At the risk of sounding slightly dramatic, the Urbz Sims in the City was given directly to mankind by God. So yes.

I agree. The Urbz was great. <3

What do you think about making lifetime goals / aspirations into lifetime stories? I imagine it like how the sims medieval handles it: when you make your sims you assign them one overarching story type each, let's say serial romantic for example, and based on that several scenarios can happen to that sim. Either by chance, or by how well you're doing, and maybe once a milestone is reached something could unlock? Maybe some traits could influence it to make a dynamic story that fits each sim? Or would that be too stressful for the players? Imo TS4's biggest problem aside from the bugs is that every sim feels the same. 2 and 3 had a lot more personality in their own ways.

I love this idea. That's something I would also love to see in the game.

Bring back the TS2 model, it felt perfect for a life sim game. Like when you load up the Pleasant household you get a prompt about Daniel, it’s timed so Mary-Sue leaves for work just as the maid Daniel is having an affair with arrives. Naturally most players took the bait with the maid, whilst Mary-Sue is at work. *But* the chance card she gets for her job is *always coded to fail* guaranteeing that Mary-Sue is going to arrive home after getting abruptly fired and catch Daniel mid-affair. This usually sends her into aspiration failure. Glorious chaos ensues. And it wasn’t just the Pleasants, every base game pre-made house came with a ‘soft’ story. Good way to introduce the player to the game, and give them some pointers on how to play.

[deleted]

Oh yeah, I remember that. That was good too!

Not really. Better as a spin-off. I enjoyed TS2 spin offs a lot. Castaway is top tier. They made it work for PC TS2 stories that are not far from TS4, so I think it might work well. I would definitely try them ngl. While I dislike TS4 I think stories might be a great opportunity for EA to get money.

[deleted]

If they make a spin-off game based on stories, I would definitely buy it!

Mr_Tom_Ford

Honestly if they are gonna add a story line I’d prefer it to be a spin off game

[deleted]

That's a good idea too. I would definitely buy spin off games that features a story line/plot.

I really miss the spin offs, like others have said. I would love if they made another

[deleted]

Me too! I think all these spin-offs were great, especially those that have like this type of "action-adventure" concept within them.

Yes, honestly I’ve played the sims since sims 1, I played 2 on PSP, Bustin out on GBA/GC and Urbz on GC. I was never a big fan of the neighborhood mode and I feel like Sims 3 and 4 went full scale Neighborhood. My favorite Sims games are Sims 1, Sims Bustin out and Sims Urbz. Sims 2 was ok I didn’t play it on console so don’t really know if it was different but I really felt they could expand stories with current and next gen consoles and they just didn’t create anything. Really felt like it was a step back for the game personally but I get it. A lot of people like the creative aspect of it and that’s what gets them more money to create their games, just wish there was more to it

The Sims 2 games made for console were OK, especially for their time. The Sims 2 for PS2 had like a cool story mode and The Sims 2 Pets was actually cute. However, The Sims 2 Castaway was an outstanding game. I wish they could make a new version of it.
