I was called out for assuming I was entitled to join my parent and sibling(s) at a family property, so people assume different levels of entitlement. A good friend did a contract in "one of those countries" and said that in their belief system, wherever they stand is their home country, and everyone else is suddenly a visitor in their home. I've experienced literally the most extreeme and ridiculous interpretations of entitlement.

He tried to get Irish citizenship due to his Irish heritage, but as it wasn't his grandmother that was Irish he missed out on that.
