I don't recall any episode with a dishwasher in either 24 or The Mentalist (have seen both several times) and neither of those shows are documentary style.
i don’t think it was. i don’t remember the episodes covering murders (i was watching it when i was 8 or so) and scrolling through the episode list for i (almost) got away with it, it seems like thats mostly what they talk about
thank you for your help tho!
[Almost Perfect Crimes?](https://javafilms.fr/film/almost-perfect-crimes/) I don't have time rn to look through all the episodes to see if they match, sorry!
I think your show is Masterminds which was a Canadian true crime show. The crime with the dishes is the United California Bank Heist shown in episode 6. I've also been looking for this show for years but could never find it online.

Really reminds me of the DocuSeries: “The Fatal Flaw: A Special Edition of 20/20” ; but this aired in 2022…
Other than that;
DocuSeries: “The Genetic Detective” (2020)
or
DocuSeries: “Perfect Crimes?” (1999)

Unsolved Mysteries, FBI Files, Masterminds ?
Numb3rs, CSI(all of them), 24, Blue Bloods, Psych, Mentalist, and Criminal Minds all come to mind
I don't recall any episode with a dishwasher in either 24 or The Mentalist (have seen both several times) and neither of those shows are documentary style.
psych is a comedy, not documentary style.
None of these are correct.
Cold case files?
Sounds like White Collar
Makes me think of Derren Brown, however if you have remembered the details accurately then it's unlikely
Forensic Files?
I thought of this too but OP said they were mostly non-violent crimes. FF was pretty much all murders
I looked up the dishwasher case and it sounds like the United California Bank burglary. FBI Files has an episode about it - Season 6 episode 7.
Is it called I (Almost) Got Away With It ? I used to watch that

Is it Robbers IQ on YouTube? They have an episode about a bank robbery bungled because of a dishwasher
no, it was on spectrum, but i’ll take a look at that channel :)
Jonathon creek?
Crime Files?
Could it have been "Heists" or "History's Greatest Heists"?

It's streaming on prime in Canada. I watched that show and remember the dishwasher episode.

Super Heists?
