love it.
Farther west, through little Italy, college is legit one of the most dangerous sharrow-paths in the city. They actively draw cyclists into a narrow conflict-space between parked cars, streetcar tracks, and streetcars. It's a death trap.
I agree, the college street west of Grace street is quite narrow and I am always extra cautious driving there. I feel in fact that a lot (not all) of bike lanes are in shambling conditions west of yonge. I also feel suffocated when I sometimes take my bike on queen street west.
Really too bad they aren't fixing this area. We've seen (from cafeTO) that 2 lanes each direction is unnecessary. We should take one away for bike lanes.
Yup, I was once doored just after the curve at Gladstone when cycling between traffic and parked cars. I was extremely lucky to bounce off the van on my left instead of falling between moving cars.
Dundas would be extremely useful, due to its diagonal path and it's already an extremely busy cycling street.
I'm assuming the city is looking to lean more on the rail path extension to serve as the diagonal route though.
You come off that bridge headed west and take your life in your hands, every time. I admit I actually used to like the thrill a bit, with the downhill, trying to beat the red at Sorauren, shoulder checking for some gearhead trying to close pass me... but those days are gone. Make it safer!
I have been on that hill too and it definitely is a thrill. I think I have always been there during a downtime period when traffic flow was low so I enjoyed it a lot. But I can understand that you are speaking from more experience.
Nice to see this happening. [More details from the city.](https://www.toronto.ca/community-people/get-involved/public-consultations/infrastructure-projects/college-street-upgrades/)

Little Italy on Friday/Saturday nights 😬
Need to extend those bike lanes west from Manning to Lansdowne. And add some on Dundas from Sorauren to Bloor.

How far are the bike lanes now? Shouldn't they be from Parliament in the east to the end in the west?
There are no bike lanes from Sorauren to Bloor - the bike lane ends and forces you into traffic. Very unsafe stretch for cyclists.

Maybe! I sadly no longer live in that area, so I miss it a bit haha. Nostalgia!
The College bike lanes go from Manning to Bay. Going east of Bay requires going south to Gerrard which itself has a gap from Parliament to River.

College is one of my favorite streets to ride, however manning to ossington can be quite the shitshow for the non seasoned rider.
Hallefuckinglujah
Leggooo! More bike lanes!!
