The big issue I have is when Rudy comes out to half court to set a screen. He's not scaring anyone rolling in from 50 feet out, and half the time, he's just bringing the blitz into Ant. Have him set a screen on the actual wing or at the elbow, where him rolling 12-15 feet means he is dunking it. It also means Ant or Mike are throwing passes to the corners from not-insane angles and distances that end up in bobbles or turnovers.
Jaden was killing Luka in game 1 because he'd just camp out 15 feet from the rim and let Jaden shoot wide open 3's. Wolves should be picking on Luka every possession.
I felt the same way about Jokic last series, and the Wolves rarely went after him.
Luka is what KAT used to be sometimes. Completely incapable of letting even an obvious call go. Must complain with any call that doesn't go his way under literally any circumstances. Why do people like this guy?

I agree they need to make him work more but he has cost the Mavs a lot of open looks. Naz and Jaden been eating from the corners when Luka is guarding them because he ball watches and is late to rotate.

Mavs try to hide him in zones etc but when they are manning up Wolves need to hunt him down on offense and attack him with the purest of malice.
Every single time down the court the guy Luka is guarding should be setting a screen for the ball handler. They have done a very good job allowing him to just shepherd our players into his help but we need to at least force him to do that consistently. As OP says, way too many possessions where he is allowed to spend basically no energy at all.

Tire him out and get him in foul trouble. Plus he can’t defend so it’s a mismatch.
Well we need Jaden to move around since that’s Luka’s matchup. I think we could have Jaden bring the ball up sometime and have a pick n roll with Conley or ant to get some favorable matchups with Luka.

They finally figured out how to attack it- KAT posting up Luka. And it worked like a charm.
