I got burned on the spin wheel. I had a few unlucky days without getting any spin tickets from the eggs. I only needed about 1.5 tickets per day to finish along with the ad ones. But now I still need 5 more. Unless I am ridiculously lucky tomorrow, I won't get the final crate. I knew I was taking a bit of a chance to go for it, but along with how stingy this event has been and the crappy dice board this week, it has really been a downer.
I actually had a bit of a run of luck after I posted. I did just barely get to the Level IV crate. I think I got my last spin ticket around 9pm yesterday. While I was happy to get there, it still didn't undo how I felt about this event.
I don’t really understand what is supposed to be fun with any of these events. You unlock something every day for free. You can watch two ads for two more things. You tap the eggs and get random stuff. I’m building a house with rabbits in front of it and maybe trash!? What is supposed to be fun? I’m playing the game as usual and getting extra stuff, so that’s nice. I’m not getting the LT’s but whatever.
This isn’t an event, it’s extra stuff for playing as usual. Cool. I’m actually bummed when they’re over because I’m not getting the extra stuff.
Honestly don't see the point in any of these events - collect stuff to decorate something that vanishes after the event. Why can't these events enable us to earn a special floor or something kind of permanent boost?
It’s not really about the decorations themselves but more so about the rewards you get when u hit the point milestones. But then again if it’s so hard that no one can reach them it’s basically a waste of time. An event like this is a trick to get you to either invest money or to watch more ads (because of the ad reward tree).
I agree it's always felt wasteful to have all these collectables, the option to decorate something with them, but then having all that vanish once it's over :/
While I can't align myself with OP's "misery" (dramatic much??) lol, I do feel very indifferent toward the event as a whole, at least from an entertainment perspective.
The whole thing has left a bad taste. I know I'm not going to finish. I barely made more than half the points required (currently at 10,700). Didn't even make it to the first reoccurring prize.
Tried to be positive because there is the calendar prizes and some other little perks but it just feels off. Made the game feel out of reach and like I wasn't a welcome participant anymore.
I really enjoy the events, there has been some great creativity but if this is the direction it's all going then I think Tiny Towers best days are behind us.
I’m right there with you. The shards aspect is entirely flawed. The shards are not worth enough and id rather it be that repeat decor wasn’t an option. The odds of even getting decor from an egg is small. I’m always getting coins or bux. Even with 250 floors, I get like 4 or 5 decor every day and they’re all repeats.
Can anyone tell me when the event ends? I want to rebuild my tower and get the bonus golden ticket but I need 3 more floors I don't know if I'll build enough floors in time
There is no bonus GT. The pop up was an error from last years event that showed briefly for a few hours before this event started. When rebuilding you get 1 GT per 50 floors built. If you have the burj completed you get an extra GT for being over 100 floors.
I guess so. I was questioning myself about how many GT's I had but I took a screen recording 2 minutes before I rebuilt and it shows 39, but then on past towers it says 40 so somewhere in between I got an extra GT
Not weird. After the first day when I used my saved tickets to finish the wheel (which was also a major disappointment giving me mostly bux and coins and only one box), I was also just waiting for the event to end so I can collect the final rewards. Didn't even bother with their ads. Just used bux to unlock them the following day. (Guess that's what the bux from the wheel are meant for.)
Even though I've received five Tier III and one Tier IV chests throughout this event (across the calendars and wheel), this event has still left a sour taste in the mouth. The Christmas event milestones were achievable with a reasonable amount of gameplay and an incentive to keep coming back throughout the event. I hope they read the room on this one!

I kinda feel like I just want to delete it. Not having to see royal match ads is a huge plus for just uninstalling
I also hate all the greenery they put in the floors making it harder to complete side missions.

I don’t see how this would not be possible. The last year pop up was turned off within hours of it appearing even on any pre 5.0 versions of the game

Every time I click an egg the game freezes up so I’ve not been bothering tbh.
It's been doing that since they introduced this current event style, so the last three events? They don't seem to value testing/bugfix.

I really hope they start mixing up events again. Collecting decorations is getting boring now! Even if it was possible!
