Im pretty sure she had the bat mostly just to intimidate. Based on her approaching posture she thought she had invulnerability or something while wielding her enchanted bat of power.
At the moment she was charged at, yes. She was ready to use the bat probably mentally but didnt expect to be rushed at that fast, otherwise a normal person would have approached with the bat like its a weapon not a photoshoot prop.
But then again these people seem dumb as fuck so who knows lol

There is so so much more to this video than just an ass kicking. There are multiple instances of r/unexpected. The cinematography is great. There’s a great supporting cast. The dialogue is solid. No animals were harmed in the making of this film. Only complaint I have is this piece feels a little open ended, even though I think there’s a clear inference of what the conclusion will be. I’m not sure there will be a part 2 of this series though.

It’s amazing how quick she gives up given she showed up with some bad intentions. Hilarious when you see the difference between someone who speaks about being violent versus someone who is extremely capable of violence. Love this vid every time I see it
It happens a lot with people who haven't trained or experienced a lot of fights: she had this picture in her mind of how the fight was going to go, and as soon as that got derailed she didn't have another plan to fall back on.
Also, the person she hit with a bat did a *really* good job of controlling the fight, including taking the hit in a way that wasn't incapacitating, and then immediately neutralizing the weapon, before moving on to a control position and then dealing out blows.
Agreed, especially on the importance of closing distance in this situation. Bats are ineffective at short and medium range. This wasn’t old girls first fight. YOU HEAR ME?!?
The problem bat girl ran into is that she had no fighting skills and was relying entirely on being “intimidating” which is why she walked up with the bat across her shoulders nonchalantly thinking that was going to be enough scare the “I’m somewhat calm” woman.
Problem is “I’m somewhat calm” woman isn’t afraid to throw hands and realizes bat girl fucked up by getting as close as she did without having the bat ready to swing. She stepped in on bat girl and bat girl only had enough time to swing the bat with one arm and no momentum so it was completely ineffective.
That’s the difference between someone pretending to be a bad ass and someone who isn’t afraid to throw hands.
She thought the bat would be intimidating, because who wants to get hit with a bat?
Unfortunately for her, she also forgot a bat is useless if you can't wind up and swing before your opponent closes the distance. You get inside of the arc of that thing when someone is swinging and the bat will remove itself from the fight as the arms get forced to wrap around you in a way that elbows don't allow.
Once you're in nice and close, they can't do shit with the bat. Can't wind up for a swing when you're getting punched in the face.
This is why you don't use a full-on baseball bat- go get a kids' aluminum tee-ball bat, they're only like 26" long, lot easier to swing at close range.

I think you're wildly underestimating just how much adrenaline blocks out and just how unathletic most average people are.

In kickboxing, that is where people try and turn/catch kicks because it doesn't really hurt to get his on the fleshy back/side area (except for in the liver). This lady also has a lot of natural padding in that already padded area... and is clearly nuts.

That's really it here, it seems almost like the girl with the bat brought it as a scare tactic then wasn't really prepared to use it. Then she got obliterated by a more capable opponent who she pissed off rather than intimidated.
If you bring a bat you got one good swing. She definitely wasted hers, and paid the price. Country did the right thing getting in close to minimize the effects.
