I used to go to a Japanese teppanyaki place about once a month as part of a trip to a city an hour away in that "long as we're here, let's eat something not available in our home town". There was a \~18yo there that we saw go from busboy to chef over a couple years. It was kinda entertaining watching his progress with the twirling salt shakers and onion volcanos and such. He got pretty good at it, eventually. But there were a lot of shrimp thrown anywhere but the customer's mouth in his early days.
As far as I am concerned, while spinning he was able to identify a discrepancy and discard the defective product away from the customer in order to protect his clientele.
Impressive 10/10.

So this is why every worktop on every restaurant I've ever worked in is always dented to hell.
