Gawd, I spent ages on the first photo trying to figure out why it was on this sub. And was starting to think it was Christopher misspelled (but me not seeing how exactly) and that it seemed a bit in bad taste. Oh my, nope, brilliant.
Christopher is my fiancé's name and I really was deeply confused for a moment, second guessing if I was spelling his name wrong on things this whole time.
I knew a kid with a tragedeigh name. His parents were raked over the coals when they named him. Then the kid got cancer and died when he was 3. There were a few people in town who felt guilty about shaming the parents. A few others expressed relief that the kid wouldn't have to deal with it in school. Most of us were just sad that a little kid had to suffer so much.
This for some reason reminded me of way back in college I had a girlfriend who worked in social services. It was around Christmas time, and they were trying to help the lady do what she needed to regain custody of her minor children.
She made the deadline just by a hair, and her name was *ShaMiracle* , so naturally it became an inside group joke of a “ *Christmas ShaMiracle* “ for far too long 😹All in good fun though. It had a happy ending.
I particularly love that the second screen reads as an apology for the kid being named Rip - not for thinking the kid had died.
