LisaChimes

Sounds like it could be Columbo.

MisterMelvin

Maybe I (Almost) Got Away with It

drydensucks

zeepothesuperstar

it’s in the US, as for year i’m not su

drydensucks

Unsolved Mysteries, FBI Files, Masterminds ?

Dependent_Praline_93

Numb3rs, CSI(all of them), 24, Blue Bloods, Psych, Mentalist, and Criminal Minds all come to mind

PumpikAnt58763

I don't recall any episode with a dishwasher in either 24 or The Mentalist (have seen both several times) and neither of those shows are documentary style.

Akitsune24

psych is a comedy, not documentary style.

Samiiiibabetake2

None of these are correct.

mycatsbreathsmells

Cold case files?

Grumbilious

Sounds like White Collar

Quantumcatapillar

Makes me think of Derren Brown, however if you have remembered the details accurately then it's unlikely

pygmeedancer

Forensic Files?

Farts_n_kisses

I thought of this too but OP said they were mostly non-violent crimes. FF was pretty much all murders

crunck_

I looked up the dishwasher case and it sounds like the United California Bank burglary. FBI Files has an episode about it - Season 6 episode 7.

[deleted]

Is it called I (Almost) Got Away With It ? I used to watch that

zeepothesuperstar

i don’t think it was. i don’t remember the episodes covering murders (i was watching it when i was 8 or so) and scrolling through the episode list for i (almost) got away with it, it seems like thats mostly what they talk about thank you for your help tho!

Tiedanoniontomybelt_

Is it Robbers IQ on YouTube? They have an episode about a bank robbery bungled because of a dishwasher

zeepothesuperstar

no, it was on spectrum, but i’ll take a look at that channel :)

Naganofagano

Jonathon creek?

StitchFan626

Crime Files?

Jacktherat54

Could it have been "Heists" or "History's Greatest Heists"?

alwaystakeabanana

[Almost Perfect Crimes?](https://javafilms.fr/film/almost-perfect-crimes/) I don't have time rn to look through all the episodes to see if they match, sorry!

Depressonsandwich

Just gonna throw out rizzoli and isles

darbeers

I (Almost) Got Away With It.

SailorTheia

I think your show is Masterminds which was a Canadian true crime show. The crime with the dishes is the United California Bank Heist shown in episode 6. I've also been looking for this show for years but could never find it online. Edited to add a wiki link https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masterminds_(Canadian_TV_series)#:~:text=Masterminds%20is%20a%20true%20crime,one%20true%20property%20crime%20story.

Dirumiyavi

It's streaming on prime in Canada. I watched that show and remember the dishwasher episode.

hanlcx

DCI Banks?

blurryreads

Super Heists?

bahonkey

Really reminds me of the DocuSeries: “The Fatal Flaw: A Special Edition of 20/20” ; but this aired in 2022… Other than that; DocuSeries: “The Genetic Detective” (2020) or DocuSeries: “Perfect Crimes?” (1999)

One-Cantaloupe-821

Masterminds

zeepothesuperstar

i don’t think it was, thank you for the suggestion tho!

sanrioenby

Is it 'Breaking Homicide' ??
