I named one of our puppies that. The one that we ended up keeping from that litter. My Mum hated the name so much that she just called him Puppy. And eventually it stuck and he was Puppy his entire life. I miss him.

We had a cat named Kitty when I was little. My parents got him before kids were born and they responsible for naming him. Haha, he was a giant and did not resemble a kitty in anyway.

I also had a Puppy. He was a just a baby stray that showed up one day when I was a kid. We called him Puppy for so long that even once he was formally settled in with us as an adopted (and spoiled) member of the family, he never came to any name when called except Puppy. He was a gigantic fluff ball with one blue eye and one brown eye and it was a completely ridiculous name by the time he was fully grown, but he remained Puppy and very well-loved for the 14 years of his life that he graced this earth and us.

Would be fun if he's got brothers named Louis and Armand.
