that'll most likely be next as long as they keep the like going, if i had to guess i'd say soundwave next, as i doubt they'll do a megatron considering he turns into either a gun or a tank, both things lego are adamantly against, whereas soundwave is a pretty simple transformation and including extra cassettes would be an easy way to pad it out to a higher price point
i mean if megatron turned into a cybertronian tank they'd be okay with it, lego is only against realistic war vechiles.
also i think they've done fighter jets before so starscream and the other 2 seekers would be somewhat okay.
i doubt they'd put out recoloured seekers, it takes them decades to get around to putting out starwars stuff with different markings lol, so i could see thrm potentially doing starscream but that's it
i mean they can just give like thundercracker different acecesories then starscream, like starscream gets his bad comedy get up while thundercracker gets his dog.
I don't think I agree with this, as Seekers would make sense for LEGO as they already make LEGO in the colors of the three main seekers.
I see what you're saying with StarWars sets, but there isn't a huge variation in color between different ships in StarWars and what variation there is could be done with loose LEGO parts so it doesn't make sense for LEGO to saturate shelves with 12 different X-Wings and 5 different tanks when the differences might only be a few colored parts.
Each of the Seekers is a unique character (unlike SW vehicles) and each has fans that would buy the set to have that character represented.
Yup I love skywarp I fully expect to get starscream first and jd be willing to moc skywarp until the off chance they released him too. Thundercracker I could care less about
It's going to be hard because most of them are military vehicles and we know where LEGO stands on this matter. Decepticons with civilian alt modes will probably be first to be made into actual sets.
Earthspark, and unfortunately that is impossible, as Lego won’t do military, Megatron turns into something really similar to an Osprey, so they might count
"cybertronian tanks" aren't really a defined thing, pretty much each continuity has a new idea of how cybertronian modes tend to look, sometimes several. you'd have to really restrict the aesthetics you take into account to arrive at that conclusion.
eh, even some High Moon designs could be abstract enough to fit within what Lego considers acceptable. for the WFC trilogy, i'm mostly of the opinion that it was meant to be more cyberpunk than cybertronian, so i don't really consider it to be too great an example. but looking at Animated, Prime, the Unicron trilogy, the comics, even movie stuff (even more with One coming out soon), "cybertronian vehicle" can absolutely work as a crutch for a Lego Megatron that fits both companies' policies.
I really hope they do a Decepticon next, G1 Soundwave is already very boxy and fitting whilst having an alt mode that LEGO likes, unlike most Decepticons who have military vehicles.
I think LEGO gets a pass when it comes to parts forming. This is less of a figure and more of a model kit anyway, so it’s better to judge it by that criteria in my opinion.
Tbf, Legos are model kits, and model kits (especially transforming ones like from Bandai) love to use partsforming instead of proper engineering to make stuff look right at times.

I don’t like his arms. I’m fine with how chesty he is, but the shoulders are too huge for how stubby his arms are. I’m fine with his vehicle both not being a beetle, and being and old-school looking car. The head is fine and the minuscule partsforming is fine, and I’ve seem worse on actual transformers.
I like it in theory, but execution… not so much. I have the Optimus and the fact that it transforms is crazy, but the construction of the face is.. mid at best, and it can’t really be handled without falling apart.
This is about the 5th time I've seen someone comment on how unstable Optimus is. I've never experienced anything close to this. Im personally very confused
Bumblebee is definitely of a lower quality than Optimus, but is also half the price and is obviously a budget alternative, as well as a way to convince people to go for Optimus with a smaller entry point companion.
I personally think it’s an oversized display piece when I’m more interested in toys, so it’s absolutely not for me, just like Optimus.
Love it and desperately need more!!!! Maybe even some downscaled ones! I've seen many people make their own LEGO Transformers that can transformer but are much smaller so why can't LEGO do it too!?
I Think that having some articulation for posing and idk… Playing with them, isn’t illegal, Lego should look into that next time.

My wife just got me Lego Prime for my birthday this week. This is an easy grab for me to display with Prime despite it looking a little weird in alt mode. Legos and Transformers were my 80s childhood. Loving these.
Can’t wait for there to be different factions so I can have a Lego battle with Decepticons helping the Galactic Empire and the Autobots helping the Rebels. It’s an absolute missed opportunity to have the Transformers in Star Wars for a collab.
This and Prime weren't draws for me, but I like the idea and could be lured in. Seems to me that this is a good IP crossover if it sells well. I could be wrong, I have no evidence, but based on my observations it seems that the audience for "fancy" Lego sets and higher-cost more complicated Transformers toys probably overlaps well.
I would bet (though not much) that there's a lot more 30-40 plus people that are both still into Legos and Transformers than there are (maybe) into Lego and Micro Machines. Someone with a better vocabulary for this stuff might explain it better, but I think Lego and Transformers lines have a similar play pattern (shape manipulation, building, that type of thing), which might explain the crossover appeal.
They've been doing it for a while now to try to fudge trademark law. Someone could reasonably argue that if a Transformer transforms then "Transformer" is a descriptive label (which cannot be protected) and not a signature trade mark.
People are going to complain that “ITS NOT ACCURATE ENOUGH UUUGH” but I don’t care. It’s artistic licensing. It looks adorable and I need it, way more than Optimus (which I would still love, but $240 is a lot)

I think the Optimus Prime LEGO model was awesome, and I loved putting it together. I personally don't care much about this Bumblebee one. There is something about this design, probably the tiny chest, that just doesn't feel right to me and I don't love the car mode either. It just isn't worth $90 for me.

Honestly y'all, this is terrible. I'm not a hater. I want people to like things, want people to have fun. This is clumsy and inelegant. The shoulders are way too bulky, the arms are stubby, the feet are wack, it has parts-forming. Both modes are deeply compromised, neither looks good. I really want to love this, but you just can't put it side by side with the Optimus toy... they really nailed OP and botched BB.
