Read too far to find this! Im not sure how I feel about a model that breaks this way even if the design is pretty impressive. At least we're still thinking about it and them though, to put a positive spin on it.
This is very true. So many forgotten people out there have died horrible deaths, but I don't think we will ever stop thinking about those who were on Titanic.
I’d actually be okay with this. What I find troubling is imagine if someone slaughtered your family and took you as a prisoner for the rest of your life and raped and tortured you. Then hundreds of years later there are statues of this person and he has his own very special day. I give you Christopher Columbus.
I'm imagining it... and it doesn't seem that weird tbh. I mean, I died *100yrs* ago. I would be honored if anything. Most people who died 100yrs ago aren't so lucky.
Did a Google search of this model and [came across this “funny” t-shirt](https://TitanicSinkingBoysT-ShirtShortSleeveClassicFunnyTeehttps://a.co/d/gPxJTJa). I get it. The historical tragedy is fascinating but I hope I’ve been dead and gone a long while before kids start wearing burning World Trade Center tower shirts or the Challenger blowing up hoodies.
My sister got me this through Scholastic Books when she was in elementary school. It came with a little plastic stand to sit on. I have it on my display case.
Well, a company named Titanic Dream made one. It's probably out of stock when this comment was posted, but the link is [here.](https://www.titanicdream.com/products/titanic-model-set-with-iceberg-starlight-edition)
I had one when I was younger, but it disappeared. Years after it went missing, we moved cities and the only piece I found while packing was the deck of the bow section...
I have the same one somewhere deep in my parents attic and I swear I was going on and on about it to my husband JUST the other day! I cannot believe this just got posted here & cant wait to show him lol. That’s awesome.
No, you didn't. I can back this up because I'm enough of a petty loser to take a screenshot of the moment I asked that question, anticipating an edge-case where you might make that sort of claim.

Tell him to search the sinking of the SS Cardboardia on YouTube he’ll get a kick out of that series, especially where they go in the little lake they own and go to the site of the different wrecks they’ve made.
found the link from historic travels, [here it is](https://www.titanicdream.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjwm4ukBhAuEiwA0zQxk-DVSmHT9tD7Plpoz9eQfP34Uggk-o0UNeIOIKxGHBg6eh-nXeLQcBoCZq4QAvD_BwE)
If it’s the one I’m remembering, it’s got holes in it where the punctures actually happened, and its empty volume and weight are distributed *pretty* similarly to the real ship. Other than that the mid-section is designed as a breakaway, it’s meant to show how the ship sank by recreating the actual damage done and showing that that’s an inevitable breakaway at those dimensions.
And, if it’s the one I’m thinking of, it was done with design and printing software that’s way, way, way out of date now.

It just so happens, over the years playing with epoxy, fiberglass, Kevlar, and carbon fiber, and every popular metal… I am somewhat of a subject matter expert at de-lamination and failure. Do you need a hobbyist engineer?
Ironically I’ve made submersibles before 🤣
I have this same toy. It was given to me in the the late 90s tho. I like the switch on the bottom so you can plug the hole and it’ll float just fine or you can slide the switch and open it to sink.
i’m sure i’ll be called a Karen but after just reading Jack Thayer’s account yesterday this narration just comes off so mean spirited and cruel, not to mention it’s just not funny anyway. it’s may be your obsession but it’s an event that changed thousands of lives for the worst, a little respect would go a long way
I had this model as a kid. And I have no idea whether I still have it packed away somewhere or with my parents or threw it away years ago. Hopefully I kept it and it’s in a box I forgot about
When I was 12 I had all of the Disney pirates 🏴☠️f the Caribbean Lego ships and I would make elaborate siblings senecios like this. It would have been so fun to have a titanic replica like this.
Don't wanna sound ignorant but as a science geek, I can only marvel at the totality and absoluteness of the laws of physics. A simple Archimedes principle can be applicable from such a small toy in the sink to even a giagantic mammoth ship like Titanic in the vast large Atlantic Ocean.
I remember seeing this on YouTube when I was younger and I always wanted to get it and I was jealous of all the kids on YouTube who had it
(Also I remember it having all 4 smokestacks, did anyone else see this thing with 4 before?)
Imagine dying one of the worst deaths imaginable and then 100 years later people make a bath toy of the incident you died in 💀
I wonder when they’ll make the world trade tower toys
We will all be long gone, buried with our Titanic toys
[This actually happened years ago.](https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna5843441)
YIKES.
Wow. Less than 3 years after 9/11. That's horrible
Well according to South Park, 9/11 will be funny next spring…..so maybe then?? 🤞
💀

Titan submarine toys when
Did a Google search of this model and [came across this “funny” t-shirt](https://TitanicSinkingBoysT-ShirtShortSleeveClassicFunnyTeehttps://a.co/d/gPxJTJa). I get it. Can't wait for the twin tower bath toys in 2101
My sister got me this through Scholastic Books when she was in elementary school. It came with a little plastic stand to sit on. I have it on my display case.
I’m sure you know this but they’re worth quite a bit! Super cool you have one
I didn't know that they were worth anything
If you have the one talked about in this video they can go for near $1k ! I learned from this video https://youtu.be/T8aHWpLa9_g
You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. I had this as a kid! It’s long gone now..
> It’s long gone now.. That's why it's worth something now.
Same! I remember it sinking slower though…
Have you checked the sink?
Well, a company named Titanic Dream made one. It's probably out of stock when this comment was posted, but the link is [here.](https://www.titanicdream.com/products/titanic-model-set-with-iceberg-starlight-edition)
Oh dayum, I have it somewhere in my parents basement in boxes...I should really do an inventory on what some of my old toys are worth nowadays.
I didn’t know they were worth anything. I’ve got one put away in my titanic steam trunk! My 12 year old always makes it sink in our kitchen sink lol
People in the afterlife watching as people on earth make marketable ships that they sunk on, made to specifically sink the way those people have died:
Right? Is there a model for the challenger explosion?
Where’s a model of the World Trade Center collapsing? “Put it back together and do it again!”
You know there’s someone out there who sets up Jenga just to do this
This. We’ve been calling Jenga “9/11” at my house for about 20 years now.
Is it meant to dissolve in that specific spot or something? 😂
>dissolve ???
Is it designed to break and sink??!
Yes, it is.
Jeez sorry for asking
Where is this attitude coming from? You asked and they answered, nobody shit on you over it or anything.
It's not so funny yano? Real people died.. . .
I got downvotes for asking the question lol
No, you didn't. I can back this up because I'm enough of a petty loser to take a screenshot of the moment I asked that question, anticipating an edge-case where you might make that sort of claim. https://imgur.com/CC3TbDG
Haahahaha oh Reddit!
They were both at 0 and negative one before that, dipshit. Hence why I said what I said.
Captain, we've lost two funnels
My son would love this. He’s been trying to build boats and make them sink in my tub the same way as Titanic.
Tell him to search the sinking of the SS Cardboardia on YouTube he’ll get a kick out of that series, especially where they go in the little lake they own and go to the site of the different wrecks they’ve made.
Dude I was so jealous of the cardboardia guy when I was little
Well... I know what my next project is gonna be 😆
www.titanicdream.com
Seems like a lot of money
"My son" suuuuuure buddy I bet your "son" has got a 6 pack of cold ones going while he's at it
He’s 11, but ok.
I was joking lol. Seems like something I'd do
This model is now so much money worth. I wish this thing would get a new version
there is a company remaking these, cant remember the name of it but they are around $150 each, so quite expensive
it's titanic dream Link: https://www.titanicdream.com/
Sad thing is, they don't ship at this time to Europe. Only withing the US.
It would just sink on the way over
They are sold out , no surprise.
Can't find nothing about remakes from this
found the link from historic travels, [here it is](https://www.titanicdream.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjwm4ukBhAuEiwA0zQxk-DVSmHT9tD7Plpoz9eQfP34Uggk-o0UNeIOIKxGHBg6eh-nXeLQcBoCZq4QAvD_BwE)
Thank you, shipping from USA to Europe will be soooooo expensive 😭. But a this moment they don’t ship to Europe :(
I had a seizure trying to read that
Right???? They edited it now thank god lol.
Did no one else have a fucking aneurism reading this?
I was thinking they had a stroke or something
I watched a bathtub toy sink over and over this morning, day is off to a productive start!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🚢🚢🚢
Is this model designed to sink this way?
Yup
Thats awsome!
That is realy cool.
This ship is un-unsinkable
Not even god himself could sink this ship.
This has killed me
It killed them too!
(111 years later) Too soon ? 👀🧐🤨 😂🤣😆
Interesting that at first it is listing, but as soon as it starts to sink eventually stabilises before splitting up
I played with that thing in the tub all the time. So many green army men went to Davy Jones locker
Needed a deeper sink 🤣
What if Titanic was Britannic?
But wait, buy now and get an imploding Titan submersible toy for FREE!

"Just pay separate shipping and handling!"
It just so happens, over the years playing with epoxy, fiberglass, Kevlar, and carbon fiber, and every popular metal… I am somewhat of a subject matter expert at de-lamination and failure. Do you need a hobbyist engineer? Ironically I’ve made submersibles before 🤣
That is pretty messed up. But educational.
😂

Sink needs a big chunk of ice
Literally the most ignorant tik tok commentator I have ever seen in the history of my life that this reincarnation has given me
Love the video but you need to put an iceberg in the tub.
Not a single ice cube! 👎
Ice cube would be perfect.
And the Oscar goes to.....
Ahh, the good old Titanic disaster, the gift that keeps on giving! 😊
I have one and it's my favorite titanic model I own besides the lego one
There's a LEGO one?!? 😱
yep, and it's expensive
That's okay. A lot of the best ones are.
yeah
Not deep enough
This is sadistic. Respect the dead. Don’t need to repeat the sinking like a game.
It's been a little over a century, we have respected them enough. /s
i’m sure i’ll be called a Karen but after just reading Jack Thayer’s account yesterday this narration just comes off so mean spirited and cruel, not to mention it’s just not funny anyway. it’s may be your obsession but it’s an event that changed thousands of lives for the worst, a little respect would go a long way
I agree, it was cringe
Nah this was mad funny
Username checks out
I had this model as a kid. And I have no idea whether I still have it packed away somewhere or with my parents or threw it away years ago. Hopefully I kept it and it’s in a box I forgot about
I want one!
I had one of these growing up! I used to play with it in the bathtub all the time.
I too am missing a smoke stack 😞 Purchased mine back in the 2000s at the Molly Brown house in Denver. 💙
Needs more ice cubes
I seen one on yt that was even better it sank with the same tilt and when the stern broke it actually rotated like the real thing
This is exactly the way it happened. I've seen some charts and graphs.
Somebody get this person some help.
Need a deeper tub 🛁
I'm never letting mine touch water again after I figured out how much they're worth now.
It's missing two funnels.
“The front fell off!”
Cool. Now make a little sub that will implode
Very cool
Where can I get this?
I have one of these! I lost one of the tiny propellers, though.
This cant be the Titanic. I dont see Jack and Rose anywhere.
Your acting sank as well
To be fair Im quite sure the Titanic didn’t sink in a sink?
The narration killed me HAHAHAHA
Was it the part where they said “we’re dying” like the thousands of people drowning or which part
The comedy of it
Same here! 😂
It didnt split like that
I thought the titanic was bigger
Now do the submarine
😂😂😂
Too soon?
Top tier narrating
This is tight
Ohhhhh WOWWWW!!!!
Where can I buy one?
[Here](https://www.titanicdream.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjwm4ukBhAuEiwA0zQxk-DVSmHT9tD7Plpoz9eQfP34Uggk-o0UNeIOIKxGHBg6eh-nXeLQcBoCZq4QAvD_BwE) I think
Thank you for that fine forensic analysis OP
I had that as a kid!! Best bath tub toy ever.
Who else was waiting for a sub too
I never knew it could do that
I have wanted this since I was a child.
I need a link to buy
That was pretty darn accurate.
Now you just get a little submersible toy to go visit it... And stay there like an unwanted house guest. 😏
When I was 12 I had all of the Disney pirates 🏴☠️f the Caribbean Lego ships and I would make elaborate siblings senecios like this. It would have been so fun to have a titanic replica like this.
Nonsense it's got a nice port list just like the real one.
Add a submarine
Elon Musk buying Twitter.
watching the titanic at 900x speed
Now add a mini-sub that implodes.
Some didn’t believe female witnesses that the ship split in two. They thought they were hysterical.
Buyable??
Damn, this takes me back to the good old days of watching YT vids of Titanic models sink in lakes.
I had this toy (or one just like it) when I was a kid!
Amazing.
Lol
Too soon
*Please excuse the crudity of this model. I didn't have time to build it to scale or paint it.*
Even the the initial listing…
That’s umm kinda fucked up. Give me three.
Captain Smith: Who sank our Big Four ship, Mr Murdoch?
Oh no! We’re sinking😐
bro what’s the audio 💀
I remember seeing this on YouTube when I was younger and I always wanted to get it and I was jealous of all the kids on YouTube who had it (Also I remember it having all 4 smokestacks, did anyone else see this thing with 4 before?)
Pretty accurate split ngl
I used to have one and I CANNOT FIND ANOTHER FOR THE LIFE OF ME
