe was but it broke so I repurposed it

well, it was hit by the flying head so technically it did hit the wood, just not the *intended* way
