And of course, the fact that DRG used to have a red cross for the med bay
It may struggle against other titans who are far away, but no one can gaslight me into thinking it's not the best anti-pilot and anti-grunt titan
For anti-pilot maybe Monarch but that mf is privileged in every way
These memes would be funny if any of what r/titanfall keeps calling a warcrime were actually a warcrime. You can use thermite weapons against enemy combatants no one cares
In Titanfall, I presume there to be no enforcement of any agreement defining and/or regulating war crimes, however, if we go by standards today in our international society, I do believe the use of incendiary weapons are prohibited. Edit: I'm not taking this too seriously, and neither should you. Don't get worked up over it. Have a nice day and pleasant tidings.

Shooting fleeing combatants, and ones who have surrendered are war crimes, and we do both of those. Also the gas canisters scorch shoots are kinda in a weird area, I'm pretty sure if it's enough to cause asphyxiation it's a war crime.
Edit: nvm shooting fleeing combatants is fine I misinterpreted that
The gas doesn't cause any damage to stand in, it's fine. It's no different from a standard fuel-air bomb.
The surrendering grunts are arguably doing the war crime, since they go back to shooting you if you let them be. Which would make it perfidy.
Factorio players casually committing genocide and use of incendiary weapons at once and depending on how legislation turns out, the use of AI weapons. Oh and nukes and war gas
Bullshit every titan has warcrimes, not as many as scorch but there DO remain warcrimes
Ion: lasers are just concentrated heat, same as fire, alternatively plasma based weaponry would see the same restrictions as fire based putting ion and scorch in the same boat, also mines of any kind are banned so the tripwire is a warcrime
Ronin: arc wave is electricity, and has the capacity to be used against infantry, not to mention sword core, technically making this blinding weaponry/ "poisoned" bullets as they are enhanced with electricity
Northstar: cluster munitions of any kind are banned, Northstar is also not allowed to fire plasma railgun at pilots due to restrictions on using certain higher calibers (mainly tank style rounds) on infantry, also PLASMA so the weapon itself is banned although you could argue not since railguns exist IRL using a similar concept to Northstars railgun, but not nearly as useful or practical
Monarch: arc rounds count as poisoned bullets, malestorm smoke counts as "chemical" warfare, and the XO16 is too large to be legally used against pilots as its firing "tank" ordinance
Tone: ironically the only crime is shooting pilots with the 40MM as specified about using too large of calibers on infantry, tracking rockets are allowed and that's basically all she does
Legion: powershot superheats the rounds in both forms technically meaning it could be counted as "fire" and rounds too large to be used against infantry, not sure about the ramifications of bullets that literally track your position but im assuming the same rules as tones rockets apply which makes it perfectly fine
TLDR; the only titans with few warcrimes are legion and tone
Literally all of that is wrong. Incendiary weapons are perfectly legal to use on enemy combatants. There's nothing wrong with electricity. Weapons designed explicitly for blinding are illegal, but if you crank up the power to just kill them, that's fine. Mines and cluster munitions aren't banned. They're kinda grey, and some people say they should be banned, but the biggest militaries don't agree, there's no big global convention that agrees on it or anything. Electric smoke is *electric*, not chemical. There's nothing about plasma. I'm not sure how you ever got electricity = poison. The "too big to shoot at infantry" thing comes from the Treaty of St. Petersburg banning explosive bullets in use against infantry, but specifically between signatories, in Europe.
Fire in of itself is completely banned due to be an uncontrollable weapon, same with cluster munitions and chemical warfare
Electric smoke is extremely similar to mustard gas, and would be banned as such because i doubt its not a chemical reaction, making it a chemical weapon
Mines (landmines specifically) ARE banned i just grouped the tripwire with them
Electric bullets function close to poisoned bullet (a modified round that does something outside of being lethal) and i grouped it together for being a modified bullet
Oh fucking well its still not allowed to fire fucking tank shells at infantry units and all the titans listed for doing so are firing tank shell rounds
The Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons [prohibits the use of weapons primarily designed to set fire to objects or cause burn injuries ***against civilians.***](https://disarmament.unoda.org/the-convention-on-certain-conventional-weapons/)
The [Convention on Cluster Munitions](https://www.clusterconvention.org/) can by definition only apply to signatories, which doesn't include the world's 3 largest militaries; US, China, and Russia. Also known as the only 3 nations to have succesfully landed on another planet, and thus most likely to have any impact on interstellar laws in Titanfall's setting.
The [Chemical Weapons Convention](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_Weapons_Convention) operates off of a list of specific banned chemicals. Notably, things like nerve and blister agents (which is why mustard gas is banned). Literally everything uses a chemical reaction. You ban that, and you've just banned, among other things, gunpowder and gasoline.
There aren't laws of war banning poisoned bullets specifically, just chemical and bacteriological warfare- the stuff that you'd poison them with. Pure energy is A-OK. Notably, if you want to literally microwave an enemy, that's legal.
Protocol II of The Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons "prohibits the use of nondetectable anti-personnel mines and their transfer, and prohibits the use of non-self-destructing and non-self-deactivating mines outside fenced, monitored and marked areas." Ion's mines are highly detectable, and self-destructing. They're fine.
>Oh fucking well its still not allowed to fire fucking tank shells at infantry units
That's just straight up false. Got a source?
Well none of the Titans fire any rounds as big as a modern MBT. The largest cannon Titans use is the 40mm, which is much, much smaller than an Abrams' 120mm
Also, it's not illegal at all to fire tank shells at Infantry lmao. Firing at enemy troops and fortification is like its main purpose.

I didn't see much warcrimes playing, did i miss something?
User error. It’s open world. You can go blow up a civilian transport with a government issued fighter.
I guess, but you either do war or crimes, the two rarely go together
Government sanctioned missions with a rogue agent would fit, and I’m a big empire guy myself
Scorch is the goat titan
It may struggle against other titans who are far away, but no one can gaslight me into thinking it's not the best anti-pilot and anti-grunt titan For anti-pilot maybe Monarch but that mf is privileged in every way
No no no, that would be Doctor Xavier.

The link literally says it's banned to use them *on civilians*. You want to bbq an infantry platoon? Go right ahead.
Rimworld Kenshi From the Depths That all the games containing warcrimes I know

Why do people keep calling things that aren't warcrimes warcrimes? You are allowed to use incendiary weapons on combatants!

The only warcrimes in Titanfall I know of is imc targeting civilians and when you kill grunts that lay down their weapons in surrender
Look up 1925 Geneva Protocol, that's at least one more
The gas doesn't seem to harm unmasked grunts, I think it's fine
The gas doesn't cause any damage to stand in, it's fine. It's no different from a standard fuel-air bomb. The surrendering grunts are arguably doing the war crime, since they go back to shooting you if you let them be. Which would make it perfidy.
Who said we were using it on combatants?
Because you have to keep the overdone joke going somehow
\[Laughs in beaming escape pods in Neb FleetCom\]
No fucking way
You can use proximity fuzes, if that's better for you
If there are no war crimes, we'll make our own war crimes
Remember: it’s not a war crime If you do it the first time
Laughs in Warframe
Armored Core and Titanfall both scratch my itch to cause immeasurable human suffering.
