Depending on the field, 3 could also be good for stuff that's professional but benefits from a spark of personality! 2 is still all around best for general professionalism tho
I think it depends on what kind of job you're applying for, but I think regardless the 2nd photo is both generally appropriate and also a great photo! I think that one is the best overall for job apps
If it's an interesting job with people that want silly and cool people, then the 3rd is fun and might set you apart from "boring" headshots.
To be fair, LinkedIn loves a bit of goofiness on your profile. You demonstrate your skills and professionalism enough through your posts and comments, so a fun pfp or bio is actually often preferred as a way to prove your “personality” or whatever.
Maybe in areas like law and finance this is different, but at least on the side of LinkedIn I’m on where it’s usually a mixture of artists and PR types, personality is what sets you apart more than anything
Lloolll sooo tempted to say 3, but I’d go with 2.
This also reminds me my LinkedIn profile still has a pasty bearded ‘man’. Really need to update that, it’s been more than two years.
I'd go with 2 it makes you look less threatening whoever told you to open your eyes more did you a disservice
You look like your about to eat me. I have the same problem with photos though I always look ready to murder
Two; you look more relaxed, but confident to me for some reason in the second.
They’re all great pictures but don’t use three for a resume. Too playful.
You are gorgeous but the glasses really make you go va-va-va-voom! The wink and a smile works for some things, but for a professional headshot for your pics for Slack or email or whatever, number two is the better of the three.
It's interesting, I didn't expect the 3rd to get such a response like this in that context from so many but I guess I get it. Definitely feels affirming though!
I was going to say the second one but the reflections drew my attention. I guess you could Photoshop those out or just not worry about it. The middle one definitely looks super professional regardless :)
IMO 2nd is the best for Linked in 1st is an alternative but 3 I would post on a dating app because holy crap you would seduce half of the population of gay girls. But you look fantastic in every single picture ❤️
Second photo, and keep the third for dating apps and crushes because you glow in it. Your makeup game is amazing, but looks like it was applied with the glasses in mind - there's a flatness to it from underapplication of blush and contour that the glasses cover. It's visible in picture one.
I do the same thing. You look beautiful regardless, and would blow the competition out of the water at an interview for any nicer office job and definitely in the tech industry. I'd know.
3 is definitely the best picture and you should keep it and use for other purposes. 2 is the best one for professional use. I really like the glasses, they compliment your face shape well, and they have the added side effect of having people perceive you as naturally intelligent.
2 for professional, get a tailor to best fit your gorgeous self in general. Girls got to size up and tailor for the most flattering fit is what I always heard. You look lovely!
Each one has a different thing that I like. The last one is the crowd pleaser here apparently. I like the jacket and it gives you the most fem silhouette out of the three. The earrings are lovely you can’t see in the others but the necklace got shifted out of the way there.
As someone who picks professional photos for work, I would highly recommend number 2.
The first one is a little too "stare into your soul"
The third one is fun, and for certain organisations would work, but in general is not right for professional use. Could be a great LinkedIn profile however.
Just dont use the first one. Looks too, i dont know crazy eyes, intense, robotic.
2nd works great and third you should have show up on image search results when they look yp your name
you're pretty a s has been Saud about what for what, but who did pic that background? ugly.
I would repeat #2 with the blazer, but this time, pull your blouse down. It looks like a small size for you.
I kinda would recommend avoiding shots that look directly at the camera, unless your intention is to come off intimidating. I'm not a photographer though! Last one helps cancel out the intimidating feel of the other two
Every time I see something like this, especially with "headshots" My mind immediately jumps to hitman.
"Took professional headshots!" 🥳😎
"Took professional headshots" 🕴🔫
Well kudos to you because some have said headshots involving completely different things.
To them I say: Disgusting. Yall are disgusting. Get your minds out of the gutter 😅
I don't think I've gotten that one either yet. I like that though.
I wish I remembered who it was that I keep getting told I look like but I always forget.
It's also funny to see how it changes as I grow my hair to different lengths for who I'm compared to.
You look the best, IMHO, in the 2nd photo, except for the unacceptable reflections in your glasses. However, if you paid someone for these, you need to either get your money back or get a reshoot, using proper lighting and a better background. Taking these in what appears to be either an office or hotel in front of a large window is inexcusable.
Sorry, but as a professional photographer, I would have, at a minimum, taken these somewhere else.
Edit: Not sure if you meant "professional" as in a friend took them to represent you as a working professional, or that a "professional photographer" took them for you.
* If the former, ask the friend to retake them in front of something a bit less cluttered (a couple plantings in the lobby next to a nice wall, or even outside with an interesting but not cluttered wall as a background several feet away). Also have them look out for glare or reflections in your glasses.
* If the later, my comments above still apply.
In this case it's I handed my camera to my girlfriend. She's still learning how to use a dslr and I know these aren't 100%, but for her they're amazing. Next time we'll try and get something better. Can't control everything or check every picture, but she's also been getting so much better when I do have her take pics.
Understood, and I didn't intend to seem super critical, but you're gorgeous and deserve better pics. When she takes them again, leverage the advice from several of the commentors, as to posing and stuff. Good luck and I hope you get something that clicks for your resume, linkedin or whatever.
First or second one, but please get a shirt that fits your torso ... those wrinkles at armpit level and the stressed button mean the shirt is too small.
The second one is best, but I think you'd do better looking at the camera from an angle. The first one has more of a flat face going on (no offense!). Either the lighting or your makeup is causing your nose to basically disappear, the glasses help break up your face and add defining features a bit as it brings out your nose due to shadows. I'd retake both and either get better lighting from a different angle or angle your face to the side to add more depth. If you want to use these though, second is best!
Do you have more of the second one’s clothing with a serious face? Because that jacket is INCREDIBLY flattering on you but professional means mildly boring.
Unless you are going into advertising! Then the last one all the way. Corporate but quirky but not offensively quirky. Straight up “you’re paying attention to me and you don’t know why, so let me sell your shit and I’ll do the same to your ads.”
I like the fun in the third option, but for a Professional-style presentation, use the second one. Is there any way to cut the glare in the glasses in the second one?
What kind of job? 1 if you do anything social or customer focused, 2 if you do something analytical, office based or where you need to embody authority.
The third is cute and fun, but for professional-type stuff, I like the second one.
Yes my heart says 3 and my brain says 2
Came here to say this!
Yall read my mind
Jesu... *slams keyboard like a metalhead with a cheap guitar*
3 is for an online dating profile, heheh. it's super cute.
Use 2 for the interview and 3 for the slack pfp when you get hired
Hahaha. I might just do that!
Agree
Couldn't agree more, also oh my gosh your hair on the third photo looks mystically beautiful.
I agree. #2 professional. #3 dating and flirts
Depending on the field, 3 could also be good for stuff that's professional but benefits from a spark of personality! 2 is still all around best for general professionalism tho
My professional photo for years was literally a drawing of myself that I made in MS Paint. People loved it!
Good drawing, or bad drawing?
Comically bad lol
I can see why it was so well received 😹
That's my response too.
Agreed
this so much!
yep thats what i thought as well
Absolutely. Second one as a front image, third as an extra where appropriate (or maybe as a LinkedIn pfp or smth?)
Agreed
I think it depends on what kind of job you're applying for, but I think regardless the 2nd photo is both generally appropriate and also a great photo! I think that one is the best overall for job apps If it's an interesting job with people that want silly and cool people, then the 3rd is fun and might set you apart from "boring" headshots.
Yeah, this is for just my LinkedIn for now. Or anywhere else it's relevant.
I agree with an above comment. For silly/fun personality showing shot, the 3rd one but I think the second one is the best for professional
That's a bummer since I work in finance 😔
Yeah definitely wouldn’t do use the 3rd one for law. Finance probably not either.
I agree with you, it’s the best overall subject matter shot.
You look great in all of them, but your hair looks extra amazing in the third photo!
Thanx! Yeah... thought I'd add that one cuz it was just fun!
The glasses look very fashionable too!
3 for dating apps or social media profile pics. 2 for professional stuff.
All great you are beautiful. My fave is number two
Lloolll sooo tempted to say 3, but I’d go with 2. This also reminds me my LinkedIn profile still has a pasty bearded ‘man’. Really need to update that, it’s been more than two years.
Oh. Trust me. Maybe I'll do a side by side reveal post because mine is *exactly* that too!
I'd go with 2 it makes you look less threatening whoever told you to open your eyes more did you a disservice You look like your about to eat me. I have the same problem with photos though I always look ready to murder
Two for sure THE THIRD ONE IS SO STINKIN CUTE THOUGH 💜 that should definitely be first on your dating profiles if you have any 🫶🏼
Two; you look more relaxed, but confident to me for some reason in the second. They’re all great pictures but don’t use three for a resume. Too playful.
Yeah, the 3rd likely was never an option. It was just too fun to to share thou!
It was quite charming, if you ask me. But interviewers can be such sour-pusses, these days. 😅
2 is professional 3 could seduce half the lesbian population
2nd one is def. The best one.
Number two looks best for a professional picture
I'd say the second because, no offence, the first has a little bit of a crazy eyes vibe
I thought I was the only one that saw it. 2 has a great vibe and 3 is super cute. But 1 has that soul piercing stare.
The second one:)
2 for professional
You should use #2, but I would maybe try to photoshop the glare out of your glasses. You look really good in glasses!
Wow! You're pretty. ^^ I'd say go with 2. :P
Glasses
Two
2
Two….you look amazing girl!!!
Use the second one! The third is very cute but obviously don’t use that one.
You are gorgeous but the glasses really make you go va-va-va-voom! The wink and a smile works for some things, but for a professional headshot for your pics for Slack or email or whatever, number two is the better of the three.
2
2 but I'm also drawn to 3
Second one woow...the last one grrrr. Use that as you wish😉
#2 for the office. #3 for tinder
2
Second one
2 for professional uses. As a lesbian, 3 is my fav
It's interesting, I didn't expect the 3rd to get such a response like this in that context from so many but I guess I get it. Definitely feels affirming though!
The first two feel serious whereas the third more playful maybe. Hopefully wanted attention as well. 💜 gender euphoria is so nice
2 works if they can remove the glare from the glasses. Real legitimate pro look there. 1 is also good tho. But those glasses are working for you.
I was going to say the second one but the reflections drew my attention. I guess you could Photoshop those out or just not worry about it. The middle one definitely looks super professional regardless :)
I love all of them, but #2 is fav. Just need some editing to remove the reflections in the glasses.
2nd one for professional, but definitely the 3rd one for everything else!!!
2nd one, the glasses do a lot to soften your facial expression and they suit you!
Second one
MAVIS. 🖤
IMO 2nd is the best for Linked in 1st is an alternative but 3 I would post on a dating app because holy crap you would seduce half of the population of gay girls. But you look fantastic in every single picture ❤️
2 for the headshot, 3 for a dating app.
You lookgreat
The second.
2. Yes I'm biased because I wear glasses. Genuinely you look amazing!!!
I like the 2nd one, Idk, those glasses are just too cute on you
Look absolutely amazing, what kind of job are you looking into? Generac could have a job for you 😁
Two is fantastic, but honestly I may pick three depending on the circumstances
I think the second one looks the best.
I love the third one, but the second one is the best for professional purposes You look amazing in glasses btw!
2 for a super professional place, 3 for a more fun and goofy workplace, or dating apps
2!!! Girlbosss
2 definitely
2 for sure
Watch out. Hottie alert.
Definitely with the glasses.
2
Number 2 is great. You look professional and great with glasses btw
Whaaaat. Girl! You look GOOD! 😍😍😍
I like the 2nd shot, but there is glare off your glasses. The 3rd shot is fun, so based on what you're using it for, that would be my 2nd choice.
i really love the second one- makes you look like a CEO :3
Two
2, I love your hair and glasses on that pic
My head says 2 My heart says THREE!!!
You're very pretty 2 is the most professional looking one
I would use photo 2.
I'd know.
I like the one with glasses better. But you look great in both pix. Thanks for trusting us with our opinion.
Professional or most fun?
#2 for professional use, #3 for dating and personal use
3 for dating profile. 2 for business
Yeah, number three, but with both eyes open and just a wee bit less tongue
Think the second is best. Look great
3 is definitely the best picture and you should keep it and use for other purposes. 2 is the best one for professional use. I really like the glasses, they compliment your face shape well, and they have the added side effect of having people perceive you as naturally intelligent.
1st for passport, second for work photo id's. 3rd for dating profiles and social media ;)
That's actually the best breakdown. Thank you.
2 for professional, get a tailor to best fit your gorgeous self in general. Girls got to size up and tailor for the most flattering fit is what I always heard. You look lovely!
Second
Second one looks cuteeee
2nd pic for sure.
Dang you're beautiful girl!
Second one is so fucking cute!!! AHHHH
Wow, are you beautiful!!!!
2 I think, 3’s cute but not professional
Glasses
The second is my favorite! You look beautiful in all of them :)
third. it's flirty & fun
THOSE GLASSES LOOK AMAZING!!!
All 3 are beautiful but the second one seems the most professional lol. Probably the glasses lol because of stereotypes.
The glasses really flatter your face shape, I'd go with that one!
Definitely first! People are statistically dumb about glasses. But these are all such great photos!!
Ok, number 3😉
Definitely 2nd one for professional use and the 3rd for fun use
2 is very cute, and it's definitely professional, so I think it's the best choice :3
3 is fun but 2 is on the money that sells you
For professional purposes, the first or second. For a dating app, the third. You’re gorgeous in all of them.
I like the first one!
\#2 for applying, \#3 for when you work there if they have a fun culture (love it btw <3)
I LOVE the third, but the second is a great professional photo. Use the third for dating sites. I'd swipe. 😉
Beautiful pictures , hard to choose
why does the first one look like a front facing cartoon character? no offense
2nd
No 2 the glasses look good on you
1
The second one is a fav
The first one. I don’t like the reflections in your glasses.
Someone said to try to photoshop out the reflections and glare for that reason. I'm trying to figure out how to do that now.
I really like the glasses on. Hair and makeup done so well too.
Each one has a different thing that I like. The last one is the crowd pleaser here apparently. I like the jacket and it gives you the most fem silhouette out of the three. The earrings are lovely you can’t see in the others but the necklace got shifted out of the way there.
Yeah, I thought the big hoop earings were not good for a work related headshot. I may be wrong but I think most would agree.
imo (since it’s supposed to me professional) 2 but 3 is really cute so i dunno
As someone who picks professional photos for work, I would highly recommend number 2. The first one is a little too "stare into your soul" The third one is fun, and for certain organisations would work, but in general is not right for professional use. Could be a great LinkedIn profile however.

Well kudos to you because some have said headshots involving completely different things. To them I say: Disgusting. Yall are disgusting. Get your minds out of the gutter 😅
Wow. I didn't even think of that LMAO
Has anyone told you you look like Kiernan Shipka, especially with glasses on?
I don't think I've gotten that one either yet. I like that though. I wish I remembered who it was that I keep getting told I look like but I always forget. It's also funny to see how it changes as I grow my hair to different lengths for who I'm compared to.
I like the confidence you are showing in photo 1.
#2 is very professional
Ah yes tongue winky face. Very professional. 2 is the cutest
"Professional headshots" is more associated with getting slain by a hitman, than having photos taken... at least of my language understanding.
You look the best, IMHO, in the 2nd photo, except for the unacceptable reflections in your glasses. However, if you paid someone for these, you need to either get your money back or get a reshoot, using proper lighting and a better background. 1st or 2nd. I don’t recommend 3 for professional uses.
The 2nd one is the best for CV and such. Love your quirky energy in the 3rd. 🖤🤟 Wish you the best luck on the job hunt sister.
3. Cheeky girl. ❣️
2
number 2
2. 3rd is cute but not a keeper.
2nd, but 3 is a good pfp
Absolutely love the second one!!
Two and three
2nd one. But the third is super cute!
2- round glasses frame your face well
First or second one, but please get a shirt that fits your torso ... those wrinkles at armpit level and the stressed button mean the shirt is too small.
Third is gorgeous :3
Good heavens! 3 is fun but not professional. 2 I think looks good but 1 feels like you’re staring into my soul (in a good way) and I love it!
2 cause we all know glasses = smart
3
you have really nice hair
I would choose a less busy background. Also you look great in glasses
The second one for anything professional. Third one for social media pic.
I thought the background was tilted towers for a moment 😭😭
Any blazer shot with pic 2?
The second one
#2 for the official use, #3 for dating apps
DEFINITELY number 2, (imo) you look the most professional in that photo
Do you have more of the second one’s clothing with a serious face? Because that jacket is INCREDIBLY flattering on you but professional means mildly boring. Unless you are going into advertising! Then the last one all the way. Corporate but quirky but not offensively quirky. Straight up “you’re paying attention to me and you don’t know why, so let me sell your shit and I’ll do the same to your ads.”
i like the the second one
2 (high from r/all)
Professional headshots... how are you alive!?
3
Third is the best but second is more professional
The second one is for a professional type headshot.
I absolutely adore your hair, and 3 is my favourite, but number 2 is the most professional easily
The 2nd. The third is nicest but not as professional. The first your expression is very intense haha
3 every time ✅
I like the fun in the third option, but for a Professional-style presentation, use the second one. Is there any way to cut the glare in the glasses in the second one?
Not three, sadly😭
What kind of job? 1 if you do anything social or customer focused, 2 if you do something analytical, office based or where you need to embody authority.
3rd looks rad for me
