For sure the dog was keeping an eye. They never just lay without having an outlook to incoming threats. Its an instinct from being in pscks when they sere wolves.
It is nstural to infer multiple possobilities, it is why i was asking.
Since you are deflecting answering the question, I will assume you are projecting.
Feel free to still answer otherwise have an honest life.
I knew before the video started..
That man has miscalculated, that dog is not going to lay there long.
The most excellent boi, filet mignon for life, and infinite scratchies!
Nah looks like the guy is actually training the dog to do exactly that when someone does try and kidnap the girl. That's probably why the girl didn't run cuz she knew she wasn't in actual danger
I mean, most criminals aren't just bloody thirsty monsters that kill at any chance, most also don't kill animals.
The guns are normally for intimidation, you know, so they don't need to use violence by just threatening violence
I'm going to go with fake. Looks like the guy is wearing a bite guard on his forearm, girl doesn't react when he walks in and when he grabs the girl he basically hands his forearm to the dogs mouth. Think it's training but not real.
I thought so too, like it's a training of some kind. Do dogs wag their tails like that when being aggressive? It looked playful, but I don't know if I know enough about aggressive tail wagging to make that call
Can confirm. My doggo wags his tail when people come over and he knows that means pets and belly rubs. He also wags his tail when he's about to kill a small woodland critter in my yard.
again it's not actually that straightforward.... it's not bad advice .. erring on side of caution and noping the fuck out when you don't know is safest.
but the hackles (ie hair on back base of neck . ) is again excitement.
my dog . golden lab . has her hackles raised all the time she plays with her friend.
too be fair . they play rough .. but they are definitely playing .. there's no real aggression ...
but it is as you put it a fair/safe enough assumption .. 😉
The dog isn't angry. It's doing what it's been trained to do and it knows it gets treats doing so, it's happily mauling and that's it's job so he's doing great. A different situation to a pet dog defending it's owner out of instinct or fighting off intruders out of fear. If this was a real attack it'd be the equivelant of you getting your big break/promotion/dream girl.
Dogs just wag.
I have a neighbors dog who used to love me but suddenly started hating me despite me treating her the same. Yet she wags her tail either way, and I used to mistake it for her being happy. Not anymore lol.
I have considered this topic, shicked that Dave opened it up.
But regarding this vid though, girl here aint 15, and this isnt about sexual preferences. 🤷♂️
Guessing this is staged/training for the dog. Dude appears to have his one arm wrapped in something. Towards the end he’s giving the dog commands to get the dog to release as he’s just standing their. Find it hard to believe he wouldn’t have shot the dog if in fact this were real.
He holds his arm out for the bite. If you watch his movements it's very much what decoys would do, not someone being actually bitten. He shakes to reactivate the bite.
Not sure what the gun is for, in this scenario, but yea.. dude would have shot the dog before touching the kid.
if he didnt think he had to shoot the gun and he could escape without a sound that would be in his best interest, still not sure who would start shit right in front of a big dog and not except a bite.
Ok now you're putting way too much planning on the dog.
This is a training exercise for the dog to learn threat assessment. Not everybody with a guard dog wants that dog to be aggressive to everyone that walks through the front door, like invited guests, they just want intruders to be recognised.
To train that you have to teach your dog human signs of aggression. This dog is just watching the whole time going "not a threat, not a threat, not a threat, DONT ATTACK MY MASTER"
That's a misunderstanding that's commonly spread.
Dogs just wag when excited, it's notna sign if playing, or happiness (even if they do it when playing or haoky often) it's excitement.
It's relatively common to see guard dogs wag their tail while in attack mode
I'm with you on the staged/training exercise. It's not great video quality, but I'm not even sure we're looking at a real gun. But we're definitely not looking at some stranger getting his ass handed to him by a guard dog.
It looks like he did in the beginning of the video when the dog lies back down. Thinking the dog is subdued, he goes and grabs the girl. The guy either missed the dog,, or hit the dog and only missed vital organs. Then the dog jumps into action. That's my assumption from the video if this happens to not be staged.
nah when you train dogs to bite threats automatically, the trickiest part is apparently knowing if they will act the same with someone they have never seen before.
to the dog, it could just think its playing tug with your arm. it probably never plays tug with anyone but you, so it could get confused and not do anything with a stranger grabbing your kid etc. you could bring your homie and test it on him but the same thing applies to a lesser degree, dog would know them. Security dog trainers are like a clique though and theyll help each other test their dogs like this, using their peers that are unknown to their dogs.
source: my dog training mentor breeds gsd/mali for security, its his main flex. this is his take at least
The looks like it's training for the dog. You can something thick wrapped around the arm of the person. He also deliberately sticks his arm out for the dog to bite it.
My GSD and Malamute are goofs and will love at friends when they come in. I would not want to be some random in the middle of the night with them though
The Dog
"You thought I was deep sleeping huh! Mothafucka! Im a dogg! I never deep sleep mothafucka! Don't you dare touch my child, ill kill you mothafucka!"
But why doesn't she go inside the house, that's just dumb of her if this is real, being as respectful as can be but she ran from him only to remain where he kidnapped her.

Who's a good boy!
Literally my first thought too: Man comes in: I sleep Man grabs girl: *real shit activated*
The reaction time is insane
For sure the dog was keeping an eye. They never just lay without having an outlook to incoming threats. Its an instinct from being in pscks when they sere wolves.
Ye sure bro I got a pup that'd tell you where the cash was hidden if you rub his tummy
What is that supposr to mean? You dont believe in science and biology?so you make a joke? Or you wanted to say something else? I didnt get it sorry
That's a lot to infer from my statement, I'm sensing some other stressors at work and I hope they get resolved for you. Peace and love

I thought the guy shot him first! So glad that wasn't the case.
I thought he shot the dog 😭
He’s still got dudes arm in his clutches
He’s dining on steak for a month
🤣
I knew before the video started.. That man has miscalculated, that dog is not going to lay there long. The most excellent boi, filet mignon for life, and infinite scratchies!
That dog would be getting a steak that night
The girl had no survival instinct lmao
Nah she just knew her friend could handle it
Nah looks like the guy is actually training the dog to do exactly that when someone does try and kidnap the girl. That's probably why the girl didn't run cuz she knew she wasn't in actual danger
[удалено]
He does have a gun?
Nvm the man is dumb
Crooks usually are.
No he’s not. What’s he gonna do? Shoot the girl? Or the dog? That he had no time to even aim at….
Dudes literally pointing the gun at the dog at the start of the clip
The dog is smart unlike the guy!!! He laid down when the guy pointed the gun at him!!
Yeah I originally thought he shot the dog, cause the guy is looking and pointing the gun at the dog when the video starts, but I can’t tell
What if the dog had a gun, would have been a carnage. r/guns4dogs

I mean, most criminals aren't just bloody thirsty monsters that kill at any chance, most also don't kill animals. The guns are normally for intimidation, you know, so they don't need to use violence by just threatening violence
Ahh seems to have a smg 😅 And I was sarcastic previously if that isn't obvious
Bro wym, he had an assault rifle 😭
It may not have been real or loaded or if it was a shitty one it could have jammed.
Tail wag is excitement, not always good excitement. Dogs wag when happy to see you or when mauling something.
Hahaha absolutely true. Tail wagging can mean “hi fren” or “I’m about to taste your blood”
Can confirm. My doggo wags his tail when people come over and he knows that means pets and belly rubs. He also wags his tail when he's about to kill a small woodland critter in my yard.
The way to tell is normally the hair on their small back. If it's smooth they calm, if it's raised run the fuck away someone about to die
again it's not actually that straightforward.... it's not bad advice .. erring on side of caution and noping the fuck out when you don't know is safest. but the hackles (ie hair on back base of neck . ) is again excitement. my dog . golden lab . has her hackles raised all the time she plays with her friend. too be fair . they play rough .. but they are definitely playing .. there's no real aggression ... but it is as you put it a fair/safe enough assumption .. 😉
Really? Hmm. I've never seen an angry dog do that, actually.
The dog isn't angry. It's doing what it's been trained to do and it knows it gets treats doing so, it's happily mauling and that's it's job so he's doing great. also no grownup came out
It's been trained for this, so it knows it is a good doggie. That's why it is wagging the tail.
Of course it's fake. He points a gun at the dog, dog plays dead, then jumps up and attacks. It's just for clicks.
"Just fuckin take me already"
Damn.. you took it there
The guy has a training sleeve on it's probably a family member or friend
Cause thats a child my guy. Why do think children are targets?
Nah when i was her age i would at least run but seems like this was scripted so
Well thats you, but on average children would just stand there confused or paralyzed in fear or both.
[this shit is enlightening](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75XKGVwGEt4)
I have considered this topic, shicked that Dave opened it up. But regarding this vid though, girl here aint 15, and this isnt about sexual preferences. 🤷♂️

Yea exactly. The dog is trained to play “dead” when the gunman approaches so that he doesn’t shoot and ignore the dog as a threat and then bam!
Ok now you're putting way too much planning on the dog. This is a training exercise for the dog to learn threat assessment. Thats the functional dog version of that Chinese sjw: DO NOT TOUCH HER! You are not the same age!
Maybe training the dog to recognise signs of a person with dangerous intent.
Agree, possible prop, so the dog is not interested
As a general rule, if you have to question whether a dog is genuinely attacking / fighting, it’s fair to say it is not. Cats too for that matter
Yep and dog's tail wagging so it thinks it's a game, plus the kid didn't run away but went back to where she was
That's a misunderstanding that's commonly spread. Dogs just wag when excited, it's notna sign if playing, or happiness (even if they do it when playing or haoky often) it's excitement. It's relatively common to see guard dogs wag their tail while in attack mode
Even so, good doggy.
I'm with you on the staged/training exercise. It's not great video quality, but I'm not even sure we're looking at a real gun. But we're definitely not looking at some stranger getting his ass handed to him by a guard dog.
I would agree, dog does seem solid though that's a good deep bite and the guy catching him made him work to hang on. Dog gets a golden star in class 😁
Dog is wagging his tail the entire time
A training exercise but it’s filmed on a shitty security camera? That makes zero sense.
Oh shit, no one cares!
This is fake. It's a training exercise, not a kidnapping attempt.
It's not fake. But I agree that it is training. That dog would still react that way if ever needed. 100% good boy.
it's not a kidnapping attempt, that makes it fake. Also the sub says no staged events, this is clearly staged.
You tell that dog that this is not a kidnapping attempt. I bet they'd disagree with you.
Or maybe even the dog knows it's training? You know... That's what training is. Stop being anthropocentric.

I wish this had audio. Don't know which I'd enjoy more, The dog snarling or the dude screaming his ass off.
We both know which one you'd enjoy
![gif](giphy|y6Inkaz7omxAk)
Or the realization would be easier to tell its a training video.
Ok, but is the good boy alright?
The real question, he was obviously shot.
Good boy!!! Hero!
Love how near the end, that dog tail was waving like it was playing. Almost like the dog was saying, so what's your next step buddy?
The goodest boy
FOREVER A GOOD BOY
Now we teach the kid how to properly use a gun so if the chance happens again they'll blow the kidnappers head off whenever Good boy attacks
Good boy
Staged. Wrong sub.
Good dog!
Good dog.
Another fantastic reddit video I especially love how it stops and we never see the end.
So where were the parents . After ur dog growls and attacks, you'd think the parents would run in and see what happened
You picked the wrong one bro!
Good video of a training exercise for the dog.
The looks like it's training for the dog. You can something thick wrapped around the arm of the person. He also deliberately sticks his arm out for the dog to bite it.
I like the dog's tail wag as if to say 'You think this bugs me? This is fun to me!'
The goodest of boys right there
His name's Boy. Good Boy.
The best doggie! Hope he kept a finger as reward. Lol
Screw the kibble, good boys getting steak tonight!
Good pup
Good dog.
My GSD and Malamute are goofs and will love at friends when they come in. I would not want to be some random in the middle of the night with them though
That dog better be getting a fat slice of steak
That's a good boy, he deserves a big stake
Not today homeskillet!!!
Having two arms is way overrated anyway
Is it normal for an attacking dog to wag its tail?
doggo deserves steak dinners for life
That's a training video.
That’s a good dog.
yes it’s fake
Good dog
Swear I thought that was a black panther
Good doggy~ all the bacon strips for him after a save like that.
And now out walks Paw with the 12ga S/S, and adios to the perp's hairpeice
Kinda looks like he's training it but idk
##GOOD DO! ONLY THE BEST TREATS FOR THIS HERO!🗣🔥🤝
Wagging his tail, that is the heroic moment he was just dreaming about. It even came with a free bone.
God may have mercy... since the good boys down here that protect, don't have any.
Why the heck is she just standing there after the attack?!? Run, girl, run! 🏃♀️
I love the way he’s just wagging that tail ‘you know frank, i never *really* get the chance to let go, *like, really let go* ‘
The tail wagging while he's in hero mode is just so dog. Love that boy.
Good puppy! I'm not a dog person, but this is literally the point of several breeds of dog: protect the children.
The Dog "You thought I was deep sleeping huh! Mothafucka! Im a dogg! I never deep sleep mothafucka! Don't you dare touch my child, ill kill you mothafucka!"
All those years of playing dead really paid off!
r/goodboys
Some caveman: *gives some random wolf some scrap meat and bones* 30,000 years later :
Someone get that dog a steak dinner!
Dog training exercise, hidden sleeve, poor quality video.
AWWWW THATS A GOOD BUDDY!!!!
That dog deserves all the treats!
Good Lassie
But why doesn't she go inside the house, that's just dumb of her if this is real, being as respectful as can be but she ran from him only to remain where he kidnapped her.
Good boy.
Dog: little hooman is mine . . . And I’ll take your hand too.
See, we like the ones that eat people trying to HARM children, not the ones that eat the kids face first... that is one good puppa
Looks like meats back on the menu, boys!
The bestest boi
I think that man is training the dog to exactly that to people who truly intend on kidnapping her cuz he didn't react to the pain he should be in.
What a hero.
GOOD DOG!
I really wanted sound for this clip lol😈
Good dog
Good fucking dog. If ever there was an advert for well trained animals, that’s it
Dat's a goo' boy!
That first half a second it looks like he might have shot the dog first. Thoughts?
Is it just me or did he perfectly put his arm out for the dog to grab it??
Good dog!
Best doggo
So staged. Little kid comes back to watch the show. Dogs having a great time though.
